  1. I bought the Captain's package for the NGX and I am planning to buy the Captain's package for the 777 as well. I like the way AOA works, it's a nice way to learn.
  2. NICE! I'm looking forward to buy some more DVDs from them. But first I'll have to find time watching them. Have fun watching them (I am sure you will) Happy flying!
  3. Thank you Luke, I can always trust you! I'll put them in my iPad as well. (I feel old, forgot all about the electronic checklists, I blame it on that it was early morning) Happy flying! Alright thank you Alex, does British Airways (virtual) use real life documentation? Because that is what I am looking for... Happy flying!
  4. Hi fellow simmers, Sorry for the title, I know it's bad but I couldn't come up with anything better... Well, what I am asking for is, can anyone tell me where I can find the FCOM(s) for the 777 and/or other documents that can help me get going with learning in depth the 777 systems so that I am ready when the PMDG 777X is available? Youtube videos, trustworthy, are also appreciated. I will probably buy the Angle Of Attack 777 when it comes out as I am a fan of what they do, and I like supporting them but for now I would like some documentation. Is the whole Captain's package from PMDG the one and only way to go? It is, sorry for my language but, so damn expensive. It's like a GoFlight panel. It is money that I have but I fell that I could spend on something else. I thought this could not only be help for me but for other users, here on Avsim, looking for documentation for the 777. If this thread is in a wrong section, feel free to move it. Thank you, ps. If anyone have a real Boeing 777 checklist, from some company, I would love to get a link to that one as well
  5. Trust me it is going to happen, sooner or later. To all, I'm glad that you found the video interesting!
  6. Thank you for understanding Yes, it's an amazing feature. I do wonder if that could be implanted on the 777X, but I doubt it, let us not speculate more on that. That is not why I started this topic Regards,
  7. Hi Luke, I don't want to start a discussion about AOA now. Can also anyone accompany their reading of a manual with a video with a good graphical interface explaining with pictures what they are talking about? (That was a retorical question but you see my point right?) we have different views on AOA but I find it convenient to use their videos instead of reading the FCOM's Regards,
  8. I'll download this and put it on my Spotify playlist
  9. Are you claiming that you know everything about the 777? I might just give you a question or two when the 777 is out. But I have bought Angle Of Attack videos since the 747, and my trust lies at them, for now B) Regards,
  10. Well it's not like an Angle Of Attack video but they talk a lot about the ways to communicate with the ATC while they are over the south Pacific. They also gives you a full overview over the TCAS, the EFB, the WXR, but most of the things you can learn by just watching them work. I have the Air Austral 777-200/300 dvd as well, then this dvd is way better when it comes to the things you learn watching it! But if you are looking to learn all about the 777, I suggest, waiting a bit, then getting the Angle of Attack videos ^_^ EDIT: And I would like to point out that there is no time during the movie when you leave the flight deck to watch the flight attendants preparing meals or something like that. The only time when you don't see the Captain and the F/O is when they are inside the crewbriefing.
  11. I recommend this DVD: Can be bought at this webiste: http://www.worldairr...rCanada772.html I got it a couple of days ago and I found time watching it this evening. Especially the Vancouver-Sydney flight is fantastic. A really good captain and F/O explaining a lot of the basics of the 777-200LR cockpit (including the EFB, and some digital ATC communication systems). I hope no one has posted this before, if so, then I sincerely apologize. Myself, I can't wait for the 777! I'm longing to fly some Trans-Atlantic flights on VATSIM in the cockpit of a 777. See you in the virtual skies and greetings from Sweden!
  12. http://thumbs.freewebs.com/Members/viewThumb.jsp?fileID=308703000&size=full Rick, could you please explain how, you mean, these levers would fit for a single quadrant? I can't see how that would work out? Or am I misunderstanding you? Regards
  13. @Goran Thank you very much for the site! I emailed the guy, asking when the single quadrant version would be available. Hopefully not to long, otherwise I'll buy the dual version. But thank you, they look great! @Vincent, alright, love to get some information from a person with personal experience! Thank you for sharing! I'm still open for other people suggesting other sites, in the US or Europe, Thank you!
  14. Hello, I was looking for a website that can supply me with custom levers to the Saitek Throttle Quadrant. The levers should look like a 737, but a 767, 747 or 777 is good enough. Just that they are modeled from a Boeing aircraft and not to old! Most pleasant would be if the factory is located in Europe or USA. But Europe is most preferable! But here is the important part, a bit important, and that is that the levers are adapted to fit 1, not 2, but 1 throttle quadrant. I could buy another quadrant but that would add another 50 dollars and shipping, so as I said the levers that are adapted to 1 quadrant would be preferable. I hope someone can answer this question, it would be much appreciated. If you have personal experience that is a +! Thanks in forehand
  15. Hi, I've had FS2Crew for some time know and I got a bit curious howthe interest is on the forum, to join me on multiplayer flights or offline (preferably VATSIM) as my captain on the NGX. I'm looking to expand my knowledge on the flows as a first officer, and it would be nice to have a captain, who could do the captain flows and in the meanwhile we could have live contact with each other through Skype. Some info: It's required that the person who thinks he is up for the job can follow the captain flows! Other than that, some information about me, I'm 16 years old, 17 in December (but I am mature, and serious, about this!). We will be flying in Sweden, as that is my home country. I would prefer someone with not a too "strong accent" so that I can understand your English. As you may have noticed my English isn't perfect but it is enough! If you are interested in this, please send me a personal message, respond to this topic, or add me on Skype, username: IsakKindgren. I hope someone is up for this. I think this can help us both, and of course we can switch roles, so that you are the f/o and I'm the captain! Hope to here from you! Virtual Norwegian Airlines, Senior First Officer, Isak Kindgren EDIT: FORGET IT, FORGOT THAT YOU CAN'T SHARE COCKPIT ON THE NGX YET (LOL), IT WAS A GOOD IDEA THOUGH!
