  1. This certainly wasn't meant as a hijack, although in hindsight it may look like one a bit. I just wanted to offer the people flying to EGCC/EIDW a nice departure airfield close-by that would be fully staffed with ATC, since the departure airport was up to the pilots themselves.
  2. Correct. It automatically loads the most recent cycle for EHAM, which is useful to prevent outdated cycles and broken links.
  3. That would be great! From EHAM to EGCC or EIDW, or the other way around, is the perfect distance for a nice short flight.Suggested routes to/from EHAM: EHAM - EGCC: BERGI UL602 SUPUR UL60 KOLAG UL60 OTBED / Even FL from 260 - 400 / Distance: 263 nmEGCC - EHAM: DESIG UL603 LAMSO / Odd FL from 270 - 410 / Distance: 263 nm EHAM - EIDW: BERGI UL602 SUPUR UL60 OTBED UL26 PENIL UL70 BAGSO / Even FL 260 - 400 / Distance: 405 nmEIDW - EHAM: LIFFY UL975 WAL UM16 DOLAS UL603 LAMSO / Odd FL from 290 - 410 / Distance: 405 nm Updated and current charts for EHAM can be found here. 4. Also, if you would like to practice some approaches in your brand new (or any for that matter) 737 NGX, you are more than welcome at Schiphol Airport (EHAM). Expect busy skies with go-arounds, cirlcing approaches and anything you can throw at our top-notch controllers. It'll be fun, so come and join us this evening (1730 - 2030 UTC) !
  5. It depends. If you already have multiple partitions it should be easy. I had XP installed first and then installed Win7 on the second partition and it created a boot menu automatically. When you need to add a second partition to the current drive you might want to look at some drive partitioning software like PartitionMagic.
  6. As a matter of fact, I have that very setup at the moment. First partition of 250GB drive for Windows XP and last partition for Win7 64, works excellent.
  7. To the last part of OP's post: The chart says minimums of 386 feet for RNP 1 KDCA. If I'm correct that means you have to hand fly it from there to the RWY. Which is also depicted by the solid line from MRION via OXONN ending at minimums and transitioning to Missed Approach. i.e. the automated part stops there
  8. My system is 3.5-4 years old, except for the graphics card, which i had to replace 0.5 years ago since my old 8800gts died. Core2Duo 2.7Ghz (o/c from 1.6)4 GB MemoryGeForce GT220 I recently installed a fresh Win7 64bit on a not so fast HDD (old 250 GB).I tweaked FSX with the introduction guide and installed REX, UTX, GEX and get 12-20 fps in the PMDG NGX (external locker at 20 fps, with same scenery settings as in the intro guide). Which is actually quite well fly-able and looks nice too.Haven't had any memory issues (yet! :)) with th 64 bit win7, even when sometimes my task manager shows 0 MB free RAM. FSX still goes on.In the tutorial flight from EGKK - EHAM i installed the relevant part of NL2000v4 scenery and it was nicely loaded when i got to the coast, no issues! My advice thus to people with comparable older systems is to install win7 64bit, tweak fsx using the introduction guide and use external frame rate limiter and it could very well be enough to run the NGX!
  9. I had the same thing happen with the RNP 19 KDCA. In fact it seemed i still had a screen showing the very thing: Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  10. Thanks! I figured it was cause the mentioned cfg optimization url also mentions HIGH instead of HI
  11. Does it matter that in the Introduction pdf it says HIMEMFIX and on other parts of the forum HIGHMEMFIX?
  12. Correct Although I believe its a bit lower than that actually.
  13. Nice video so far. Since you would like to be corrected: at 13:29, it is the Costa 1 Romeo instead of Costa 1 right and at 16:10: I know you're not going to cruise but since EGKK - EHRD is eastbound should be odd
  14. Ok you just sold yourself a copy of the training series, well done!
