  1. Arwen,it looks like the product we initially tested in the beta will also be the one (more or less) which will be released on 29FEB. From my experience during testing, the product was pretty much bug-free. Now you are referring to the lot of feature requests that have been voted throughout the beta but they are not really "bugs"...
  2. simply, because their "product" is not established on the marked a.t.m. MS Flight will for sure not be the starting platform for the Kinetic launch for PC.
  3. This should be a win-win situation in the end. People buy Track IR because of the game but also a game can be bought because of Track IR support. In my personal case, I would never support any sim game without TrackIR support anymore...
  4. as long as MS is not offering something similar, they will be better off implementing support for it... I'm pretty sure there will be no dedicated "deal" between MS and TrackIR
  5. From what I've read on the TrackIR forum, it is up to MS to implement support for TrackIR. It has nothing to do with an SDK being available for a game that shall be supported. TrackIR provides a simple API that needs to be implemented by the game vendors. In my opinion MS would be pretty ignorant in case they don't plan to support TrackIR.
  6. not funny if you actually are german. Muting sound helps a little :(
  7. The problem is that some things in FSX seem to be hard to get around without actually having the source code available. For example I have yet to see a useful ATC add-on....
  8. I don't think anyone cares at MS. The Flight Program Management probably knew that this was going to happen. The fact that Flight is developed the way it is just reveals that there is no one left in upper game development management who feels responsible for the Flight Simulation tradition at MS anymore.
  9. I assume Flight became what it is because of a very tight development budget. The limited scenery is a key indicator for this, they wanted to do things right but could only concentrate on a very small area with the given budget.I however expect the MS DLC philosophy to fail and they will soon include the known 3rd party developers into the whole concept. Either this or they let the whole product die completely. From what I have read in some other forums / threads is also that the majority of developers involved int he project have been contractors and were no fixed MS employees. A company who has future plans for a product (family) would probably not rely on external personal to that extend....
  10. Hello,I also occasionally had some connectivity problems with that PS/2 cable with my X52 Pro. It always required a really straight mechanical connection in order to work. Looked like the connector side inside the stick is not fitting well with the cable. My personal suggestion at the moment (be careful: honeymoon phase :D) is to exchange it for a Thrustmaster Warthog, which is so much better in all aspects.cheersDennis
  11. Hello,as this is my first post here on this forum, a short introduction to myself (well, a very short one): I'm rather new to the whole flight sim stuff but not very new to the industry. I work as an engineer for the largest european aerospace company and am heavily involved in the development of the latest military transport aircraft at the moment. Regarding flight sim, I am mainly interested in mid complexity aircraft, more in systems than in flight dynamics.Today I have received my latest gear-addition, the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS. I have a Saitek X52 Pro and a Saitek Yoke sitting next to it but my personal thought is that they will end up on the bay very soon :)Does anyone already have some experience to share about this system? Maybe some presets (mainly for FSX)?best regardsDooderino
