Thrustmaster T-Flight Stick X throttle problems
Hi Yes have had this stick for some years. There are no on/off or PC switches. This stick has worked well in FSX up until I purchased P3D last week. I have now purchased FSUIPC4 for P3D but the calibration options are confusing! Have spent 2 hours this morning uninstalling and reinstalling and playing around with settings in FSUIPC4 but still no luck. The throttles now fully retard but then jump open and shut randomly. I think its time to buy another joystick as my patience is wearing thin.

Thrustmaster T-Flight Stick X throttle problems
Hi All. Still having issues with the throttles on my "Thrustmaster T-Flight stick X" joystick. When you advance the thottles on the PMDG 737-800NGX they will only go back to about 40% thrust and not to zero thrust. Have installed FSUIPC4 from Peter Dowsons website and also downloaded Simconnect directly from Lockheed Martin. ... I have allso recalibrated Joystick and downloaed the latest driver directly from Thrustmaster website. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the stick and tried to update the driver but for some reason it will not update. Also moved the sliders in P3D settings for the Joystick to min and max but the problem still exists. Any help or advice would be most welcome.

ORBX White square blocks!
Hi guys I wonder if you can help me with an issue I am having with ORBX. I have all the usual Orbx scenery including Europe, Vector, Open LC and EU England. My problem is that I keep getting spontaneous coloured squares as I look down from the aircraft. I have a new high end spec PC (I7 4GHz 4790K Haswell - 16Gb Ram - GTX 780 3GB) and my FSX Scenery settings have been lowered to around 60% but I still get the squares. I have also turned off the "preview in DX10" setting. I am running ASN for weather and flying the 737NGX. Would appreciate your comments. Many thanks Ian

PMDG 737NGX - Unlucky for some!
Thanks Kyle. The point I forgot to mention was that I exported the saved flight plan to my PMDG flight plan file. I then used this file as a company route for the PMDG 737NGX when programing the CDU (FMC). Checking through the LEGS page I noticed what I mentioned in my previous comment. There are several missing waypoints that do not copy from the saved FP in PMDG. As mentioned, day 2 of PFPX so not really looking for sarky comments regarding my intellect as a sim pilot I've been in the "right hobby" since Microsoft first brought out the flight simulator!

PMDG 737NGX - Unlucky for some!
Hi guys and thanks for all your comments  I did finally succeed in flying the EGKK - EHAM tutorial! I had a few mishaps with the RNAV / LNAV but eventually fathomed it out. My copy of PFPX turned up yesterday so I spent some time boring myself to death with Youtube tutorials. Kyle your tutorial was interesting but rather long winded and too in-depth for a novice (no offence chum). I did watch my old mate Frooglesims Video and that was right to the point  My only concern with PFPX was it only gives you the main route but I had to fill in a g0od few waypoints to the STAR myself which was confusing. I did a route EGKK to EDDF departing runway 26R and arriving 25L at Frankfurt but the route on PFPX ended at UNOKO. I then had to enter waypoints IBVIL > MANUV > RAMOB > ROKIN > CHA > REDGO then finally RW25L using UNOK1G not UNOK1B as per the PFPX flightplan. So either I am missing something here or the flightplan doesnt include final STAR instructions to the point of arrival runway. I have only spent a day on this so excuse my lack of skill here. So far I like PFPX although I suspect that for the majority of simmers would have just liked a simpler version that just planned a route A to B with optional SID and STAR choices. I guess I am saying that my first impression is that its a bit OTT but then I guess you don't have to use all the options. Anyway guys sorry for rambling here and once again feel free to fill me in with your suggestions and learned guidance. Best wishes Ian

