  3. Scenery Config Editor location. Have W7 64 bit, C:/FS/Microsoft flight simulator FSX/Orbx FTX Global file folder, Program files, Program files(X86) folders. Where should the Scenery Configuration Editor v1.1.3 tool be installed ? John
  4. For about two years I have been struggling with FSX stoppages because of ntdll.dll/c0000005 errors. Despite various mods/tweaks the problem kept reappearing. Then I came across firehawk44 advice, post 22 December 2012, setting Virtual Memory to System Managed size instead of Auto. Now, fingers crossed, I have been flying for several weeks and the problem appears to be solved. So, thank you, firehawk44. Best regards, John Spec. 6. Is it imperative to install SP2 before installing other FSX addons. Also running Win7 64 bit. John
  7. You may remember me when in Jan/Feb I reported FSX crash ntdll.dll problems. Sorting these out was not very successful so decided to acquire a new PC, spec below. Pleased to inform the setup so far performing well. Running very quietly. Presently debating whether to install Nvidia Inspector and maybe overclocking. Thanks all who commented on my problems. Thanks Jim for the remarks. Yes, I have thought about overclocking in the future, but first need to learn about the procedure. Will the 850w and Zalman take the additional heat load ?Assume will now need to part from my old and faithful MS Sidewinder Precision 2. Any suggestion for a simple (no trigger) joystick.Best regards,John

Thanks all for reaction and hints re solutions. Before applying some of your ideas would like more clarification.firehawk44I should have mentioned that Event Viewer also stated : Exception code c0000005. So this is, as you said, a memory issue and not a possibility of corrupt/demaged ntddll.dll file. Not sure what I would gain by changing to 64 bit. Forums indicate that system also has FSX crashes. How can I check MS.net software is up to date and I have all the MSV`s from 2005 to 2010. Presently I have Microsoft.net Framework Client Profile 4 version 4.0.30319 +update KB 2446708. As regards MSV`s, 2005 Redistributables + update KB 973923, 2008 and 2010 + update KB2467173.jahmanAfter opening System Configuration, selecting Boot Tag, what is the next step ? Do I select Advanced Option where Max memory presently is shown as 4096 ?Once again thank you.
