Hi all, I enrolled in the SU15 beta last Thursday. I also see a lot more smootheness and less stuttering while panning, with one exception though: the Inibuilds A300. Stuttering has become worse to the point where a few minutes after loading the flight just panning around in the cockpit becomes a slideshow. I must admit that I tested this at resource heavy KJFK and the newly released KMIA airports with FSLT traffic running. However, both airports/scenarios work just fine when in the Fenix or PMDG cockpits. Has anybody else experienced the same? Kind regards, Nico

Frame generation for all RTX cards

That's not needed... I know it says you need like 175GB on your harddrive, but it actually only uses 2,5GB or something. -
Frame generation for all RTX cards
Stroman81 replied to MrFuzzy's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
From a user on Reddit, this did the trick for me: By default the game files themselves will likely be under C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.35.21.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe This is locked down by being owned by trusted installer so even an admin account can't acces it before you start fiddling permissions. Instead of dealing with a couple of layers of Microsoft trying to keep you out there is another way. Just open the Xbox app. Right click on MSFS and select administer. From this menu you can let the app move the game files. This is only a couple GB of base files being moved and your community folder and everything stays where it was (at least if you had a custom location for it - can't fully guarantee otherwise). Now the files are in C:\XboxGames\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Content and you can edit them without having to jump through any hoops. So plop the files in this folder and it works. Kind regards, Nico -
Frame generation for all RTX cards

I'm not able to copy the files over to the MS Store folder... Any suggestions? -
Hi all, I've been simming for 20 years now, and seen a billion topics on performance improvements on dozens of different FS forums going from FS98 over P3D up to MSFS. FS, in my opinion, has always been and will always be a resource hog just due it's nature. As such, and since there are more than a billion different hardware and software setups possible there is no one size fits all solution and so also no "HOLY GRAIL". So I think the title is somewhat badly chosen, but... I have always been triggered into trying some of these tips to see where it brings me (haven't we all been?) The go/no go decision on trying such a proposed solution is for me based on following factors: 1. the complexity 2. my hardware 3. the first few responses on the topic/youtube vid/... So, in spite of the few (very rude) sceptic replies to this topic I decided to give the fix a go because implementing (and reverting if no positive outcome) is simple as buying a bread, my hardware (RTX 3070 & i7 powered laptop connected to an external HD monitor) seemed to support it and the first responses to the video seemed to be quite positive... For me at least, and after a few shorter flights last evening in the PC12, this indeed seems to improve my experience in a truly effective and positive way. Meaning: no more stutters while panning around or during the approach, being able to turn up my LOD settings in the sim and last but not least and enormous improvement in image quality/sharpness even on my older external monitor (partly because of improved LOD settings, but also due to the scaling I believe). I still need to have a final test in a performance breaking scenario like landing at KLAX or so, but so far a huge kudos to the OP for finding this. If anything, the goal of this post is to convince people that suffer from stuttering or subpar image quality to try this (if there hardware allows it). It's absolutely no effort and the return until now has been brilliant! Kind regards, Nico

I had the same issue popping up last week. I read here somewhere that deleting all scenery.dat files from \AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SceneryIndexes would would help. I deleted them (lot's of files present since I switch scenery all the time) and also deleted the content.xml file from \AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache. No error since! -
It's a patch for the A310 it seems (from the files being downloaded. But when I click 'release notes' ot says "error"...

Hi all, This plane looks awesome! Just bought the PMDG 737, but this will be another day one purchase for me as well... Question I still have (sorry if I missed it somewhere): Does it come with an automatic simrate feature like the PMDG? Kind regards, Nico -

Hi all, Are the cabin announcements customizable? Meaning, can we replace them with other airline specific ones? Kind regards, Nico -
Terrible performance on the ground post SU7
Stroman81 replied to NismoRR's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Hi, Same problem is (amongst others) described in this topic on the official forum: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/poor-performance-on-the-ground/450221/544 As with many of these topics there is a lot of pollution of different issues, but main issue described by the OP is this: - Very poor performance on the ground, especially in external view - Almost slideshow during takeoff roll - When above +- 1000ft everything kinda returns to normal (good performance) All of this even with an empty community folder. There are two solutions so far: If you don't need photogrammetry, turn it off and things should improve 100%. However, if like me, you really enjoy the photogrammetry cities there is only one (unfortunate) option and that is a clean reinstall of Windows (I used the repair function) and obviously also MSFS afterwards. For me that did the trick and everything is running really smooth again now. The topic has been noted by Asobo I think, but if you want a proper solution please upvote the topic mentioned above. Kind regards Nico -

FlyByWire A32NX 0.5.0 Stable Released!
Stroman81 replied to IcemanFBW's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Hi, Anyone else experiencing issue with the left wiper in release 0.5.0? As soon as I turn on the battery the wiper starts functioning although the switch is in the 'off' position. I can not manipulate either of the wiper switches on the overhead. Kr, Nico -
Hi, Yesterday I downloaded the Win10 2004 update, along with nvidia driver 446.14 Just as a heads up, I'm seeing about 500mb to 1GB less VRAM usage. Together with that in game I get the message that I have 5.2 GB of VRAM at my disposal from the 6GB Nvidia 1060 GTX I have onboard. (before the update this was 5GB) So all in all this allows me to turn my p3dv5 settings up just a notch whilst avoiding the dreaded "device hung" or "out of VRAM" errors. It's no miracle solution however. I still need to disable Truesky or reduce my textures to 1024x1024. This is tested at FlyTampa EHAM + Orbx TE Netherlands or LatinVFR KMIA + Orbx OpenLC North America, UTLive traffic installed and PMDG 747-400. Kind regards, Nico
