  1. Hello,Answer to your poll: No I did not.I will wait and see what happens, there is nothing there to me right now. I really hope they plan to let other developers in. For example: I don´t mind buy an PMDG NGX through MS LIVE! using Microsoft Points or my favorite scenery from my favorite publisher through MS LIVE! But, if the business scheme continues as it is, it will be very difficult to see complex stuff like the NGX or the J41 (which keeps blowing the engine unless you operate it correcly) built for FLIGHT. And that is what interests me. And NO, I am not saying MS team is not capable of build an NGX like aircraft, it is just to overkill for the majority of casual players. But if MS let the developers in (just like an Apple Store or Android Market), we gonna start to really see different kinds of products with different target audiences based the same sim. Everybody wins and the sim turns like a LEGO that can build both casual and hardcore experience.I read several AVSIM posts about FLIGHT being the entry door for new simmers, and that MS is like testing the market interest. FLIGHT could be right now the best for both worlds...Regards,
  2. That is exactly why I think they need to let the 3rd developers in. Make some kind of "Apple Store" (Flight Store) , by all means profit from it, but let them in! Centralize the market over the engine. And why not allow free apps just like apple store, charge yearly just like apple. Ok the number of freeware developers will be less if compared to FSX, but in my opinion it would be a middle ground. What a dream to see something like the NGX or a new J41 in FLIGHT. What a dream to see my city. I don´t mind pay them(MS) or third-party for a quality product.
  3. Interesting… Lets see what happens. If they offer me an unlock key to all features for an price compatible to FSX, and a real possibility to, maybe, in the future be able to buy sceneries (high quality) and an airline like my PMDG 737 NGX (don’t mind to pay for quality), no problem. But let the developers in.. and if the current ones don´t want in for any reason, I think that others will. Imagine: FLIGHT STORE and FLIGHT DEV CENTER with proper support for the developers… cooperation with real aircraft companies, feeds for costumers to follow developers… Flight lessons with Angle of Attack quality (let them in too!) ... Convert those that like avition on simmers or maybe pilots in the future! Why can´t we all be friends? LOL Ok I know, I am dreaming! :)But right now, the way things are… when available, I will download FLIGHT just out of curiosity. Anyways:I don´t wish bad to anyone or the FLIGHT team, and I imagine that they as human beings that have taxes to pay, monthly bills, maybe families to raise are of course trying their best and have their vision.Unfortunately their vision backed up on the general public interest in FLIGHT is naive… But it is their decision. IMHO Flight will not fly.Regards.
  4. Ok,So why not let the current developers step in?Microsoft could keep the idea to offer the base sim for free and welcome third party developers (upon SDK licensing, paid or free) to offer their products as DLC at some kind of central "Microsoft Flight Network Store". The offered content could be free or paid, in which case Microsoft would keep a percentage per sell. This way they could earn continuous revenue and please a broader audience.Planes, scenery, utilities... even Vatsim or IVAO could be included as an "APP" (in case of a network like vatsim would be more an APP gateway).Developers could keep developing for hardcore simmers and ALSO (meaning new opportunities) creating new products for occasional players (new Flight missions) or even entry level mission tutorials aiming to convert occasional players into possible hardcore simmers. Current developers would also benefit from reaching a broader audience through Microsoft channels. New people could enter the hobby. There are a lot of ways to please hardcore simmers and newcomers using this centralization scheme. It is a way to increase community control and not to loose a big market for other promising simulators like X-Plane (great simulator by the way!).It will not matter market the "Flight" product to general audience... Non simmers in the past bought FS sometimes just to run it once or twice, just to fly a little bit and apreciate a little bit of scenery because they find aviation "beatiful"....These same people will buy a DLC once or twice tops and say "ohhh nice!!!!" - some hours later: "boring". Mission to get coins? What now? Is Flight the new "solitaire"?Do you have any idea on how many children and adults ask me somethings like: "so how do I kill other planes?" and then I have to explain what is the simulation all about?I think they (Microsoft) should speak to the simmer community because they have costumers here. I think they should try to really partner up with the stablished market, the trade: a new marvelous base engine. Regards,
  5. Oh I see... I just edited my post... with the "ALSO" I meant something like "explore new business opportunities" that may rise with the new Microsoft vision for flight.Anyways... I dont´t know! All I know is that I am a simmer since FS-4 and since the Internet and forums began all I see is the same mass hysteria every time a new version of Flight Simulator is announced. LOLLets see what happens! This drama looks like a soap opera.
