  1. I've downloded the X plane EFIS-app for my ipad which does the job. :)
  2. Hes probably going to say bugger off & wait for your parcel!Would be useful if they ran a system that unlocked the demo on input of a serial or something though.Cheers for the reply. Ill send him my thoughts anyway.T
  3. Does anyone know if theres any way (apart from downloading a hookie copy) of turning off the 10 minute time out on X Plane? I've purchased a copy & am waiting for the full version to arrive. In the meantime I'd like to play around a little more with my new Carenado aircraft purchases in the Alps (modelled in the demo version) & get to grips with the general setup (Formerly Vatsimming FSX user). It says that it can take upto 4-6 weeks for the disks to arrive to the UK, & I want to get stuck in at least partially now! Thanks T
  4. The caravan on X-Plane please? One with an Oasis interior would be super nice!
  5. So, Having toiled with FSX running on Microsoft XP on a separate partition on my MacBook for a few years, experiencing poor performance & the inconvenience of having to boot in a different OS each time I wanted to play, I've decided to give X-Plane a try. My initial thoughts were - great out of the box sim, great speed in Mac OS X, lousy planes (especially as I've been flying Flight 1 Mustang on FSX). So, the only decent aircraft developers I can find are Carenado. So I've invested in their Saratoga. Great model, flight dynamics, blah blah.... However the Autopilot & GPS need binning. I generally fly in Vatsim, & like to fly 1-2 hour trips (usually in quicker planes). I usually pre-load my GPS with the desired flightplan & then fly either on the NAV or just using the GPS to steer the Autopilot. As the out of the box Garmin, which is used on the Carenado model does not allow for flightplans to be loaded, I've tried the EADT KLN 90B which works great on other planes, but doesn't function on the Saratoga. It loads & can be configured, however appears to not get a GPS signal, displaying "FLAG" on the screen. I guess that this is some compatibility issue with the Saratoga model, as it works with the other planes. So firstly, does anyone know of a GPS that supports flightplans & will work with the Saratoga, & secondly does anyone know if I can update the Autopilot to something thats a little more fully functioning? I like to fly ILS approaches, which is a no go with this model, nor simply setting a target altitude. Thanks T
