The Embraer 120. Carenado did a decent job on the one for P3D

Manuel
yes, where is the user.config file located?
-
On 7/31/2022 at 1:22 PM, Manuel82 said:Ok, with this details we can see what file is giving the troubles. To reset this, you must go to this directory:
C:\Users\spenc\AppData\Local\A\
And delete the entire "FS2Crew_CRJ_for_MSFS.exe_Url_jinr5h2deiqtbtbrxvwcihymi0j25wur" folder with all its content, and restart FS2Crew CRJ, and it should automatically recreate it correctly. As per the error message the "user.config" file contained in that folder has been corrupted/badly writting in disk, for reasons we still don't know...this is weird.
Cheers,
Manuel
I have already removed this folder and reinstalled both RAAS and fs2crew for the crj, but the error is still coming up. What is weird is that "A" folder hasn't reappeared even after reinstalling FS2crew.

Manuel
It is an "Unhandled Exception" error. There is lots of text in the details, but the first line reads this:
System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException: Configuration system failed to initialize ---> System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException: Root element is missing. (C:\Users\spenc\AppData\Local\A\FS2Crew_CRJ_for_MSFS.exe_Url_jinr5h2deiqtbtbrxvwcihymi0j25wur\1.2.25.0\user.config) ---> System.Xml.XmlException: Root element is missing.

Looks like I may have spoken too soon. It did boot up successfully yesterday after a reinstall, but now its back to doing the same thing again with the same error message.

no just FS2crew RAASPRO and the CRJ thats it.

Hello,
For some reason FS2crew is giving me this "root element is missing" error when I launch it with the CRJ7 loaded. Oddly enough it works fine with the -900 though. How can I fix this?
Thank you

Hello,
I have tried multiple times now to get the fuel calculator to reset to approximately zero, but each time it ends up adding gallons rather than removing them. For example the calculator was showing 206 gallons (aircraft actually has 82 gallons onboard), so I subtracted 206 from 1001 and got 795. I entered 795 into the calculator under "add gal", reset master switch, and then, for some reason, the calculator now shows 1001 gallons remaining. Am I doing something wrong here? It should be subtracting gallons not adding.

It is hard to explain, but the existing external view (S key) looks slightly off. Is there a way to get an external view like with what we have in p3d and FSX? The sim almost looks stretched and distorted (especially when you zoom out) in MSFS.

Hello,
I recently replaced the toe brake pots in my CH rudder pedals but I neglected to take a picture before I disconnected the wiring. Now I just have the right brake pedal being recognized, but the left pedal and the rudder axis (Z axis) is not recognized at all. Is there a wiring diagram available anywhere so I can check to make sure I have all the wires connected correctly? I was unable to find anything on Google.

IRUs are still quite expenses, and unless the aircraft is intended for overwater operations, an IRU is of little value. If GPS/GNSS goes down, we revert to VOR or DME/DME RNAV en route navigation (if approved).
How does this work for some of the medevac LJ35's that frequently cross the pond? I've seen a few that run from CYQX to EINN.

All payware airliners so far coming out is a cash grab with a coverup lip stick job that relies on other default systems and a shell within a shell, with very poor implementation and zero plausible fidelity. FBW A320 blows this out of the water and its free fairly complete modelling with a very well representation of its systems and a very functional FMC. Did I say free? There is a very hungry market that is itching to fly a proper airliner other than an A320.
Kind of remains me of all the “detailed” aircraft in xplane that settle for the default fms. Although there are at least some high quality add on aircraft for xplane available.

The 767-400 cockpit is similar to the 777, but it has the older FMS and -300 style overhead panel.

2 hours ago, Ray Proudfoot said:@sho69607, up to 10 at a time should be fine.

I am still in the process of installing all the packages. Unfortunately if I select them as a multi-install, I find that the downloads freeze or time out after some time. I am clicking them one by one which takes way longer, but seems to be working for now.
-
Is it possible to enter gps coordinates into the fms? So far I have tried both 6115N and 61N015W, but neither seem to be accepted as waypoints.
-
The sad part is no other quality developers seem to want to tackle the 757/67 project. You have Flight Factor on the Xplane side, but that isn’t without its flaws either.

I use full dynamic 24h sky setting for ENVTEX+ASCA. I don´t know if this influences the sky colors but for sure the cloudtextures from ENVTEX are used in combination with those of ASCA in a quite good mix. ENVSHADE seems to influence the cloud brightness which looks quite realistic especially at evening twilight.
ASCA doesn't work with EA on though, right?
What controls snow coverage? MSFS or REX weatherforce?
in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)

When using REX weatherforce instead of MSFS live weather, does it control the snow coverage too or just the weather? I am noticing snow is not showing up in areas where it should be.
