  1. Resolved - ran as administrator - enough said!!! All is well.
  2. After not using the programme for quite a while, I started using it three weeks ago for a VA tour. Love the planning facility. All was well. I was showing and demonstrating it to a good friend of mine via Zoom yesterday, and he thought it was brilliant (we both use XP11); anyway he bought it this afternoon. I decided to visit the website and realised I was a few versions behind (2.6.1.3). I downloaded the update (2.6.3.1) and installed. First it wouldn't validate it because said it was on another machine, not true! Anyway, I tried de-activating it and then activating and it opened up after a computer restart. But then the real problem began, all the settings/configs were seemingly as they were in the old version BUT it will not connect to XP. I have checked and rechecked according to the guides and am sure I haven't missed anything, but it will not connect. XUIPC is in place and the microphone is OK, but no joy. Wished I hadn't updated!! Any suggestions please or thoughts on what has gone wrong. I really need to get this sorted. Thanks
  3. Sorry to hear the (bad) news. Did Dave come up with any ideas. Although you and I have had a similar issue, it doesn't seem to be coming up as a mainstream issue judging by the posts.
  4. After more research, I think it is the mike. Going into settings the mike volume was very high. When I reduced it to 50%, P2A suddenly started to recognise the call sign. And I am sure I know what has happened! I think it was the Win 10 update that happened a couple of weeks ago. Win 10 updates have screwed up my settings before, changing default speakers to the monitor's etc. I haven't touched mike settings but I am sure that it is connected with an update altering settings. Anyway it seems to have sorted for me so C130FE check if something like this has happened to your system. I think it is the curse of Win 10 updates!!!
  5. I am having exactly the same issue. It did work for me then recently just would not recognise my call sign. It initially was an airline call sign Skyways 174 (Our VA callsign). I tried changing it to a GA aircraft: - Cessna GJMM, but it still asks me to use a proper call sign. Have this evening done a re-install of P2A - same result! All I can do at the moment is to use sayIT. This however is not conducive to doing circuits. Not sure what I can do. Nothing wrong with my mike - works fine for Skype. I am using the most recent version of P2A. Really want to get this sorted but just not sure what I can change. My call signs must be OK because SayIt recognises it. John
  6. Many thanks for the response and instructions, that's good. John
  7. Hi I bought GTN750 for XP11 2 months ago and am very impressed with it. I run 2 copies of XP11 on the same computer, though on different drives. One copy is a stable version and the other for the latest beta to test it out. I obviously installed the GTN750 in the stable version. My question, is it possible to also run the GTN750 in the second installation of XP11 without being in breach of the EULA and if so how would I install it? thanks Yorkshire
  8. I purchased P2ATC in October 2016, and thought highly of the programme. When the 64 bit version came out, I downloaded and installed using, as I was advised to do, my existing registration. 2 days ago I downloaded the full version of the most recent update 2.5 and over wrote the old 2.4 vesion I had. When the program automatically started it asked me for the registration key, which I copied and pasted in. I got the message back that it is not allowed on 2 computers and it failed to start. I have never had it on another computer. I then went in to the 32 bit folder and started it, only to find that I got the same message. 72 hours ago, P2ATC 64bit was working fine for me. Now I can't start it as I can't activate it. Not sure what is going on but would be grateful for advice as to what I need to do. Is this something that needs to be done at P2ATC end, do I need to send order details etc. Thanks John Metcalfe
  9. Bought it myself for my VA's Nordic routes. Worth having. John
  10. I think I had this issue - turned out that 124th was inside a folder that was inside Plugins. Needed to take it out of that folder and place directly inside Plugins. Might have been the way I unzipped. Check your folders!
  11. Don't know whether this is possible but I was wondering if when doing a descent, a small arc could appear on the flight plan to show expected arrival point at current rate of descent - rather like what appears on the big jet displays of the more advanced craft. But don't let it interfere with work on Ai integration! That's cool. Is it with Xlife, default or the yet to be released WT3? - or perhaps all of them!
  12. Would you believe it, just turned XP 11 on and P2A and suddenly the voices are working. After nearly 72 hours of pulling my hair out (not much to start with!) it has suddenly inexplicably snapped into operation. Thanks everyone for all the information, support and advice. Panic over. No idea why or how it happened but seems to have solved itself. Dave - you can rest a bit easier!! John
  13. After reading Jabloom's helpful links, where MS seem to mess up our install, then say it is up to developers to comply with new system, will it be possible Dave to make P2A compatible with the new mobile voices? I know this will be extra development that you probably don't want, but I think quite a few will be caught out like me! John
  14. Thanks Dave for coming in. I did purchase one 3rd party voice in the new year sale - 'Heather' from CerePro. She seems also to have been cancelled out and doesn't work. Sad for me as A2P now only functions as a (really great) flight planner. Needs to be flagged up in capital letters for others to not allow MS to update their Win 10 to this disaster!! You would have thought someone on their team would realise the potential negative effect that this would produce - and give a warning. John
  15. Thanks chaps - that is bad news indeed for me! I don't feel confident messing with the registry! It should have come with a warning from MS that it will mess things up.
