I've gotten all 3 of my PMDG planes to load in Steam now (NGX, 777, QOTSII). My problem is doing anything like say I got the urge to pull up the in-sim map, or merely hitting the escape key to pull up the end sim/exit flight menu causes a CTD. That level of instability has me doubtful that I could actually complete an hour or more flight. -Seth Goodwin

I'm still getting CTD's in SE when trying to access windows from within the sim with today's windows 10 update. I've seen the error creating child window too. -Seth Goodwin

I'm not sure how it is overly complicated and it actually seems less complicated to me. 2.0 OD customers have two options at this point. Either uninstall Rex 2.0 OD and do a clean install of Rex Essential (installing the OD addition later) or trying to follow Rex's preparation instructions to prepare 2.0 OD for Essentials +OD plus waiting until they release the Essentials + OD. The first option seems less complicated to me. They've indicated that is the case on their forums. And even if it wasn't the case I'm not sure it would be a big loss. OverDrive was a texture enhancement pack to Rex 2.0, that is it. Essentials already has HD textures built into it. I've yet to see anything that didn't looks spectacular with Essentials - OverDrive. Winds aloft data is given to you with Essentials, and particularly with the NGX, FSBuild compatibility seems rather useless given the NGX's built in planning/fuel management calculations. -Steve Godwin

I went ahead and uninstalled overdrive and Rex 2.0. Tim may chime in here to correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like an OverDrive pack will be available as an add on to Essential users. If true, there didn't seem like any reason to wait. -Steve Godwin
