  1. Found the problem. FSX had allocated default joystick assignments without my knowledge when I installed my TQ6 throttle. These were interfering with the assignments made in FSUIPC. The solution? Delete the fsx assignments.
  2. Ok. So this problem does not occur using The Flight 1 MD80 and with either the CH Throttle or the Go Flight TQ6 Throttle.
  3. I also use CH Pedals and Yoke with the recent addition of a Go Flight TQ6 Trottle quadrant. I am just in the process of setting up the Super 80 to test that. I seems ok using the throttle on the Yoke but have not tried the Go Flight throttle yet.
  4. If I come to a stop during taxi and then advance the throttles there is no movement, I have to apply and release the parking brake to get going again. The parking brake lever is in the released position with the red light off, Any Ideas?
  5. I am having difficulty aligning the physical position of my goflight throttle handles with that set by the A/T. I see the cyan arc on the N1 gauge, but cannot reduce the arc length to zero and align it with the white mark. All that happens is that the power setting temporarily alters before the autothrottle assumes control again. The cyan arc stubbornly remains. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  6. Word Not Allowed Handle stability it good; There is no hint of the large throttle handles being loose in their holders. Haven't used differential thrust yet for taxiing but with individual throttles this is now possible. There are no projections which can snag when the handles pass each other. Calibration in windows is normal with full scale movement of the axes indicators. Make sure you have the latest driver however. gboz. The external appearance is substantially the same between the basic and adv versions. However internally they are very different. The basic version has connectors built in to accept the button wiring from the B737 GF-THR handles(see https://dl.dropbox.c...R_vPOH_v2_2.pdf) whereas the ADV version has these wires directly soldered to the PCB. This means that the basic unit is perhaps the one to get if you envisage modifying to control 4 engines. (If goflight produce the handles for a 747 for instance) The plastic sleeves covering the throttle handle shafts make contact with the sides of their slots which I found gave rise to a slight jerky movement. The application of a silicone spray makes the movement nice and smooth. dukebe60 I agree that the unit is a little lightweight and unbalanced but bear in mind that it is designed to be fitted into a cockpit housing. There are no clamps to fit to a desktop but Goflight supply 2 heavy duty velcro strips which do a good job of fixing it to any surface without screws. Merry Christmas Les
  7. OK. Have now received it after 3 weeks. 1) Beware of additional charge of 20% VAT and clearance charge of £8 when importing into UK. 2) Minor problem with packing. The plastic bag containing screws etc was split resulting in temporary loss of a small screw which was later found inside main unit where it had lodged. 3) Reverser switch on throttle 2 inoperative. After reassembling it is now OK. Possibly due to fine break where wire is soldered to PCB. 4) I would suggest using FSUIPC to assign buttons and axes. I had a problem getting the buttons to work using the supplied user interface. 5) Go Flight website is undergoing reorganisation so finding the supporting files is a little chaotic. 6) There is an excellent pdf explaining how to configure the unit for use with the PMDG 737-NGX using FSUIPC 7) The supplied detent strip for the flap positions is not fit for purpose. I think it was made for the 747 as it has 6 detents not 9! I spent a few days designing and making one which works just fine. see http://goflight.vani...-tq6-adv#latest Hopefully Go Flight will correct this and issue the proper one to all purchasers to date. 8) There is no provision on the PCB for additional wiring. There is no obvious upgrade route to utilise the 2 unused slots for 4 engine jets. Don't think about getting 2 additional throttle handles as there is not sufficient room to fit them. 9) The support is excellent; All my queries were replied to within 24 hours. I'll leave you to assess whether the price is worth paying. Keep the brown down and the blue up! Les
  8. Hi. After reading http://www.avsim.com...48/goflight.htm I have also decided to go for it. I realise that this review is for the TQ6 rather than the TQ6-ADV but it nevertheless gives me a bit of confidence in the expected quality. Les
  9. Hi If you have FSUIPC paid for version you can set up different profiles for different types of aircraft using the same hardware. BTW I am thinking of buying the Go Flight trottle quadrant for Christmas and have not seen any reviews of it. What is your impression? Les
  10. With Autopilot A or B engaged, and then releasing the guard and moving the stab trim autopilot switch to the cut out position fails to disengage the autopilot. However the autopilot is disengaged when restoring the switch to the normal position. I have a suspicion that this is to prevent the switch being left in the cutout position. Can anyone confirm that this switch is supposed to operate in this way? Les
  11. Hi I registered a couple of years ago with the user name of 'Les A'. Unfortunately my email address with tiscali expired and I also forgot my password. The forgotten password routine has probably sent the new one to my old address so it never arrived.I have re-registered using my btinternet.com email address with the user name of LesA (no space this time).I have not made any new posts yet but would like to retrieve those made under my old registration. Can you help?ThanksLeslie Appleton
