February 21Feb 21 Appreciate recommendations as to the best add on scenery version for MSFS 2020 of Manchester airport.
February 21Feb 21 https://maccosim.com/products/egcc-manchester-airport iniBuilds do one too, but i am not sure it that is msfs2024 only. MSI Z790i Edge | i7-14700K | EK 360AIO | 32GB DDR5 6400mhz | nVidia RTX5080 | Acer Predator 34"
February 21Feb 21 Aether Simulations are developing EGCC Manchester, but I have not seen an update for some time. This will apparently be compatible with MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. The IniBuilds version is MSFS 2024 only. February 21Feb 21 I use the Taimodels one in FS2024 now but the Maccosim version for FS2020 was fine for me. The taimodels version also works in FS2020. February 22Feb 22 The Maccosim was good in its day, but hasn't been updated for ages, and the Inibuilds is more up to date with the extensions to Terminal 2. Edited February 22Feb 22 by Petraeus Petraeus
February 22Feb 22 As Petraues said: The Maccosim has an outdated layout. The changes on the Apron are significant. So INIBuilds is the way to go.
February 22Feb 22 On the subject of Manchester, I am really surprised that ASOBO did not include it in a city update as it is a more major city than a number of the other cities that have been done. There are a few freware addons and Samscene have done a fairly decent job of the main buildings though if you want to see something that looks a little bit more like Manchester should look.. I live 10 miles south of Manchester and to be honest I don’t think there are enough interesting buildings to justify it. Liverpool would be more deserving having been a former City of Culture. The waterfront is especially praiseworthy. Ray (Cheshire, England). February 23Feb 23 lets argue with chatgpt: For Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 (MSFS 2024), if you’re looking for the best third-party EGCC (Manchester) airport scenery, the consensus in the community right now is: 🥇 Premium Choice — Native MSFS 2024 Addon iniBuilds Manchester Airport (EGCC) – This is currently the most up-to-date, fully native MSFS 2024 version, built specifically for the new sim using the latest SDK and with support from Manchester Airport Group (MAG). It has detailed terminals, real layouts, high-quality ground textures, updated lighting, and an official GSX profile. Pros: ✔ Built for MSFS 2024 natively ✔ Accurate, real-world current layout ✔ Strong visuals & performance optimisations ✔ Good lighting and ground detail Cons: – Payware (not free) (Best if you want the most accurate and polished MSFS 2024 experience.) 🥈 Alternative Payware Macco Simulations EGCC – A solid alternative that supports MSFS 2024 as well (some versions still bridged from MSFS 2020 but recent updates cover 2024). It’s widely used and has a lot of add-ons (like GSX profiles and fixes) from the community. Pros: ✔ Often cheaper than some premium payware ✔ Lots of community support & profiles Cons: – Might be less modern/less polished than the new iniBuilds version AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler. 60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking. very nice.
