  1. Well I finally got it working I had to boot up in safe mode which is not that easy to get to like it used to be.
  2. Now that I have this in the correct forum I will try again. I am having issues reinstalling the PMDG B737 600/700 I had this running before but I had to refresh windows and had to reinstall it. I keep getting the message skipping Lucon.ttf Font and then the installer hangs up and goes in space and I have to stop it. I am using Windows 8 64 bit and I have posted a ticket at pmdg about this issue as well. But I figured it could not hurt to ask here. So far I have disabled Norton and still no luck I have searched my system and can not find this font any place so I am not sure why it is skipping it. It is probably one of those things that stare you in the face but yet you somehow miss it. I have had no luck in getting Windows 8 to start in Safe mode not sure why that is happening might have something to do with the fact I have a wireless keyboard. Any help would be appreciated I wil let you know what PMDG has to say about this.
  3. Sorry about that That is what happens when you do not pay attention
  4. As I stated in my post I have submitted a ticket and by the way this is the FS2009 version not the one for FSX.
  5. I recently had to reinstall the PMDG B737-600/700 addon nad now it will not reinstall I keep getting a skipping a font message and it than hangs up. Now mind you I had this on my system and it ran with no problems. I am using Windows 8 64 bit I have tried turning off Norton with no luck and to my knowledge Windows 8 does not have a safe mode. I have submitted a ticket on this issue but figured I would see if any one else had run into the same problem. Thanks in advance Gary M Buska
  6. I also agrre David was a one in a million kind of guy. I hope he has clear skies.
  7. Check what you have running in the back ground. Every system have there own programs that are unique to it. A example is a DELL system might have programs running in the background that say a HP system would not have. Even diferent video card can make a minor differance. The other things could be the amount and type of traffic you have. By that if you are using aircraft that are not designed for AI it can slow your system down. Aircraft like the defaul B737-400 and if you are using payware aircraft as AI that will cause a major slow down. As a rule of thumb the more detailed the aircraft the more it will effect your frame rates when you use it.
  8. All of this looks great but I have to admit having a airline based in Austraila means a lot of long flights which could limt the number of pilots who would sign up. I my self do not mind a long flight every now and then but anything over four hours is just to boring. I have belonged to several VA,S and wound up leaving because of all the crazzy restrictions they put on you. Some make you pick a hub to fly out of. Some limit the type of aircraft you can fly. And some even make you take a complicated exam just to be able to fly say a B747 series aircraft. All I want to do is to be able to fly anything anywhere with out all the fuss is that to much to ask for.
  9. You need to use AFCAD and adjust the hold short for the runway KJAX is my home airport an I have no problems with it.But I did have to alter the hold shorts. What happens is the AI aircraft is not recognized by the tower at being at the hold short because there is no hold short or the hold short can not be gotten to by the aircraft. If you notice when taxing to the runway you mention (13) you will never get the option to request for takeoff.
