Ed, thanks for your patience working with me on this. After telling ProAtc/X to load the flight plan to P3D ATC knows the plan but there is nothing in the flight log when you pull it up. I'm not sure how it works, but unless you enter the same plan into the GPS there is no flight plan source. So that's why I'm trying to get the plan loaded in the 530. Otherwise ATC has the plan but I have nothing on the moving map for reference.

Not sure I understand. ProAtc/X doesn't automatically load the flight plan into the GPS. That's why I was trying to build a flight plan in the 530 to match what was loaded into Prepar3D from ProAtc/X. So ProAtc/X loads a plan into Prepar3D only and nothing to the GPS.

ProAtc/X is software that provides a more realistic ATC interaction. The flight plan is created in ProAtc/X and inserted into Prepar3D. I then go into the GNS 530 to enter a matching flight plan.

Yes, I'm using FSUIPC. OK, I downloaded and installed the latest version. Without ProAtc/X there is a delay entering the first waypoint in the flight plan of about 2 minutes before it's recognized. If you press enter the waypoint is not entered in the plan. If you wait the 2 minutes the waypoint is recognized and you can hit enter. As you enter the waypoint the first three characters register changes in possible waypoint location but starting with the fourth character is when the delay begins. This delay is there for the first two waypoints. It goes away for the third and successive waypoints. With a ProAtc/X flight plan activated the delay is about double but when you hit enter for the waypoint Prepar3Dv3 crashes.

I'm using Navigraph navaid data with ProAtc/X when P3D crashes while making flight plan entries on the 530. If I don't use ProAtc/X the 530 will hang until airborn while making flight plan entries but does not cause P3D to crash. Eventually the 530 finds the waypoint and all is well.

I have pretty much the same situation. I have to move the yoke 1-2" to the left before the sim registers left aileron and about 1" back before the sim registers a elevator pitch up. This is a new piece of hardware and I really don't want to open it up if the fix is software related. I've tried calibration in both FSX and FSUIPC with null zones set to zero. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Mike Can you explain a bit more on what you mean when you say "I moved the spot where the gears meet"? How was this done? Hope someone can help me out. I'm running FSX with SP2 on a Windows 7 machine with five monitors configured as follows: GTX 660 graphics card monitor 1 dvi 1920x1080x32 monitor 2 dvi 1920x1080x32 monitor 3 vga/dvi 1920x1080x32 GT 520 graphics card monitor 4 vga 1024x768x32 monitor 5 hdmi 1920x1080x32 My problem is any time I undock a window and move it to monitor 4 FSX crashes to the desktop. I can move undocked windows to any of the other monitors just fine. I can also move an undocked window to monitor 4 in P3D and it works. In FSX if I try to go full screen with ALT-Enter I get a crash to desktop. Monitor 4 is set to 1024x768x32 in Windows resolution and in FSX settings. Think I got this fixed. Had to do with where Carenado installed components of the Phenom. Moved files to proper location and seems to be working.

Trying to help a friend with his Phenom which comes up with dark displays and a message saying only one engine is running. There is radio traffic but cockpit is dark. I had him try shift+6 to set for ready to taxi but he said that didn't work. I did a reinstall by deleting the Phenom in Windows programs and reinstalling. No luck, same result. Any suggestions? Do I need to delete and reinstall using a different procedure? Thanks Mike

I cloned my HDD with FSX to a new SSD. When I booted from the SSD everything seemed to work fine except FSX. Even P3D worked fine. FSX would put up the splash screen and then say that an error had occurred and stop. The event log didn't help much as no specific module was identified. I followed the recommendations in the CTD Guide and renamed my fsx.cfg. FSX launched and I could run the stock aircraft and a few I had installed. However, planes from Caranado, A2A, etc caused crashes. I have quite a bit of add on software and tweaks in my cfg. So now I've gotta figure out why my cfg won't run. Anyone have any idea why a cloned drive would have a problem like this? Thanks

Not to worry... you didn't get my dander up about GTX260. When I ran the GeForce scan of my system from their website that was the recommended driver. I had not made the other changes you recommended so I have no idea why what I did made it work either. I will continue to investigate and look at trying your suggestions and the shader fix. Progress.... I noticed in the [Graphics] section of the fsx.cfg that D3D10=0. Jim, I really appreciate your attempt to help me with this! I've double checked the GeForce forums and the 314.22 driver DOES support GTX260. Documentation says performance is improved for 400,500,600 series. Regardless, I DID go back and try the old drivers that I originally had and I still get the error at FSX startup. When I said I deleted FSX.CFG and let it rebuild FSX did not start that time either so the CFG was incomplete. I do have both the GTX260 and GT520 cards. I have three wide screen monitors and one smaller screen. I've tried telling NVIDIA to use only one screen and I still get the error at FSX startup. Everything had worked fine with multiple monitors for quite a while. I came home from vacation and everything was messed up. I tried your suggestion of removing all display devices such as [DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 .3] from fsx.cfg and tried running again. FSX failed to start and the fsx.cfg did not identify any monitors. There were no display device entries. I also have Prepar3D installed so I tried to run it and got the same startup error referencing nvwgf2um.dll. So I agree it's not a problem with FSX. Something that might help. My research of nvwgf2um.dll references it as being part of the NVIDIA D3D10 drivers. I'm not exactly sure what that means. I'm guessing it has something to do with DirectX 10 possibly. Using that as a hypothisis, I decided to uninstall FSX SP2. I did that and tried to run FSX. It did not crash at startup. It launched, but did not display a graphic of the aircraft in the free flight setup. When I tried to launch a flight it just hung. However, it did get past the startup problem. I reinstalled the SP2 and I still get the startup error with FSX referencing the dll. So the DLL appears to be the culprit. When I search my computer for nvwgf2um.dll I don't find it anywhere. It's supposed to be in Windows\System32. Not there. So I'm still searching for an answer. Beginning to think I will have to drop all the way back to a reinstall of Windows. I've got a ton of add-on software so I don't look forward to that. Any other ideas? Thanks mm

I'm running Windows 7, FSX Deluxe with SP2, and getting a fatal error trying to run FSX.
