1. I Saab340, I finally buyed a Maximus V Gene, 2700K, GTX670 and 2x4Gb Ripjaws 2133. Yes, the 660Ti works fine, but I've read that has that has any isues with AA. Decreases to much it's perfomance. regards, Austim
2. Thanks Ben. This morning I was searching for TX750 in my city, but i haven't found it. I only found the ugly CS800. I will wait for TX750. It seems it's a good PSU. Finally I change the 2500K for a 2700K. I know i't not a significant increase, but if Idecides to change FSX for X-Plane or another new flight simulator In future, perhaps any new simulator will use HT. I don't know. 85€ is not a big difference. I've mounted my new PC, except PSU. I'm using temporally a 600W Thermaltake Litepower (Awesowe, it works with the GTX670) :diablo: Motherboard is Maximus Gene V, i7 2700K, G.Skill Ripjaws X 2x8Gb 2133, and an Asus GTX670. First manually intent to overclock to 4.5 was succesful. -P I need to reconfigure some things of my old system, but at the moment, FSX seems to run very good. Regards, Austin
3. Thanks Randy, Whats your framerate in very dense scenerys like London VFR + GLobal + REX or AS......? I buyed yesterday my 2500K and I'm thinking to change my 2500K for a 2700K, but not sure if there are significative frame rate increase, if I need to deactive HT for overclocking it. I'm thinking to overclock it to 4.5 Regards, austin
4. I'm thinking in a Corsair TX 750 V2 and 2x4Gb G.Skill Ripjawks Z series ¿Good idea? Regards, Austin
5. Any recomendation in 700 or 800W range ? 2500K with one GTX670, no SLI. I've no idea of high end RAMS. Perhaps G.Skil Ripjawks 2x8Gb modules at 2133 0r 2400? Any other model or brand? I'm searching stability under smooth overclock, Thanks, Austin
6. Some RAM specs: Maximus V Gene: 4 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR3 2800(O.C.)/2666(O.C.)/2600(O.C.)/2400(O.C.)/2200(O.C.)/2133(O.C.)/2000(O.C.)/1866(O.C.)/1600/1333 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory Dual Channel Memory Architecture Supports Intel® Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) * Hyper DIMM support is subject to the physical characteristics of individual CPUs. Sabertooth: 4 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR3 1866/1600/1333 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory Dual Channel Memory Architecture Supports Intel® Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) * Hyper DIMM support is subject to the physical characteristics of individual CPUs. It seems ths Maximus V Gene it's a bit better with high end RAM. I don't now what tipe of RAM I'll use, but with MVG I have the possibilities of use 2800 if I need it. Insane overclock? :diablo: Perhaps the best mother would be a "mix" between these two motheboards. A gene V with ATX size and 3 PCIe. No, Maximus V Formula is too much expensive -P Regards, Austin
7. Thanks Santi, I was concerned with my choice, because I do not like to be wrong with the choice of components. I love Sabertooth. It's beautiful and was my first choice. I hesitate to change it by maximus V Gene. There are any important difference between these two motherboards? Size appart, of course. -P There is some other problem with that is micro ATX board, apart from space for graphics cards? I prefer a large motherboard, but I think I really do not need that extra space. Perhaps I'm wrong. Regards, Austin
8. Yes, MVG it's a micro ATX, but this is not a problem for me due I use only one graphic card, with no SLI or Crossfire. I like Sabertooth very very much. Of fact, it was my first choice. But after a read a lot of information and reviews, I have seen it's a bit more "special" with very high speed RAM's. I don't now if this question is true or not, but I've seen any review with any issue starting system using 2133-2400 RAM, Certainly, the Maximus V Gene is a rare board. It's very little. I like big motherboards, but of fact, this is not an important trouble for me, due I don't need to use two graphic cards. MV Formula is to much expensive for me. I buyed a few minutes ago, a Maximus V Gene, an i5 2500K and an Asus GTX670 Direct CUII. I think FSX will run smoothly with this hardware. Perhaps an 2600K/2700K will be better, but I think this 2500K with a 4.5GHz overclock will run FSX good. ¿Do you thik it's a good hardware choice? I'm in time to change any component. I prefer 2700K, but if FSX not use Hypetreading, ¿The only difference between 2500K and 2700K is the 200MHZ speed? I don't knoy if the 2Mb of cache it's an important question in FSX. My computer is for FSX exclusive use. Regards. Austin
