  1. I'm sure the NGX is going to be a great and innovative plane but it's not like they're rebuilding the simulator here. This will most definitely be an FSX limitation.
  2. This is something I ask myself all the time. I am currently an 18 year old that is working part-time while attending college full-time. I've been saving up all my moneyto hopefully start flight training at a local FBO one of these days but sometimes I feel that it might not be worth trying to turn flying into a career. After doing a report on low pay and fatigue in the regional airlines, it has really been giving me a lot to think about. On top of this, my parents pressure me into getting a more stable, professional job down the line and fly as a hobby. I am getting a B.S. in Business Informatics, and while it would be nice flying for a hobby, I am afraid of not pursuing a flying career and regretting my decision later on in life.
  3. Alright, thanks alot for the help Vic. I was able to find more detailed information on it now that I know what it's even called. =P
  4. Well, I'm still learning in terms of real world flying but I noticed that there are some charts like this one: Well, according to the bottom reference thing, it says to go to Gatto Int first, then track the outbound loc (272*), then pretty much turn around and continue down the ILS approach. I know this is sometimes done in full VOR approaches but is it required to do in an approach chart like this one? If it's not required, then what would you call this? A full ILS approach or something? Are approaches like this ever done in large airliners? Thanks alot, Anthony.
  5. Hey, I don't usually post in the PMDG forums but I had this same exact problem and I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. I lowered my overclock on my 9800GTX+ and it seemed to occur less often which led me to believe it was a graphics card issue with maybe overheating? Anyways about a couple months after I experienced this problem (which continued to occcur but not as frequently as before) my graphics card just died one morning. :( I actually have a GTX 460 being shipped in right now but anyways, I just wanted to post because I never really found out what the specific cause was (graphics card was just dying, ran too hot, etc..) and hopefully you will post back if you figure it out! Also, another thing is that I'm positive it isn't PMDG's plane because I've had a couple crashes with default FSX planes (although for some reason it doesn't happen as often as the MD-11).
  6. Ok thanks, I think I'm going to be going with the GTS 250 (equivalent to 9800 gtx+ at 100 bucks) because I don't really have the money for much right now. That is of course if the graphics card is causing the problem.
  7. Hi, so pretty much I turned on my computer this morning and it won't display anything. All the fans are running (louder than usual) and the lights are on everything. I tried resetting CMOS but that didn't work so I started taking parts out and testing. When I take out my graphics card, this time my computer sounds normal and the fans don't run so loud. Does that mean it's my graphics card that's causing no display? I don't happen to have a a spare graphics graphics card to so I'm not 100% if that's the problem (also, this motherboard doesn't have any integrated graphics to test with)What do you think?specs:e8400 3.5ghz9800 gtx+msi 750i mb750w psu4gb ram ddr2
