Is it really as good as people say? Could he give me an increase in fps with my setup?

Okay so I'm at EGLL using UK2000 extreme scenery for FSX. I have an i7 2600k @ 4.1Ghz, and im getting about 11fps? What the hell?! How is this possible with my setup? I use a 580GTX, 2 TB hard drive, 8GB RAM.Someone help please. I'm thinking about using the FS-GS service.

At idle my temps are about 30-31. Running prime they are in the 70s. And I custom bought a Thermaltake CL-P0466 when I built my PC. I didn't have enough for a watercooler and quite frankly I was intimidated to buy one.

So I have an i7 2600k and I'm running it at 4Ghz but when I run prime95 it seems to reach around 71C and I can't understand why the temps get so high for an Intel i7 only clocked at 4Ghz so my question is that if you increase the core voltage will it drop the temperatures? Right now my core voltage is 1.092V. Thanks.

I have a 580GTX and just started using the 8xSQ version and its great, I have smooth edges on my aircraft which I wanted however when I pan around my aircraft and cockpit I will get these split second black flickers which obviously means its loading my texture but its rather annoying and there is a pic below of me taking off from Ibiza and basically it was flickering like crazy, black flickers all over the airport and I don't know why. I can't tell if its my hdtv thats making it do this because I've had shimmering problems with fsx already before with the refresh rate.

Okay so yesterday I put up a thread asking about smoother edges on aircraft and I was told about the nvidiainspector thread over at the PMDG forums. So I checked it out and hey, it worked. I used the top settings which i think was 8xSQ because he stated that if you have a modern card then it should be able to handle it. Well I have an nvidia 580gtx and I've noticed that even though I have smooth edges now, whenever i pan around my aircraft or cockpit, and even in the image below, i will get these split second black images come up on my screen where it seems to be loading the texture. this didn't happen before I did this inspector tool, so do you think I should go to the settings below 8xSQ or is there something else because these black flickers get rather annoying. And the image below is me taking off at Ibiza and when I reached around 1000ft the whole airport kept flickering like crazy! You can't really see the flickering in the screenshot but you can see the black spots around which indicates it was flickering. Anybody know this problem and can help out. thank you very much.

flyerboy I have to thank you a lot for telling me about that. it seems the issue has gone now and I can actually see how great my 580 is now :)

I just checked out the PMDG thread and used his 8xSQ settings so I'll load up FS now and see what happens. -EDIT- What does he mean when he shows the two pictures andhe says Trilleaner filtering (not AF) and 16x ( AF )Should I have Trilinear enabled in FSX with AA off?

This may seem like a dumb question but its worth a try. I have an nvidia 580GTX graphics card worth around $500-600, currently the second in line at Nvidia behind the 590 and I do still get slightly rough edges when panning around my aircraft and I was wondering if there was anyway you can get rid or smoothen the look out. Here is what I am talking about, this is an image I took from my sim. And here is an image I found on a forum from someone using a 480GTX So what gives? He has no ragged edges yet I do and have the better G-card. Here's a pic I took earlier, not a bad one but I'm taking it at an angle, not straight on like the other two pictures.

Well I just checked my updates and it says there is an update for framework so you think thats the problem?

So I get this error that pops up every 15 mins and normally I click ignore. FS runs fine normally but it just made my PMDG 747 crash. However I can't tell if its to do with ENB Series that made my pmdg crash. But here is an image of the pop up I am talking about.

This problem has just occurred and for some reason I get patches of darker colours in oceans.It shows almost perfect edges which is obviously unusual. There is a pic below, I do not get this problem when looking behind the aircraft, only in front. I use REX Sparkling effect for my waters and would like to know if anybody knows why this happens. I was wondering if anybody had a preference between the ENB Series FSX mod or the Shade product from flightsim store. I am currently using ENB and even though it does seem to add a lot of realism, I cannot seem to get the settings I think are right and as a result I will get too dark or too light. So I am thinking about buying Shade. Many thanks in advance.

Hi guys,I finally just got my new desktop and after hours of addons being uploaded I was finally on the runway for a flight and well it all went smoothly, until after about 3 mins into flight when I changed from full screen mode to windows view and the screen just went black, all I could hear was the sounds but nothing else.Anybody have solutions to this? Thanks a lot.

I tried the set defaults but that didn't end up working. There might be some hope though because I just went into my BIOS and checked to make sure the ports were recognized with my hard drive and they were but i turned on the raid which wasn't enabled and the computer came with RAID-0 extreme performance and i have seen in some related topics that after an update you should turn raid back on, now instead of a missing operating system, that never came up but i'm having a recovery screen come on saying 'recovering orphaned files' etc and the good news is that before all this the windows7 logo appeared like it would normally. Fingers crossed!