9. It's a cheap option. I don't know how capable is this board for overclocking, specially al high RAM speeds. I'm considering now to buy a MVG with a 2500K and buy a GTX670 & better RAM with money difference. Perhaps a little expensi mother alternative, like Gigabyte? MVG is really a big tempation. Sabertooth too. -P Regards, Austin
10. I've now an Crosshair IV Formula and is too the best board I've owned. Unfortunately, FSX is not a good friend of an AMD Phenom 1090T. Then, the question is between: Maximus V Gene, GA-Z77X-UP5 TH, and Sabertooth. ¿Perhaps MVG is a bit better for overclock than Sabertooth? Maximus V formula is to much expensive. There are a real perfomance diference between the new GTX660Ti and GTX670Ti? Regards, Austin
11. Thanks Jete, I't seems a great board, but I have not confidence with MSI and Asrock brands. Perhaps would be a good choice, but i've dudes about these brands. I think in Asus, Gibabyte terms. But i'm lost in a lot of models: g.sniper.3, sabertooth, maximus V gene (MV formula is out of my economy)..... Regards, Austin
12. Thanks Ben, I think Maximus V Gene will be a good choice, but saberttoth is a great temptation... And perhaps an P8Z77-V Pro is more modern motherboard. I don't know. I've read Maximus V Gene has some stutters issues when using 2 graphics cards.... Perhaps is not true. I've an Cooler Master 2120 Hyper EVO air cooling system. In first instance I will try to reach 4.5 with this, if possible. In future, perhaps I will buy an H80 or H100 to reach upper clock speeds. I think 4.5GHz is an reaseonable speed with and air cooled 2700K. No problem with lower speeds. I've time to buy another cooling system in future and increase clock speed. Austin
13. Hi, Tomorrow I will buy a new computer. I need to choose a new CPU, motherboard, and VGA. Computer will be used only for FSX flight simulation. No other games, except perhaps Prepar3D or X-Plane 10 in a future. I've decided for a i7 2700K, due a better overclocking temperatures and an Z77 motherboard. I've read a lot about motherboards info but I need to decide today wich moterboard I'll buy. Candidates: ASUS (I'm a happy Asus user) Sabertooth Z77 Maximus V Gene P8Z77-V Pro Perhaps some Gigabytes: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H Asrock perhaps is a good choice, but I not have confidence with this brand. I'm having a hard time deciding between those motherboards. What do you think about this? ¿Another candidates? I need to overclok the 2700K between 4.5-5GHz and use a 2133 or 2400 RAM (2x8Gb) Anether question: I'm thinking in a new VGA. Asus GTX660Ti OC2 seems a good choice, but GTX670DCII is only 80€ more expensive. Really is a significative difference in frame rates on FSX. ¿Anpther good choice? Thanks, Austin
14. Until today, I use an external frame limiter called FPS Limiter 0.2. In FSX setup I'd frames in unlimited and limited it to 30 with this external limiter. In my computer resulted in a smooth movement. But only with one monitor. If I use two or more monitors, use of FPS Limiter results in a loss of frame rate. I try to setup this in 60 frames per second with 2 monitors or 90 with 3 monitor, with significative gain, but not as great as without it. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/292799-fps-limiter-02-and-fsx/ Regards, Austin
15. SOLVED! Loss frame rate was due to use of a external frame limiter. Executing FSX without this limiter it works great! Regards, Austin
16. Hi, I've a critical loss of frames when I try to undock PDF, ND and EICAS windows. I need to do it becouse I'm a cockpit builder and I need to undock these windows to another monitors, wich are controled by another graphical card. You can see it in this video: I've between 20 and 21 frames per second in the poor of conditions:, Under heavy scenerys and a lot off addons (Gobal, Ultimate Terrain, Ground Environment, Active Sky 2102...). It's a decent frame rate foor fly. Test is only with one graphical card and one monitor. It's normal this crytical loss of frame rate? Regards, Austin
