  1. If they are showing up on the map, then you should be able to see them in-game ...try going into the game and pressing the '[' or the ']' keys ..this will target the previous/next player (provided they're are players in game) and show you how far they are from you....this may give you an idea of where to find them. If this fails, then it has me stumped.
  2. I purchased this at full price and ten mins later it was available on steam at 25% discount, but no matter, I love this little baby - I shall be using this extensively alongside my over-used Maule. The Flight Team have done a great job on this model, it's a shame that they've been shut down, because this plane gives us a glimpse of what could have been. BUY IT - it breathes life into Alaska - and will add months to your Flight enjoyment.
  3. This is one of those posts that make me slap myself in the face and scream (much to the wife's amusement), why the heck didn't I think of this ...DUH . Great idea thanks.
  4. The suggestion was for it to be changed so that it is pointing to the current version, whom and how that's done is not of concern so much. Being somewhat new to this forum, I do not know who moderates it, I assumed that J van E being the OP would have some control over his tutorial (or at least know who did).
  5. Airport to change - Flight = Golovin (PAGL) - Plan G = Golovin (N93) Also I noticed that you made a list of changes you've made to the database, these included Airports that you had deleted from the database as they arent in Flight but show up in Plan G, this has caused a problem for me as I use Plan G for FSX too and now I have airports missing (temp fix, I've reverted back to my original file)
  6. Flying Wild Alaska - Season One/ Episode One - Flight 2 - Flight Plan is now available for download, I have posted info and a link on the Steam thread that can be found here:- Flying Wild Alaska Flight 2 Enjoy Tony
  7. Thanks took only 8 mins from the dropbox, must be skydrive connection. ..usually get skydrive files at full throttle, but hey it's all good...thanks
  8. I dont know if there's currently a lot of traffic but when I try to download this file it's going to take 4hrs, yet I have a 100MB broadband line ... traffic across other areas of the net seems fine. - I'll try again later
  9. The sticky that points to your tutorial on the MS Flight Forum is pointing to an older version that doesnt show the link to the database fro plan-g etc this is the link from the sticky http://forum.avsim.n...e-them-in-gmap/ and this is the current thread http://forum.avsim.net/topic/379059-how-to-create-flightplans-in-plan-g-and-use-them-in-gmap/
  10. J van E, You might want to update the link under the MS Flight Tutorials that points to this as it doesnt include the updated links to gmap and the Plan-G database file.
  11. Thanks for the response, although I fail to follow what your point is (I've not slept in 3 days so I might be suffering a brain burp)
  12. Not sure I understand 'part 121' and 'part 135' ? (but then Im not up on Aviation Terminology)
  13. I cant recreate flights from Ice Pilots as it is centred around the Northwest Territories of Canada, whereas Flying Wild Alaska fits nicely into the Alaska Wildernes Experience Pack and with these flights I hope to add some interest where the lack of missions and intelligent aerocaches have failed.
  14. I shall be uploading Flight Plans (and instructions) for flights that I've tried to recreate from the 'Flying Wild Alaska' series. This is the first flight from Season One - Episode One. Flying Wild Alaska - Season One/Episode One - Unalakleet to the Nurato Hills Download Unalakleet to Nurato Hills - Flight01 Jim Tweto takes three hunters up into the Nurato Hills, 102 Miles Northeast of Unalakleet. Upon arrival at the selected landing zone, Jim makes three passes in order to airdrop the hunters gear near the landing zone to lighten the load and therefore shorten the distance needed for braking on landing. Shortly after taking off for the return journey the left rudder mechanism fails and jim has to shuffle over into the co-pilots seat in order to bring the plane safely home. Download the file and unzip/extract to a folder of your choice. You will find the flight plan file VFR Unalakleet to Nulato Hunt.pln and a README text file, place the VFR Unalakleet to Nulato Hunt.pln file in the folder where you keep your Flight Plans. The text file gives details of the Flight and any special instructions. The Flight Plan can be loaded into Gmap(recommended) or Plan-G and followed accordingly. Enjoy Next Flight will be posted Monday. PS..this can also be found on the Steam MSF Forum here Steam Thread
  15. View full episodes here Flying Wild Alaska If you stil run into 'not available in your area' block, then download this little standalone proxy app Ultrasurf run it then browse and you should find that you are able to bypass Area Restricted Content.
