Any recomendation in 700 or 800W range ?

2500K with one GTX670, no SLI.

I've no idea of high end RAMS. Perhaps G.Skil Ripjawks 2x8Gb modules at 2133 0r 2400? Any other model or brand? I'm searching stability under smooth overclock,

Thanks,

Austin

I'm thinking in a Corsair TX 750 V2 and 2x4Gb G.Skill Ripjawks Z series

¿Good idea?

Austin

I use the above PSU with an I5-2500K and GTX 670. I also use GSkill Ripjaws X 2133. You really can't go wrong.

Thanks Randy,

Whats your framerate in very dense scenerys like London VFR + GLobal + REX or AS......?

I buyed yesterday my 2500K and I'm thinking to change my 2500K for a 2700K, but not sure if there are significative frame rate increase, if I need to deactive HT for overclocking it.

I'm thinking to overclock it to 4.5

austin

I only fly in the US and online but heavy weather etc in the NGX is mid 20's and smooth. Just follow Kostas guide.

Stay with your 2500K. - You will see no performance gains if you upgrade to a 2700K.

Also, for a PSU, I would also recommend the Corsair TX750 PSU.

Thanks Ben. This morning I was searching for TX750 in my city, but i haven't found it. I only found the ugly CS800.

I will wait for TX750. It seems it's a good PSU.

Finally I change the 2500K for a 2700K. I know i't not a significant increase, but if Idecides to change FSX for X-Plane or another new flight simulator In future, perhaps any new simulator will use HT. I don't know. 85€ is not a big difference.

I've mounted my new PC, except PSU. I'm using temporally a 600W Thermaltake Litepower (Awesowe, it works with the GTX670) :diablo:

Motherboard is Maximus Gene V, i7 2700K, G.Skill Ripjaws X 2x8Gb 2133, and an Asus GTX670.

First manually intent to overclock to 4.5 was succesful. -P

I need to reconfigure some things of my old system, but at the moment, FSX seems to run very good.

Well, FSX can already make use of HT for quicker texture loading. But it will also result in lower FPS so it's only handy in very specific situations. For example flying in fast but not so FPS taxing aircrafts low over photo scenery. It also requires you to have the scenery on a velociraptor or SSD to really see the difference. I regularly make use of HT to get the crispiest photo scenery textures. So the 2700K gives you that option.
