  1. I remember one of the Feature Discovery Series films (Cockpits, as far as I remember) and the "virtual" checklist, where subsequent instruments were highlighted in green. Do you know if this kind of checklist already works for smaller aircraft in the current alpha, and - most importantly - if it works in A320 and B747 cockpits? Thanks!
  2. I was wondering if passenger cabins of A320 and B747 are as detailed as cockpits and if it is possible to "walk" inside the aircraft or at least "cam-walk" as in XP11? And I also wonder if doors, like external doors, toilet doors, etc. are going to be interactive? What do you think?
  3. I have just opened the Bing Maps page on Wikipedia, and I saw with disbelief that the last map update took place in 2010. So if I'm not mistaken, it means that in Flight Simulator we get a world that is very out of date... A closer look at my neighborhood on Bing Maps just confirmed it. Are the other towns you live in also like 10 years ago in Bing Maps?
  4. Question number one: I was wondering what the final, formal title of the sim will be. We all use the title Flight Simulator 2020 to differentiate it from previous Microsoft Simulators, however the game logo indicates clearly, that it will be simply the "Microsoft Flight Simulator". No year, no numbers, etc. As far as I remember, Asobo employees never say "Flight Simulator 2020" when they talk about the sim. What do you think? Question number two: As I watched the latest development videos from Asobo, I think now they are not going to introduce the AI aircraft silhouettes which are close to the reality. I think they are going to handle all AI traffic with those "pencil-nose" generic airliners that are going to mimic all other airliners in the world (perhaps with an exception of B747 and A320). I don't think they are going to introduce aircraft that really look like all those 777s, A330s, etc. And if I'm not wrong, how are they going to represent, say, regional airliners (like CRJs) and turboprops? Will the "pencil-nose" act as both Dash Q400 and A340?
  5. 🔴 [COVID-19] Communication / March 18 🔴 Hi family, we wanted to write a quick message here just to say that we are fine. We are currently working from home and trying our best to deliver the things we promised. We’ll try and continue to keep you updated via social networks as much as possible. We hope you and your loved ones are safe. Talk to you as soon as possible, ❤️ The Asobo Team
  6. In my opinion MS/Asobo should provide paintkits for A320/B747, so that all those eager artists who wait for the sim release could work in the meantime and provide tens of different liveries for the day Zero...
  7. - "Follow me" cars - Possibility to update AIRAC cycles via Navigraph - Real livery traffic - An "air taxi" module, which would give you ideas where someone wants to fly to, possibly with economic system - Passenger & crew sounds in airliners, like in XP11 Zibo 737 - Animated co-pilot in airliners with voice checklists - I don't like to look at the empty seat on my right hand side - Good pushback planning system like in XP11 Better Pushback - Ah yes, and I'd appreciate a good IFR&VFR flight planning system, so we don't need to use external sites.
  8. Sometimes I miss those boxed versions of games... I still remember when I bought the "Su-27 Flanker" simulator. The box was so heavy and it contained a huge printed manual... sweet...
  9. As far as I know, there are some (many?) Alpha testers among us. I know they cannot answer many questions due to the NDA regulations... However, sometimes it's possible and a simple Yes or No, without any specific details, would be ok... So I'll try... 1/ Do you have a full access to the whole globe now? Can you choose ANY airport you wish? 2/ Do you have a full access to all aircraft, including jets? 3/ This one is related to the gameplay, so I doubt someone could answer, but... I like the X-Plane function where I can position the camera as I like and then store that position using the Num keys. Is saving views in a similar way possible in MSFS? Thanks
  10. Dear spilok, perhaps you know and could suggest any really scenic & stunning VFR routes in your region? Just one or two, 100-400 nm long, you could simply give the origin - via - destination. Thanks!
  11. I bet most of you already have some planned routes in their heads or even on paper/PC. My plans are as follows: - Start at my local (EPPO) airport and fly C172 around my city, find my house, see all those local POIs Later, when I check every aircraft: - Fly VFR around my country (Poland) - Fly VFR around the shores of the Mediterranean sea (DA62) - Fly VFR around Europe (TBM930) I currently use X-Plane 11 and in 95% of cases I fly airliners IFR, so... my plans even surprised myself... GA aircraft and VFR... I guess only when I feel satisfied with all those stunning views I'll jump into a cockpit of something bigger. So, what are you plans when MSFS2020 is finally released?
  12. My list: Cirrus SR22 Cirrus Vision Dash Q400 CRJ-700/900 Boeing 737NG Boeing 777 or 787 Airbus A350
  13. We all know that in the case of FSX or X-Plane the quality of most addons was stunning, when compared to original aircraft available in the game. However, when I look at the MSFS 2020 aircraft, their interiors, all that sound recording job, I'm beginning to doubt if any major 3rd party addon developer will be able to match that quality set by Asobo. Somehow I don't think that any such developer would have resources and would like to invest money to scan real aircraft for textures and sounds like Asobo does. So in my opinion the siuation may be somewhat reversed - the in-game aircraft will always look, sound and fly better than any Addons thanks to enormous amount of data they collect... And if that is true, do you think Asobo/Microsoft will sell DLC aircraft in the future with the same standards they use now? I think it never happened in the history of any sim?
  14. Right, that would solve the problem. The next question is: how the real time air traffic will be related to time of day? If I want to fly with RTAT, do I need to start my flight in real time? What if I switch from day to night? Historic mode again? Darn, so many questions...
  15. The Asobo MSFS team claims that they are able to show the real world air traffic in the sim. That's pretty awesome in terms of the game itself, but... what about time compression? If they're going to implement any time compression, how will the AI traffic behave? Or maybe they will implement the "speed compression" like in X-Plane 11? I don't know, but this should be solved somehow, otherwise very long distance flights will be available for maniacs only.
  16. I know that IFR presentation is still ahead of us, but I remember that SID/STAR functionality was mentioned in one of the videos and I was wondering if Asobo is going to use such file format for AIRACs that will be handled by e.g. Navigraph... What do you think?
