November 28, 201213 yr Hi fellow simmers, Sorry for the title, I know it's bad but I couldn't come up with anything better... Well, what I am asking for is, can anyone tell me where I can find the FCOM(s) for the 777 and/or other documents that can help me get going with learning in depth the 777 systems so that I am ready when the PMDG 777X is available? Youtube videos, trustworthy, are also appreciated. I will probably buy the Angle Of Attack 777 when it comes out as I am a fan of what they do, and I like supporting them but for now I would like some documentation. Is the whole Captain's package from PMDG the one and only way to go? It is, sorry for my language but, so damn expensive. It's like a GoFlight panel. It is money that I have but I fell that I could spend on something else. I thought this could not only be help for me but for other users, here on Avsim, looking for documentation for the 777. If this thread is in a wrong section, feel free to move it. Thank you, ps. I have the Emirates FCOM which I'm studying off too :-) Also - checklist would likely be pointless since the one in the 777 will likely vary. November 30, 201213 yr The documents are generally tailored to the operator. Although in my company we are returning to the Boeing way of doing things as it reduces the costs of altering the manuals. They are rather large and in PDF format, unfortunately, as they are company property, I couldn't post them on here but, if you have any questions, I would certainly be happy to answer them. Popping a copy over to a friend isn't a problem, distributing on a public forum is! Sorry. GregL :-)
December 3, 201213 yr I was able to obtain several complete manual sets online from a file called Boeing Books. I purchased the PMDG version of the B747 FCOM, but found that the version online was more recent! The formats of and information in the two are almost identical, except the PMDG version has a "Do not use for flight" warning on each page. Regardless, because they are so similar, I think the online version is quite accurate.
