    DD Liverpool EGGP

Hi all, I just bought this scenery, but during install I got a question if I wanted to repair SODE. I chose to and the installer finished. But now I do not see any airport buildings. The scenery surroundings are ok, but no buildings. I'm also running ORBX England. Anyone else experiencing this? I thought I'd ask the question here as his support forum seems dead. Kind regards, Nico
  2. Great feedback guys, thank you! I just ordered a custom built system. It's not top of the line, but at least I will be able to upgrade it later... € 1.286,97 1 x Intel® Core i5-7600K, 3,8 GHz (4,2 GHz Turbo Boost) socket 1151 processor 1 x ASUS PRIME H270M-PLUS, motherboard 1 x GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Windforce OC 4G, 1 x Noctua NH-D14, CPU-cooling 1 x Corsair 8 GB DDR4-2400, 1 x Corsair CS650M, 650 Watt 1 x Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64bit, Software 1 x LG GH24NSD1, DVD 1 x Sharkoon BW9000-W, Tower 1 x Kingston SSDNow UV400, 240 GB SSD 1 x Seagate FireCuda, 2 TB Hybride 1 x ASUS Xonar DGX I'm fairly confident I will be able to use P3Dv4 according to my standards. Kind regards, Nico
  3. Hi, As my old custom built laptop has display problems, and I was intending to replace it by a desktop anyway, now is the time. I'm on a tight budget (+- 1500€) and found this one: HP PAVILION 560-P123NB AZERTY 1399€ Intel® Core i7-7700 Processor (3,6 GHz - 4,2 GHz) 12GB DDR4 RAM (2133Mhz) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (3GB) 256 GB (SSD) + 1.000 GB (SATA (HDD), 7.200 rpm) What do you guys think. I'm currently using P3Dv4 which is, I must admit, struggling on my old laptop running minimum settings (eg. no cloud shadows and no MSAA) Another option is a custom built desktop, but when choosing the above mentioned components, but a bit faster RAM and a 7700k I end op paying 1650€ without having a keyboard or a monitor... Thanks for your input, Nico

    Time compression feature

Great, thanks for your quick responses!
  5. Hello, Just a quick question before purchase: Does the 747 v3 contain the time compression feature that the 777 has? Could not find anything on the product page... Kind regards, Nico
  6. I uncheck this option every time I fly the PMDG 737 or 777. To me, textures also remain pretty crisp (admittedly a little out of focus). I do notice a larger difference if you put the terrain radar on (larger squares), but it stays acceptable to me. The FPS gain is indeed very noticeable. In the Aerosoft Airbus X unchecking this option makes the displays unreadable...

Hi Janek, This looks great! Could you tell me how I can obtain the latest mod? Should I check the IGS website? Thank you very much in advance! Kind regards, Nico

    sound.dll CTD

Hello, I was flying YBBN-VTPS this evening in the PMDG777. About halfway into the flight I got a CTD, with the faulting module being sound.dll Here is the error report: Fault bucket , type 0 Event Name: APPCRASH Response: Not available Cab Id: 0 Problem signature: P1: fsx.exe P2: 10.0.61472.0 P3: 475e17d3 P4: sound.dll P5: 10.0.61472.0 P6: 475e180f P7: c0000005 P8: 00019f18 P9: P10: I performed a search in this forum, but didn't find a solution. Could anyone help me out here? Thanks a lot! Kind regards, Nico
  9. Hi everyone, I've succesfully imported the Flightzone KPDX scenery for FS9 into FSX according to the instructions mentioned here: http://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/8758/fsx-flightzone02-portland-scenery-patch/ It works like a charm. However, I must be honest, I like the Orbx PNW textures better than the low-res (FS9) photoreal portland textures that come with the scenery. Is there any way to remove them? I've been searching the net for hours now, but I only found a forum post from someone who claims to have done this, but without instructions. Thanks in advance for any help! kind regards, Nico
