Need-To-Know

The enb setting I use brighten up everything. I almost exclusively...until recently... fly the 737ngx and have no problems with a dark cockpit. However in saying that I plan to tweak the settings around some to get a more dramatic effect. Mine is a little lacking.However I do not want to have the Depth of feild setting I have seen. That IMO seems annoying.Oh and btw - to turn aircraft shadows on without going to FSX settings and having it screw up what I already have added by hand it is simple. Add 1 to AIRCRAFT_SHADOWS=1 ...I should have known but was not sure.

Ok I bought it an was reading through the manual as you guys replied.Tons of thanks!Glad I do not have to enable ground objects or airplane shadows.I have worked a bunch on my fsx.cfg and if I go into FSX settings I have to rebuild it.If I just want to turn on shadows for my aircraft only (just to see the impact) what adjustment would you suggest in the config so I do not have to open the settings tab in FSX?Again guys thanks!

Vox looks like it uses Microsofts voices. I can not stand those.I still have not loaded the Meatwaterpacks but want to make time this weekend.I just wonder if I can change the colors of the window/fonts used by RC4 in the sim. The red ones in the box seem really small and hard to read.

Ok a little confused about Shade.So I guess shadows must be enabled to use Shade? And which ones? Are shadows a major frame rate killer?

I wonder what the verdict was on this. Demoule.....?I am going to get FScrew when they come out with the one for PMDG 737NGX. I also will be running the new AS2012, AES, Ultimate traffic2.I added my system specs to my sig. I believe my system can handle all of these...?

Thanks for the feedback. I will try the Meatwaters packs.I did look at the flightsim voices too.So since you have tried (or when you do try) both let me know witch you like best...if you get time.

Hey while looking around I found the Meatwater addon voice pack - but the files are from a few years ago.Just wondering if anything has changed or are they a good addition and worth the time?Not that I have any problems with current voices but people seem to have liked these alot back then.

I believe ESET does have some parental controls. Check out their site.I warn you good ol McAfee will not like being uninstalled. My 2 cents - McAfee and Norton (sorry but Norton is worst) are huge resource killers. I would recommend using an Antivirus that does not eat up your systems power.ESET seems very friendly to keep things running well. AVG is good but their pro edition is also a resource hog.Ehh take it or leave it. Just wanted to let you know because we started discussing this on the orbx forums too.

I just wanted to thank jd for his help and patience in getting me properly airborn again. I can be a little thick on all of this safe guarding stuff, but understand why you have to do it.Great product and support even after all this time.Cheers!

Hello Aviation Enthusiast! I apologize if this has been posted else ware - I did run a search before asking.I built a new computer for Xmas and I am getting back into FSX again (it has been a while).A year ago I purchased RC and downloaded it from Digital River. My old computer hard drive I downloaded it to has since died.I still have the receipts and all of the emails but Digital River no longer holds my download.I am out of luck or can I provide all of my purchase details and get back on board?
