Zoom (not how it used to be)
Hi guys. Running Windows 7. 64 Bit. 6GB RAM. Accu-Feel AMD Processor 2.6Ghz. I'm not getting the zoom levels i used to using the - and + keys. It zooms as far out as 0.30 but visually it doesnt bring me as far back into the seat on the virtual cockpit... if u know what i mean? Ive never come across this before... When i used to zoom out to the furthest on F10 it would zoom out so far the land would look kinda stretched. On F9 it would zoom out so far i would be way back in the seat.... But now the furthest zoom is now like how it used to be on 0.50 Got any ideas folks? Cheers.

FSX Starting to lag
WOW some very useful replies there! Im sorry i havent got back to u guys for so long been flat out working recently. @Brett, Word Not Allowed & Firehawk thanks so much for your help. Yes the Windows i have is 64Bit. So updating the BIOS would help right? I got prompted for video updates and i use the catalyst amd control centre which finds me the other updates. Other than these video drivers i just mentioned what other updates are critical for my hardware? I would like to update my BIOS yes.. Am i right this gets done via USB stick or CD? Yeah CCleaners amazing love that program and swear by it. Been using it for so many years now! Ill run a reg cleaner now on it too. Thanks again guys Just to update u. Ran those fixes in the CFG file and runs quite a bit better! So glad to get issue solved. I always used to use DriverGenius I might start using that again....

FSX Starting to lag
Hi there. Yeah i know what you mean. Yes I should deifnitely take the time to have a good read of your blog! I do appreciate your help there I am grateful for it I think this PC should remain one for watching movies on and am serious about upgrading to something you have suggested. Fantasitc thank you for that. Regarding the link i got about loading the cfg file the only option i get is for a geforce card which i dont have. Im not sure if i can continue on that because theres no option for an AMD card there. Unless maybe i can but selecting the Geforce card??? Yes I will def list my specs on the side also to give people a good idea of them. My FSX.CFG is probably quite loaded with a lot of 3rd party software i downloaded.. for example FSX Booster. Wondering if its worth be resetting the CFG file to start from scratch and start applying the blog tweaks? Here's the contents of my CFG. Hope this helps! Thanks guys.

FSX Starting to lag
Hi there people. I use FSX Booster ATM which has helped a little but even with that now its starting to lag a little. Here are my specs: I was just wondering what the settings would need to be adjusted to in the game in order to keep quite good realism but at the same time make it run a lot more smoothly! Thanks people

Looking for a tutorial...
Hi Was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction. With the Boeings included with FSX i have learnt to fly autopilot by just using NAV HOLD, GPS and the A/P. I understand though with planes such as the wilco ones and probably thousands other using the autopilot is a lot more advanced and realistic. Can anyone please point me towards a tutorial which would help me understand the CDU, MCP and FMC properly in order to get the planes to fly autopilot. I have eben reading the wilco tutorial for the 777 but it seems to jump in a bit advanced for me. Was wondering if theres a better guide out there to help me with other planes which dont have that GPS Garmin feature. I did try to follow the Wilco guide 4 times but its baffling that Flight Computer but i know this is the thing i need to use but was wondering if theres better guides out there for it or youtube tutorials? Thanks guys.

Slow gameplay (Particularly in high detailed areas)
Hi there people. During gameplay especially when i have it set to cloudy/foggy particulary in built up aread or areas in high detail the gameplay goes in kind of slow motion... I am using something called FSX Booster but it still doesnt completely fix the issue. Im quite surprised that as i think the PC i use is quite high spec. It is: AMD-A8-3820 APU With Radeon HD Graphics (HD 6550D) 2.5 Ghz, 4 GB RAM, 64bit OS Win 7. Can someone advise me for adjustments to settings which allows me to still see buildings etc and hills but stops this slow motion like gameplay? Thanks guys.

ILS Landings (Approaches too far to left or right)
Hi people. Have been practising the ILS landings using the 787 Dreamliner and Abacus A380. But sometimes i notice that when approaching the runway the plane is too far to the left usually and have to disengage autopilot from 200 m from ground to steer the plane right. Any ideas why this happens? Would it be because im selecting the glideslope approach hold at the wrong time? I always select it just before it hits the artificial horizon. Let me know what you guys think. Cheers.
