Ok, solved it.I noticed in the nvidia control panel my second screen was enabled. i disabled this and now everything is working ok again.

Had to format my pc and have reinstalled everything and having a major issue with FSX.Before I formatted, my performance was ok, now it's really poor.Whenever I use the external fps limiter now it cuts frames to between 10 and 12, where before it was solid 23.I tried the antilag one and that just causes the screen to switch between 2 different resolutions and creates major artifacting.Running default fsx unlimited seems alright but still something is not right.it is not as it was before I had to resetup everything.Anyone have any ideas as to why this has suddenly gone mental on me?Mark.

Hey guys,Was wondering if there are any plans to release an SDK for the MD-11? On the fs2crew forum people were asking for a voice version for the MD-11 and Bryan said to ask PMDG for an SDK to be released and it might happen, so I'm asking :)It would really add to the aircraft to have a voice version of FS2Crew to go with it.I think alot of people now only fly addons that support FS2Crew voice due to the level of realism and immersion it adds, so it would be beneficial to you and us to supply and SDK so this can be done.Thanks,Mark.

Switched to that and ok now.Still getting fairly poor performance. can drop to 15 fps for me. Also didn't see the rate of change slider :) set that to "0" now.Only have cloud layers to 3 and cloud draw distance to 70 in fsx.Installed fresh fsuipc.Still getting HDG mode in pmdg 747 being off by a fair bit. about 10degrees from whatever heading you set it to.Reinstalled that plane and stil the same. Tried with default fsx weather and plane is still not tracking true, but not as far off as with ASE.Mark.

Hey guys,Long time owner of active sky. Haven't been simming for a while and did a complete uninstall/reinstall of fsx recently. Ever since active sky is acting really strange for me.Just did an uninstall.reinstall of that too and still have problems.firstly the performance seems to be awful compared to before. I have fps externally locked to 23 and unlimited in fsx like always. when I fly in heavy cloud situations like the preset "instrument flight" it drops and stays around 17 on the ground and at low alt.I had cloud layers set to 5, then dropped to 3 and no difference in performance.Secondly, active sky seems to be drawing clouds out to the horizon regardless of view distance settings and the haze layer seems not to be working.Also active sky seems to keep resetting my fsx rate of weather change to medium, dunno if this is right?Also another strange issue is now when I fly the PMDG-747 the autopilot has a mind of it's own. I'm still using my old fsuipc settings for wind and temp control but it doesn't seem to work.I'm not getting s-turns, but haven't been flying via FMC yet, just testing via standard heading/speed and alt in MCP. If you dial a heading it always stays just shy of it. It will never reach the desired heading.Anyway, as you can probably imagine, I'm a little confused and frustrated at this stage.FSX default weather is fine and not causing any issues for me.i have also updated to sp3 as of last night and still no joy.Any help or suggestions would be welcomed.thanks,Mark.

Thanks for the reply. That's how I have it setup but xp can only connect to win7 system when I enable PUBLIC sharing on the win7 machine, but I am unhappy about that due to the fact of potential security issues.

Sorry to dig this topic up again but having a nightmare with this.I can only access my win7 machine from my xp machine if I set the PUBLIC sharing on. I thought that PRIVATE (home network) would work but it says access denied whenever I try accessing my win7 machine from xp.Is there a danger in enabling PUBLIC sharing? Both machines are connected to each other via a router which is connected to the net.Any help would be appreciated.thanks,Mark.

Big time. Pity that PMDG couldn't do an SDK for the 747 so the autopilot commands could be implimented as in the LVL-D.Does anyone know if the MD-11 has an SDK and is there any plans to do a voice version of that, with full autopilot commnads? I have the button version but after using hte voice version now, there is no going back :D

Ah ok. Don't have that. I just bought the Level-D 767 though and it works fully with that :)

Hmmm. Just listened to the voxpop voices on the site and they don't sound very good. Sounds like Stephen Hawking is your controller.I really wanna get it working with some proper voices, as the robotic thing is what put me off trying it in the past.

Have Neospeak voices assigned. Running Win7 x64 Ultimate so has it's own speech recognition prog.Here is my error log.. Just downloaded the demo of version 6 for fsx.Did the training for the voice and created a flight with flight plan.When i get to the cockpit and bring up the voxatc window and click enable, it does the voice tests and then says voxatc v6 Then it popos up in the lillte window saying "fatal error! disable voxatc"This happens after a few seconds when it's initialized. I can't get it past this point.If that makes any difference, I am using PMDG 747x, ASE for weather, I have traffic in FSX disabled and set to 100% in voxatc setup, using Mytraffix X v5.3a and the traffic is showing up fine, just can't get voxatc to work.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you,Mark.

Ok scratch that, both problems solved!!!!!!!!In case anyone had the same issue. I had installed a driver iz3d for trying anaglyph 3d in games and for some reason this messed up java completely and also dx preview button from appearing in FSX. Strange, but solved.Hope this helps anyone suffering simiilar problems.Mark.
