Well it seems the crash is a result of a deffective proxyUser.ini file. i replaced it and now FSX doesnt crash but the error mentioned above is still there. It would be interesting to investigate what was wrong with the deffective proxyUser file.

After spending hours trying hard to make Tileproxy work under Windows 10 and succeeding, now i face a new problem and its when i operate FSX together with Tileproxy, FSX crashes. There is that messages in the begining of Tileproxy launching that says : proxyUser : could not get DOS name for volume 'Device\NamedPipe' : 0x... <the request is not supported.> Could that message be the reason for the crash? Maybe there is no other way but to go back to Windows 7.

I would like to stary making my own videos. Currently i have a screen of 1280X1024 resulotion. What presets i should make in order create and make a hd video that i can upload to YouTube? And what is the format i should save the rendered video so i can upload it to YouTube?

I know Foly-vi. I was just curious about how to do it alone. Especially when it comes to google maps.

And i'm aware that there is a special site that gives the current number of map service version. I'm just curious how can i find it alone. Thanks in advance.

Hi Thanks for your answer. Bing has improved their coverage but yet not good enough, at least not in my country. But it is better then nothing. Google is still the best but it cant be used with tile proxy. I even tried. Yahoo refers to another maps service called 'HERE'. https://developer.here.com/

In my region Yahoo maps has now good resulotion compared to Virtual Earth. But when i connect to Yahoo maps with tileProxy i get only 503 response.

Thanks. I'll try it. In my country the cover of virtual earth is not well. How do i check alone about the new version of google maps if there is new one?

When it comes to flying Google Maps, does it need any special code in the proxyuser.ini? Or to leave the usual lines.

Where can i achieve this patched Tileproxy??

Can only wander why Google is so hard with using their services. The TP community is so small, so what overload it can create.?

Installed computer with windows 7. installed FSX and tileproxy and i get this error : tileproxy.sys: PreCreate: Unsolicited access to '\Users\Me\TilesProxyTemp\TileProxy Photoreal world\0702\TEXTURE\013120120130010SP.BMP' by '\Device\HarddiskVolume2\Windows\System32\SearchProtocolHost.exe'! tileproxy work.. but this error appear many times in TP window and it slows it. Thanks.

Hi I have just bought through Amazon a new Saitek X52 Pro Flight control system. So far so good..but i wanted to adjust the handle height using the metal screw at the front of the joystick. But alas.. the metal screw is stuck and move very short spin. So i used a plier to open it in anti clockwise direction to open it but now it moves freely and the screw wont open. Has anyone encountered a problem like that or have a soluition? I'm affraid i wont be able to send it to a fix cause i live outside USA. Thanks ilan

Thanks.I found the POH of the cessna grand caravan and learn that not all models are equipped with the inverter.It is a pitty that carenado didnt make a checklist suitable for their model ...but after reading about turboprop engines and also some about the caravan i learned about the checklist better.

HiI recently bougth Carenado's grand caravan for fsx and i love it.But i wander where is the Inverter supposed to be in the panel as it is written in the Before starting engine to check it is off. another questions - where can i find more explanation about the colors of the weather radar?

HiI migrated to win7 64Bit OS and i have a problem with eyepoint settings each time i change something in the controls settings. I had a problem first both in FS9 and FSX under WIN7 64bit OS by that the entries values for the EYEPOINT were negative values.I wrote about it in "Hardware Controllers & Drivers" forumhttp://forum.avsim.net/topic/347944-pressing-and-holding-joystick-buttons-doesnt-create-continious-response/ So now each times i change something in the Controls settings the entries for EYEPOINT are being deleted in FSX so i have to open the Standart.xml file and fix those entries manully.And it is quite frustrating. Besides the slider for the EYEPOINT stays on the high value in the Controls settings but it has no connection to the real value in the Standart.xml file. Another issue is that many times i change something in the Controls settings but those changes are not saved and so i need to change them again. Hope there is a sulotion to it.

Ok i figured it out finally.If someone wants to know how...this is what i found.I installed a new computer with win 7 64bit ,and on it i insalled both fs9 and fsx.The problem of the EyePoint (down ,up ,forward ,back ) moving using the joystick buttons appeared both in FS9 and FSX so i thought there is something that is beyond the simulators and it is related to the OS.So i checked the fs9 cfg file on my lap top - with Vista 32bit - where the joystick opertate the EyePoint just fine and saw that comparing to the fs9 installed with the win764bit there are differences.What was interesting that under the title of the joystick in FS9 - [JOYSTICK_MAIN {5D730F90-C542-11E0-8001-444553540000}]the values of BUTTON_DOWN_REPEAT where NEGATIVE like -1 BUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_03=EYEPOINT_BACKBUTTON_DOWN_REPEAT_03=-1 I dont why but probably it is an OS thing.So now all i had to do is fix those values to positive 3 and FS9 worked ok with the EyePoint moved by the joystick buttons. Now with this information i suspected that the same problem exists also in FSX .So after searching in Google i learned about the Standart.xml file and when i opened it again the same problem with negative values for the joystick under EyePoint entries.So i opened this file with notepad ..fixed the values to positive 3 copy and paste it to the original Standart.xml and... it worked . finally i can start fly like i was used to.

HiI still use the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick :-) and now after moving to a new computer ,when i press and hold the joystick buttons next to the POV hat , i dont get a continuous movement.I use this buttons to get upwards and downwards ,forward and backwards movement of the eye . So i have to press them again and again to get the movement i want even if in the controls assigment they are set to be in highest repetitive mode. Is it something with the computer ,the joystick or the OS win7 64. By the way it happens both in fs9 and fsx.

HiI want to buy a new screen to my new computer .I thought of buying Samsung SyncMaster BX2450 but i wander. Would it matter if i'll buy a TV monitor ( LED Full HD ) with a bigger size ? I mean would be able to see a bigger picture in FHD so why to insist on a screen spefically made for computers? Is it a wise thought?thanks.
