Aerocache Wailau Valley
I just got it by using the Icon, circled until I could get the approach 'up' the valley, full throttle and just touched the top of it and pulled up into an Immelman to get out of there in one piece.Challenging and just fun enough

Stuck in fly-by view: simple solution
I had this problem but fixed it by editing CurrentSituation.FLT inside that folder which you said to delete instead. One of the camera views had become set to locked and I just changed the 'true' to 'false' and it was working again.Section reproduced below:

Free flight... er... refresh my memory... what's that again?
I started out doing free flights in MSFS many years ago, then started looking for 'more'.The mission-esque tutorials and suchlike in the later FSX were fun, for the most part. I also started to fly combat in IL-2 which was all mission based, then graduated to multiplayer co-op missions in that same game (Thanks Joint-Ops Flight School!).I grabbed add-ons for FSX like cargo-Pilot and Rescue-Pilot just to give some meaning to the flights, but I did still sometimes just fly for pleasure as long as the ATC was working (I miss that in Flight) and eventually bought Air Hauler to run my own cargo company.I have also been flying choppers in TakeOn, again mission based.Owing to the above progression, the missions, challenges, Jobs and Aerocaches in MS Flight suit me down to the ground - loving it

Night lighting - or lack there of.
I had similar problems on that Observatory mission - blew the landing three times in a row. Going to try the monitor adjustments and see if that helps. Thanks. :Peace:

Flight - the antidote for FSX fatigue?
I'm enjoying relaxing in Flight after years of FSX.The 'jobs' board and Daily Aerocaches are adding some fun to my flight times. Chasing the odd achievement has been amusing too ('six different animal species in cargo runs', for instance, had my poor old memory trying to work out what the last two were that I hadn't transported yet though..).I bought all the DLC on the premise that I'd have paid £30 (around 45USD?) for the full game if they'd released it that way. I'll see how the pricing works for Alaska, but I expect I'll buy that too. (Looking at how much I've spent on FSX over the years).Good fun - waiting for them to add more features (ATC voice interactions, AP, Garmin 1000, etc.) but having fun barnstorming and hauling ducks in the meantime :Just Kidding:
