  1. Thank you so much FS++ Works great. I wasn't aware of that UI menu, or had forgotten it. Super appreciate your excellent help!
  2. How can the MCE commands in red subtitling at the top of the monitor screen be removed? Thanks in advance. Regards, BoHill
  3. Thanks Trav, that sounds great! I appreciate your interest and help. Please just let us know how it develops in smoothing out a combine of MCE with FSCaptainX, maybe by late summer as you estimated. And I agree, the MCE gurus have produced some really amazing stuff over the past couple of years!
  4. Wow, I thought they sounded similar when I watched a YouTube clip of FSCap! Perhaps, Clive will now please comment...? ... while we wait for an Admin Staff Moderator to give the official MCE response to combining MCE with FSCaptainX?
  5. On the contrary, they are very easy to reach and always helpful and supportive. One could easily get in touch first with Admin: Dutch Owen at the following forum: http://fscaptain.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general and: http://fscaptain.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ideas It appears that MCE and FSCapt would be a great combination.
  6. Wishful thinking: is it possible to use MCE along with FSCaptain X? Have you ever discussed this with the FSCaptain developers? Seems like that would make a great combo together.
  7. Fantastic...this just gets better and better! Thanks for your clarification reply and for the super support service! Absolutely, well done!
  8. Ok, I understand now; I have TTS CereProc voices which are sounding really fine as the Purser coming through my external speakers since she/he usually (always?) opens the cockpit door to tell me anything directly. Thanks much for your attention; that's excellent!
  9. Further to the above, I conducted another test, skipping the deboarding menu item #1. Voila! Thereafter, everything else worked perfectly by voice through Simon, including catering, refueling, boarding, and with auto door operation throughout. It seems that there is an overlap or shared files problem regarding deboarding and boarding. In fact, it appears that the program is considering them both to be "boarding" which explains the odd good-bye from Simon after deboarding. Can we please get this fixed in the upcoming update? By the way...when I ask for Roberto or Marko, Simon always answers instead. Will this be fixed/expanded later? NOTE: We crossed messages here. Thanks for the quick attention and speedy fix! P. S. - I do think it would be immersive to ask the ground crew to attach or detach the jetway. ^_^
  10. FS++, thanks for your kind advice. However, after more reflection and use, I actually prefer my present setup with all voices (except MCE selected TTS voices) coming through my headset which includes ground crew, ramp co-ord, and even MS Anna (which I use for AISmooth). So, the only external speaker voice is if I choose a TTS voice via MCE. By the way, do you have any idea why my MCE TTS voices drop-down menu only shows the third party TTS voices that I have installed separately as TTS within MS Win? I do not see any "MCE" TTS voices listed in the MCE dropdown.
  11. To continue the above quoted issue and hopefully get an updated response, as a newly registered MCE user, I am now new to the GSX trial program and have noticed a few apparent problems marked in bold italics, some of which have been noted before: First, tested GSX without MCE, using default 738 at gate. Results as follows: Opened by Ctrl + F12, then clicking onscreen GSX menu. All five menu items working well, some minor difficulty getting Shift + E then 2 and Shift + E then 3 to work doors properly. Results: overall no problems. Also, noticed that all five listed items can be sequentially selected and they will be "queued" to continue auto one after the other, but I have to operate the doors. Next, modified MCE.ini file as suggested: GroundServicesMode=GSX and PushWithGSXandAES=1 as noted elsewhere in this forum. Tested GSX with MCE, using default 738. Results as follows: Could not start/open GSX by voice. Forced to use Ctrl + F20 after which Simon introduced himself. Operated jetway by manual Ctrl + J. Requested Deboarding and this worked well. Doors auto by cabin crew and ground crew. Simon said good-by. Why? Requested Refueling. Reply: No refueling after passengers boarded: but no passengers had boarded yet. Obvious error. Forced to use GSX menu: Refueling completed, worked fine, no problem. Requested Catering in many variations. Reply: No reply at all at all, just silence. Broken command? Forced to use GSX menu: Catering completed, worked fine, no problem. Doors auto by cabin crew. Requested Cabin Cleaning. Reply: Not available here. Perhaps, in the future? Found this in the MCE/GSX command guide document. Requested Boarding. Reply by FO: Passengers already on board: but no passengers had boarded. Obvious errors. Forced to use GSX menu: Boarding completed, worked fine, no problem. Boarding Door auto close failed, had to request cabin crew close boarding door. Obvious error. Operated jetway by manual Ctrl + J. Contacted ground crew first, then asked if ready for pushback, and was transferred to GSX crew: very nicely done. Pushback, start engines, disconnect by GSX, and release of MCE ground crew worked fine and is a really excellent integration. Gives a great impression that my airline ground crew Chief Mech is supervising the airport's local ground crew. Well done! NOTE: It would be a true stroke of genius to queue these items via MCE and have them follow on each other on auto with the crew operating the doors as now done. Hopefully, some/all of this can be resolved/improved for including in the coming update. Thanks for all your great efforts and excellent work!
  12. Now that I am a full purchase registered MCE owner, I ran similar setups as noted by DrV (using my Creative Labs setup) andI concur totally with his findings. Likewise, I can run all sound Fx through my external speakers and most all voices (FSX ATC, MS Anna, MCE Announcer, and MCE recorded) through the headset. However, the TTS voices selected within MCE always play externally only and cannot be forced to play through the headset as so noted by DrV. Thus, it appears that there may be an extra internal "switch" inside MCE which is over-riding any other settings for TTS voices. Perhaps, this is not a major deal since the non-headset "ambiance" may be preferred for the cabin crew at times. Still, it is odd and it would be nice to have the choice of how to hear the cc. Thanks much!
  13. Wow...help may be required...but not from a guru. This topic is beyond absurd The cockpit is not a politically correct "PC" commune; it's called a cockpit for a reason. The developers have tried to capture real life and have succeeded remarkably well. We need more, not less, adult lanquage and situations. We all have a right to freedom of speech and to our own opinions, but nobody has a right NOT to be offended. That's just life. I think FS++ has done more than enough by giving you the ability to switch off nagging. Now, if there was just that same switch for this forum...
  14. [Chris have you set your headset/2nd sound card properly in Windows TTS setup (advanced tab) to direct Win7 TTS output to your headst/2nd card?] Since I'm on the verge of taking the MCE plunge, this issue is a major concern for me. Currently, using the FSX options in Settings>Sound, I have my Sounds set to the Default Primary Device (my external speakers) and the Voice set to the Default Communications Device (my headset). This allows me to have the ATC voices, and MS Win7 TTS Anna on AISmooth, through the headset, while all other sounds output through the speakers. Of course, I thought MCE would offer the same, and I assumed we could select whether to hear the MCE copilot, TTS, or recorded voices through the voice headset or not. Alpha117, please clarify this issue; it will be so appreciated. Thanks!
  15. The two phase idea as you describe seems like a fine approach. It's a mark of true professionalism for MCE to make this integration. It allows MCE to be the dominant lead program while utilizing the positive aspects of the PFE ATC system. Cheers to MCE, and thanks for keeping us updated!