PMDG 737NGX - Unlucky for some!
Hi folks I have to laugh really. I must be either the most unluckiest or stupid owner of the PMDG 737 NGX! I have been simming for years. I only fly passenger jets including all the usual suspects (737 747 A319 A320). So I decided to trade up to the realistic PMDG 737 NGX. Having spent hours and hours researching Youtube videos on the NGX in conjunction with the training videos, I still cannot fly the first tutorial flight (EGKK to EHAM). I have tried to set the FMC up a dozen times. Although the information entered seems to be ok there always seems to be a problem with the SUGOL waypoint (and yes I did over copy the right one). The Instructions are very poorly written. They fail to explain how the LNAV and VNAV operates fully and which buttons to press to activate at what point of the take off. On the few occasions where I did manage to get airborne I had no idea what to do next and when. Again this is attributed to the poor instructions provided by PMDG. This aside, my main beef with the 737 NGX is that if you do manage to master this fine software you will be stumped by the "route" programing! At the time of writing (December 2014) I have decided to invest in a copy of PFPX so that (hopefully) I can avoid this messy and long winded requirement. Lets hope that PFPX is easy to use and the instructions actually make sense. On the subject of instructions, I would also like to comment on another recent purchase. I purchased FS2CREW for the 737NGX after a good few hours research (again on Youtube). This has turned out to be another computer programmers nightmare to set up! I am using the "button" option as I don't like speech commands (my wife looks at me like an idiot). Once again the instructions are complex and don't actually explain how you communicate with the FO. If anyone has any idea how to communicate back to the FO in button mode please let me know. Would be handy if he asked the question and you could click an answer button that he would want to hear like "check" "checked" "set" etc. I have also ordered Aerosofts new A318/A319/A320/A321 package which I hope is not as confusing as the PMDG. I know it's going to be complex. Lets hope the instructions have the same functionality as the aircraft simulations. To conclude. I love my flight simming and have a lot of patience when it comes to learning these new complex and realistic aircraft. I just wish that the organisations that create them spent a bit more time with the instructions! After all, we are sim pilots not real world pilots. Happy Christmas folks Ian

FSX Fatal Error crash - Windows 7
Hi Jim I have now re-installed a clean copy of FSX and all of my FTX scenery files. I removed all addon aircraft and FLUXIFIX 2006. To date it seems to be holding up with very few CTD occurring. Thanks for your kelp

Ezdok Installation problems on Windows 7
HELP PLEASE!!! Just purchased EZDOK for FSX and its driving me nuts!! Spent all evening trying to install the software and it refuses to run! I have installed and reinstalled several times and I get the following error message: When I run the EZCA Configurator (ezca config.exe), I go under 'Options' in the menu bar, select "Registry Components", and get this error messages: RegSvr32 - The module "dx8vb.dll" was loaded but the call to DLLRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80070005 RegSvr32 - The module "dx8vb.dll" was loaded but the call to DLLRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80040201 I have searched and downloaded the permissions fix from Microsoft but this wont work. I have also run everything as "Administrator" and that doesn't help either. I have watched several Youtube installation videos and they just show working installs. I have 2 main drives: C: which is O/S I: Which holds ONLY my FSX files None of the install instructions tell you where Ezdok should be installed ? My system is: Chillblast Fusion running Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit i7-4790K NVIDIA GTX780 3GB 16GB ram C: drive = 250Gb SSD I: drive = 2TB SSHD Perhaps someone could help me with this install ? Please note I am not a programmer so keep it simple please Regards Ian

