Two Questions About Real World Ops
You guys use performance manuals still? I think I used them years ago when I was flying PA31's.....no wait...we used a Whizwheel. On my entry level jets we used UltraNav; a computer based performance calculator. The last corporate jet I flew was a Lear 45, same thing; UltraNav but with the addition of APG. Interesting tool that APG.

PMDG 737 NGX on an iMac
I would use the iMac and not a MacBook Pro.I Mac Pro like I have would be the way to go but then you are going to have to buy displays. I can tell you though that 27" LED displays look F'in awesome!!

30SEP11: More SP1 & 600/700 Schedule Changes...
Pilots, While I do agree with some of what the poster has commented on, I do not agree with some of it. PMDG is a company. Traditionally, and correct me if I am wrong here; companies are in business for 1 thing and 1 thing only...to make money! PMDG does an over the top, out of this world, cutting edge job on their aircraft, especially this NGX. The NGX will now serve as the new benchmark in FSX aircraft. However, there is one thing that PMDG does VERY poorly and that is PR. A simple 2 line note on this forum would have sufficed. I fully understand the flexibility and fluidness of timelines as this is not my 1st trip to the rodeo but I also understand the need to communicate with my customers as that is why we, but in this case, they; are in business. Without us, there would be no people to buy their fabulous products; hence no PMDG. Lets face it, they make an incredible product; no one can fault them for that. They really need to improve on the customer communication piece though. Enjoy you weekend everyone.

Release time of 7:37pm PDT?
PMDG is famous for this kind of stuff. Look at the Facebook page for the subtle little hints they are throwing at us. How that I think about it, 7:37pm on the East Coast would be even more interesting because then it give the people in Europe time to buy before they go to bed

For those of your posting about the release...
FRIGGIN relax!!! This program has been two years in development and will be released when it is released. RHR stated that it would be 7-10 days. If my math is correct, we are at day 7 so technically there are still 3 more days within this window that it could be released. It does NO good to post topics such as: Hey guys its not going to be todayIts today, not its not, YES it isTodays the dayIm ReadyThe World is Ready I am sure that some of the posts have been started to simply generate views on the posters topic. But really? What good does it do?We are all excited and eagerly awaiting a new plane for the barn. I get it but everyone just needs to chill. It will happen when it happens and we were all told that we would be give more that enough notice about this release. Remember the famous line in RHR's post? This won't be a surprise release. CNK235
