FSX Startup Procedure for Hovercontrol 412?
Hmmm, Inverters are on? Ctrl+F4 tried out to rev up the rotor?

Inability to get lift off in FSX
Hi Don,as far as I know, it should not be a heck of a problem that your Saitek Controller is stated with the wrong nam, as Axxis-Definition stays the same, and if you are able to apply power in fixed wing aircraft, you should be able to use the collective in helo's as well.Does your Rotor RPM settle around 100% when you try to apply power? If not, or if you are unsure what I am talking about, try Ctrl+F4. That should give you a change in sound and, after a couple of seconds (as soon as the sound is steady again) the ability to apply power and lift that thing off the ground.

Survey: Helicopter Interest
Most probably not, 'cause I have very limited time left for virtual-flying and as such would not be interested in having to do scheduled flights during that time. however, a loose bunch of H/C pilots having fun doin' flight together from time to time could change my mind. ;) I prefer military VFR traffic, SAR too. Cargo flight in the backcountry or into rough terrain are fine for me too. Fly as realistic as we can while still keeping it fun. As far as VA Orga is concerned......well, try not to create a Kindergarten, but, find a level challenging enough to still be fun. Best area would be a city like Tokyo, where you can do intensive "downtown flyin'" and still be in coastal environment, island hopping or in the japanese alps in just about no time. Well, as I do only fly Bell UH-1D/H Choppers, try an educated guess... ;) You are welcome.

Multi Monitors and VFR
Hi John, just guessing, but, maby woth giving it a try.... In your main window (the one with the instrument panel) click on the outside view and extend the window down to the bottom of your screen. Could work, as I seem to remember, that I had to do something like that on my multimonitor setup back in the FS-98 days. :)

Format of panel.cfg file.
David,Your PFD and MFD don't show up, because you haven't given them a dimension. You just stated the vertical and horizontal position. Just alter Your: "gauge06=gl747-CRTs!gl10-MFD,337,389"Into something like: "gauge06=gl747-CRTs!gl10-MFD,337,389,120,120" (120 is measured in PIXEL, play with it a little to get a feel for sizing object in yr panel. Having two different values here will convert a square object into a rectangle.)