17. I recently buyed the new NGX. I'm cockpit builder, and I would like to migrate from my old NG under FS 2004 to new NGX with FSX. Last week I begins to install in a new HDD from zero. I installed the new NGX, with SP1c update with SDK support. Due to excellent job of PMDG and Paolo (CPFlight), my hardware, MCP, EFIS & ATC module, works fine with new NGX. But.... I've too Opencockpits hardware, and I've a doubt with it. One part works fine, but other part not works. Plug & play radios, NAV, COM & ADF, works fine, Flaps gauge seems to work (Needs to adjust some things, but seems to work using old offset) Level Gear not works, using old NG offsets. Can you tell me new offset? Using key "G", MIP annunciators works fine, but main switch (Level gear) not works, Perhaps wrong offset? Autobrakes switch not works. I now it no worked in old NG, but I will like to now if it is possible to work it with this new NGX. And finally, the last question: It's possible to use Opencocpits hardware such as IOCards? I need to use all MIP panels, like autobrakes, Main Panel DU's, A/T, FMC, A/P buttons... All of this is connected to Master Board, Expansion USB board and input & output boards... and programmed with SIOC. I think it will be possible, due to my annunciattors works fine using "G" key and Flaps gauge seems to work (Connected to input card and servo card and using SIOC). I can see this Peter Downson's post in your forums, but have no replies from March 14. http://forum.avsim.n...fsuipc-offsets/ Please, can you provide more information for us? It's a pleasure to fly with this new plane and will be great that cockpits builders will be use It. We specially need offsets, like autobrakes and others. Congratulations for this new great plane! Regards, Agustí
18. Robert,Thank you for this news.I'm very happy that you considering X-Plane 10 as a real alternative. :(I vote for NGX as project to convert to X-Plane 10.Your NGX working on X-Plane 10 could be a dream!Cockpit buiders are waiting a modern option for us.FSX is not a bad simulator, but is an old simulator programmed in 2005-2006 and it's not prepared to support real multi-core and new graphics features as Dx10 or 11. 6 years is an eternity.Today, we know that Microsoft Flight will be an arcade game.Due we are abandoned by Microsoft, the only modern platform that could use this features is X-Plane 10.I still using FS9 with your old NG. The only platform that works 100% stable, but I need a real modern option that exploits the potential of actual computers. We are in Stone Age too.......Aerosoft is beginning to work in sceneries, like Zurich or Amsterdam, I hope PMDG give us a surprise in a few months.Regards,Agusti
19. Hi,Given that the next Microsoft Flight is more arcade-oriented, the future of cockpit-builders is X-Plane 10.There are no more options.X-plane 10 has the lack of not having an airplane like your NGX.I think its NGX along with the new X-Plane would be an unbeatable combination.Do we have any chance to have their aircraft operating in X-plane?I read in other forums that in the FSweekend could see a NGX beta versions working on X-plane 10...Regards,Agus
20. Hi,I'm a cockpit builder and I'm using actually the 737NG over FS9.Actually, my project is stopped due to an important reason:I need to program SIOC code of AUTOBRAKE switch, but I have a problem with 737 PMDG offsets. Standard FS offset $2F80 does not works.I tried the AUTOBRAKE offset $62AA found at various websites, but it didn't work. I know that PMDG offsets aren't published.I would to like two things:1.- It's possible to obtain a list of 737NG PMDG offsets? (At least autobrake offset)2.- The new 737NGX will come with public offsets, or will remain private?I like PMDG's 737NG. I think is the better plane for Flight Simulator, and I have many expectavives on the new NGX plane. But most builders we are forced to leave this plane because you do not publish the offsets.I'd hate to have to buy another plane from another brand, but the cockpit builders are required to do so if we do not have offsets, becouse we can not continue our project. It's a shame.I would like to know your plans about this question. Thanks,Agus