FSX Fatal Error crash - Windows 7
Hi Folks I keep experiencing FSX "Fatal Errors" using Windows 7. I have spent many hours looking through the internet for fixes but nothing seems to resolve the issue. I have downloaded and installed both FSUIPC4 and the UIAtomationCore.dll but this does not help the situation. I have been using FSX for many years and have just invested in a new top spec PC for my simming. Here are my PC Specs: Chillblast Fusion Nebula Haswell Intel Core i7 4790K Haswell 4.0GHz (Over clocked up to 4.4GHz) Asus Z97-A Motherboard - Haswell CPU only 16GB Corsair/Crucial PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3 Memory Nvidia GTX 780 3GB Graphics card 250GB SSD 2Tb SSHD Corsair Hydro H80i CPU Cooler Window 7 Home premium 64 bit O/S Norton Internet Security My FSX settings were initially set to MAX but I have now brought them back down from "Ultra High" to "High". The following add-ons are also being used: Orbx FTX Global FTX Global Vector FTX Global Open LC Europe FTX EU England Active Sky Network for Weather FlusiFix-2006 I have the current drivers for my graphics card and I have checked all my software for viruses etc. I do have some downloaded freeware aircraft which have worked well in the past. Could FlusiFix be causing a problem? I also fly on Fscloud and sometimes when I join, FSX Fatal errors and crashes. Any help and advice would be very much appreciated as the constant crashing either at the start of the flight or after a period of time is driving me insane! Many thanks Ian (Ian65 FS Cloud)

PMDG 737 NGX Crashes "out of memory"
Thanks for the lengthy advice TABS I really appreciate your explanation and am very surprised and pleased that someone from PMDG has actually spent the time to advise on this thread. That said, it seems that there is an endless combination of variables to getting the most from FSX in conjunction with PMDG 737 NGX if you have a mid to low end PC. I forgot to mention in my initial "PC Spec" that my O/S is actually Windows VISTA 32 Bit, not Windows 7. I don't have much in the way of addons: FS Global 2008 and UK VFR Scenery. Maybe 6 addon aircraft downloads and that's about it. I would define my FSX settings as Medium and never had a problem with those settings before. These days I spend all of my flying time online at Hippy Happy Germany (HHG) via their dedicated ip server. This has its own FSX settings within HHG's server which I have never had a problem with in 5 years. So, what do you recommend ? Should I just invest in a fresh Windows 7 64Bit O/S using my current PC and see if this resolves my issues ? Obviously I would love to just go out and spend £1,000 plus on a new PC but feel that this would be a very expensive way to fly one particular addon. Best regards, Ian

PMDG 737 NGX Crashes "out of memory"
Thanks B247NG I have flown online with HHG (user Ian65) for around 5 years now and this is my number 1 passion. Logging 1000's of hours flying VL and job flights over the years in every different type of jet. The time to move on to more advanced and realistic flight simulator aircraft will ultimatley mean spending some money on a new high spec PC. So to answer your question, What I want from FSX is great realism without comprimise (sorry my spelling sucks).

PMDG 737 NGX Crashes "out of memory"
Thanks for the advice guys. Just checked the O/S and it is indeed the 32 bit version so I guess I'm stuffed unless I fork out for Windows 7 64 bit! Anyone know where I can obtain a free non trial version ? PS - It really annoys me that when you read through the instruction manual that comes with the boxed version there is no mention of internet based Pdf files or a detailed trouble shooting section. It seems that companies like PMDG assume your a computer nerd and that you can solve any issues yourself! At £47.00 I'd expected a bit more......

PMDG 737 NGX Crashes "out of memory"
Hi Everyone, This has probably been posted already but I cant find it. I was bought a boxed PMDG 737 NGX for Fathers day but I am having alot of problems getting it to work. I have read lots of topics and been through the PMDG Pdf info etc but need some help please. My system Specs are: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q9400 @ 2.66Ghz - 4Gb Ram - Nvidia Geforce GTS 240 I downloaded Sp1 from PMDG website but it said I already had the most up to date version installed. I have also been on the "*******" website and used their suggested file. My FSX settings are roughly "medium" and I don't normally run out of memory when playing online at HHG. I fly all day and never have a problem. Senario: I select freeflight > PMDG 737NGX House > Try to do the first tutorial flight EGKK to EHAM > Fair weather no wind > Time: 09:00 - Aircraft loads onto runway and "settings" load > After a few moments I see long spikey verticals in the scenery and then I get an error message "Your system is out of memory - reload Fsx" or words to that effect > Fsx crashes to desktop. Hope someone can help. Many thanks Ian