  6. Agreed, that is why I was talking about other kinds of possible products. It is just an idea.
  7. Hello all,Just my two cents about all these topics:Microsoft could keep the idea to offer the base sim for free and welcome third party developers (upon SDK licensing, paid or free) to offer their products as DLC at some kind of central "Microsoft Flight Network Store". It is a way to increase community control and not to loose a big market for other promising simulators like X-Plane.I don´t see Flight or Microsoft really hurting developers... maybe distributors... But that is another subject.Regards,
  8. Hello! Thank you for all suggestions, and sorry, based on your replies, I clearly used the wrong words and expressed myself incorrectly: I "bounced" instead of "floated". To Rusty10: yes I landed with tail wind... You totally right, the airport (which is 8 km of my house, and I love this airport) would directed me to runway 29!! But I was just compelled to put the video that I did not even paid attention :( Now I saw that detail in the panel... *sigh*... Anyway, thank you!
  9. Friends at PMDG and forum users, First of all, to PMDG thank you for the great product which is a chance for a non-pilot like me to learn even more about the 737 operation and also to daydream a little about being an airlner pilot! Well, I have some navigation and general flight knowledge aquired during years of self-teaching (real life material and simulation specific), conversations with friends that work on the field of aviation, etc which allow me to do flight planning, fuel, navigation, etc. etc. That said, I am aware of all automatic and FMC capabilites of this airplane, but for approaches, I love to 98% of time hand fly it! Unfortunetely, most of the time, I am having some problems to flare the airplane properly: I always end up floating a little bit. It is not a big deal, but I would like to improve on that. If someone care to give me some tips I apprecite it! The following is a video of me doing an ILS approach on SBPA (C1 procedure) hand flying (and floating a little bit in the end LOL)... Thanks in advance!!!
  10. Hello, For most flights I only use the autopilot enroute. Takeoff , glide capture, landing, no A/T or AP! I am aware about real life procedures, ILS categories, etc that demand autopilot, I like to perform that aswell, but most of the time, I like to make the procedures “by hand”. I also love to test myself flying manually under extreme dark/low visibility situations (ENBSeries to make a real night!). With time I developed the calm to be able to do that. I love the ability of PMDG airplanes to maximize PFDs. Regards!
  11. Interesting... the screenshot shows as if the differential brakes were applied.... I wonder why.
  12. Being a software developer myself, I thought would be nice to describe all the steps that lead to a panel freeze on my system. Also, don´t be alarmed about the screenshot, it was taken when the panel froze (I use ENBSeries, so the effect was incredible: me, the crew and passengers were transported to another dimension LOL). Note that the problem occurs even with ENBSeries removed (but then we don´t see the light effect, the panel still freezes and the aircraft just continues to fly as other people already mentioned). Even with the twilightzone effect I still could hear the aircraft! Following the steps described below I always have a panel freeze. Sometimes, I don’t see the screenshot effect, the plane just continues to fly, and I don´t know what to say to my passengers (LOL). Also it is important to note: >>>>I HAVE NO ROUTE ON FMC<<<<<. I know this is a modern airliner, but I like to program the NAV RADIOS by myself most of the time. Ok, let’s go, first: 1. SYSTEM SPECS:AMD Phenon II X4 965 (No overclocks)ATI RADEON Sapphire HD 5850 (no Overclocks)Motherboard Asus Crosshair III ROGMemory 4GB Corsair DDR3Windows 7 64 Bits --- ALL PMDG RECOMMENDATIONS EXCEPT FOR TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD which is set to 1024. 2. Wait again for PMDG Initialization... 20 seconds.Bear with me now cause I lknow I am not exactly following the correct aircraft startup sequence procedure. I am not a real pilot AND It is been a while since I am away from simulation (more than 1 years), and I don´t remember everything (I need to study aircraft systems again). Lets go: 2.14. FMC - Connected external power, airconditioning, etc.2.15 .Turned on BAT.2.16.
