Maybe a little more news on Dovetail Games's plans for FSX . . . .
I have been a FS enthusiast since the original FS Microsoft release and have enjoyed them all including the so called faults. I started with trainsim when it was first released by microsoft, and though there were many bugs, it was ok and did get better with updates. Then microsoft pulled out and eventually it went to Steam whereupon it became a bloated overpriced piece of junk. Rail sim kept releasing a fair few extras as downloads at a hefty cost, and everyone was buggy, as if they did no beta testing. Then they introduced trainsim 2013, which you had to have or it would not work with the new dlc's and again for 2014 another update which again costs money otherwise your new dlc's will not work. Say goodbye to what was a quite cheap sim to a new one which will slow your computer down and cost you lots in add-ons.

Not a Game!
I looking at the MSFX B747, 777, 737 etc fitted with the garmin and I did mention a FMC which all those aircraft have. There are a lot of aircraft fitted with GPS from hand helds in GA aircraft to coupled ones on older aircraft that do not have an FMC but wish to make use of GPS. But it still is only a game.

Not a Game!
All of you who think this is a sim are deluding yourselves. It is a very good game based on aircraft simulation. It can teach aspiring pilots some of the important parts of flying real aircraft like how to navigate using FMC etc, not the stupid Garmin GPS that is never used on real aircraft. With a couple of exceptions, it does not teach you how to carry out a preflight walk round, if you cannot be bothered with this then you are definitely only playing a game. From joining the RAF at the age of 15 1/2 until I retired age 64 nine years ago, I spent my whole life within the aircraft industry and I can ensure you this is a game, not a sim. If you want to fly a sim, be prepared to fork out $400 an hour, and true professional pilots still say this is not real enough.

Wingsuit flyer lands - without a chute
Really disappointed with the reaction from our cousins across the pond, this was a planned jump, two practises using a parachute to stop on each and on the final run, a parachute was worn in case he had to abort. The film shown was poor but forward speed was down to 15mph and vertical about 50mph, no problem for a stuntman whose whole life is doing what people demand of them in action films.

FS Option Buttons
I can only blame myself, but I have lost my option buttons on all the aircraft. You know, those bunch of icons that enable you to do a one click with the mouse to bring up the radiostack or the GPS or ATC etc.I know I can still get them by using shift plus a number, but its not the same, especially if you are in a hurry. Would appreciate any help fellow members can give me. Thanksjrbeejay
