If I may 'stick my oar in' as they say...? I purchased MSFS2020 TaiModels EGCC in March 2024 so I've had a few updates from TaiModels [we're now on v.1.7.0] and a few 'real world' and 'virtual' flights into and out of what was literally my 'home' airport for nearly five decades. It's Ok but... Unfortunately, for any prospective buyers of the 2020 version I'd say please hold on to your virtual wallets and take a look at other alternatives. Sadly, after communicating with TaiModels Developer throughout May 2025 with screenshots and observations, there are still many 'default' buildings sitting on top and embedded into the TaiModels addon as we speak. The A538 runway 'underpass' does look particularly bad. However, TaiModels did fix a stray default building sat on top of the 'I Love MCR' feature near Gates 49 -> 53 and a bump at the Rwy. 05L end... I hope this appears as I intended - a polite 'review' and not a poke in the eye at TaiModels. Dave.

Tom, Please accept a 'virtual' hug from me and please do keep fighting the bully of an illness you're facing. Warmest regards, Dave.

Tileproxy vs. SBuilder
Hi Loyd,Thanks for the guidance, and thanks to you and the forum here, I managed to get TP started and configured so I'm currently seeing the results. I have to say I'm mighty impressed! You were quite right saying SBuilder is ideal for relatively small areas and gives good enough resolution for most of us...I still have to learn how to tweak the TP config details so I get the best from the available data and also my own setup.I appreciate the offer of more help too Loyd - I may just need to drop you an E Mail or three at some time when I get brain freeze :oOne crazy question - Will I always have to run TP to see the scenery it has already downloaded / processed and compiled, or can I 'choose' and 'use' the scenery from a specific area just by setting up the scenery and textures for FSX somehow? Hope this makes sense.Dave.

Tileproxy vs. SBuilder
Hi Loyd,I appreciate you taking a step back and making a good judgement based on what really matters - our Simming habits! As you say, the temptation when using a very useful tool such as TP is to get carried away, then forget the kind of FSX flying we actually enjoy day to day. I need to ponder a bit more and try to find the motivation to get past Window 7's aggressive behaviour toward TileProxy's driver and actually get TP running! Ah well. If I get over this hurdle and configure it right, I'll certainly give it a go.Thanks again for the reply.Dave.

Tileproxy vs. SBuilder
Hello folks,Could I ask, how do the resolution of ground images processed by Tileproxy and SBuilder X compare?I've been used to using SBuilder so I'm a bit hesitant to try and setup, configure and learn how to use Tileproxy if the results in FSX are comparable. Thanks in advance
