Hi, I have almost completed my Overhead for the 737 cockpit i'm building. Using the PMDG 737NGX and LINDA. Great program by the way! I don't have any problems really until it's time for coffee..... I can't seem to find the option to assign the cabin call button in LINDA. I used it before when I had the older software installed. Is it included in the latest version? Not at my sim at the moment so not sure which version In am using!! Oh... The only other button I can't find an assignment for is the annunciator test switch on the MIP. Not a major problem but would love to see the sim lit up like a Christmas tree!!! Any help here would be great. Thanks Pilotstu

Hi, I am in the process of wiring and programming my home built Overhead panels. I am using Arduino boards that have been flashed and converted into 70 button joysticks called UnoJoy. LINDA recognises them and I have assigned the light panel switches to be used with the 737NG. all good so far. The problem is when I load the PMDG 737NG, the sim crashes. When I start again with the Arduino disconnected, there are no problems but obviously can't use the panel. I have been using LINDA with my flight Yoke, throttles, etc without any problem for a long time now. so hope someone can help? This may not be a LINDA problem but I have to ask. I will also ask in PMDG and Arduino forums. Thanks

FSUIPC does not speak to the card. Another program converts the physical switch action to a digital ON/OFF then tells the PC that a keyboard key has been pressed. That key has been assigned to FSUIPC using mouse macros. Example: FUEL PUMP switch on the panel is wired to PIN 1 on the Arduino board. PIN 1 has been given a keyboard command of say the letter P. The letter P is then set up in FSUIPC as the command for the FUEL PUMP switch. So... every time the letter P is pushed, the FUEL PUMP will toggle. Because on PIN 1 on the Arduino board is assigned to P, when the switch is toggled, the FSUIPC thinks the letter P is being pushed but it is actually the physical switch. I think that sounds complicated. I did see that board but not sure if LINDA sees it as programmable buttons. If it does, then that might be the way to go.

Hello, I am building a 737NG home cockpit, very slowly and cheaply, and have almost finished the overhead. I selected Arduino MEGA interface cards to assign switches and knobs. works very well. Done using the FSIUPC mouse macro technique, then in the arduino, I give this switch a keyboard command so when I flick the switch, FSX thinks I hit the key assigned in FSUIPC and hey Presto... the switch moves in FSX. I hope that all makes sense?? The problem I think I may come across when I add the MIP and centre console, is I will most likely run out of keyboard strokes to cover all the switches etc... The question is simple.... Is it possible to fool LINDA into thinking one or two of the Arduino MEGA cards are joystick buttons or something of the likes? LINDA is so much quicker and easier to use. Or could anyone recommend an interface card that IS compatible with LINDA? I already have two Saitek throttles, Saitek Yoke, Saitek rudder peddles and VRinsight MCP combo 2 assigned. The aircraft I am going to use is the PMDG 737-800NGX. Hope this enough info. Cheers

I thought the scoring system was VERY good. Also PIREPS were rejected if your flight was outwith certain parameters. I would say it was extremely professional and miss flying with them. I am now with BA virtual and have seen some pilots land at over 1100FPM. The flight was still accepted! I'm not having a go at BA BTW as I waited months to even sit their exam! With Ryanair, it felt as though every flight was being monitored, which I suppose it was with Acars. Perhaps the management were not as good as their product??? I can't comment as I did not have any reason to contact them... Phew..... I talk too much!

Hope someone can help, I use LINDA with my MCP and it works great. The problem I have is setting buttons on my Saitek throttle. When I assign a button for example, " fuel cutoff" to button 15. I save settings, a message comes on screen to tell me config is saved. I test with LINDA open and works great. When I close LINDA, the button then does not work. If I program a button on the MCP to do the same, it works ok. Any ideas would be fantastic.

LOL.... That IS a great setup!!! My VRinsight MCP arrived yesterday. Had a Quick go and it's amazing. Only problem is I can't re-program the user buttons to what I want using the Keymapper software supplied. Followed the instructions, I think, but the assignment does not change. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem. Had to delete FS2Crew. Brilliant program too. Gutted!

@nolatron. That IS a cool looking setup. Your reasons for getting the O/C version is why I was in two minds! Can anyone tell me what LINDA is?

I'd like to thank everyone for their comments. I have ordered the VRi version due to the Efis and Comm section being included, compared to the OC MCP only. They now have sale on ironically, if you buy the MCP and EFIS together they give you 100Euro off. Although I ordered it from Proviation.co.uk on the 7th Dec, it has still not arrived and have not heard from the company I bought it from since the 18th. All Emails I send are being pinged back and their phone is not being answered. I hope they have not gone bust!

Hi all, I am currently looking to buy either the VRInsight Boeing MCP Combo or the Opencockpits MCP. Could anyone give me their opinion as I am completely undecided! I other words... Which is best?? I can get them for roughly the same price! Thank you

I tried the uiautomationcore.dll fix but it made not difference. I have backed up everything I removed, and hopefully i'll have no probs. I don't know how windows works in depth, but if I get problems later, I hope to restore the deleted files. I am hard wired to the net which, I suppose, is a bonus. Thanks for the warning Andy81le

SOLVED!!! Removed al UIAutomationCore.dll files and removed missionpanel.cfg file in the <FSX Install Folder>/Gauges folder. Works a treat!! At the moment. hope this helps.

I have been using FSPassengers and the PMDG NGX for a few months and kept getting the "FATAL ERROR" messsage. Not all the time, and not just specific to either of these products. Very random times and any aircraft. I followed a fix from another forum and that solved the random crashes. Now I can do any flight with using FSP... BUT not with the PMDG737. I had 25hrs with FsP and the PMDG, but now it does not last any longer than 2-3 seconds and crashes!! Very annoying. The aircraft works fine on it's own, as does FsP with other aircraft. I tried a full re-install of everything, but no luck! It would be great to hear from someone who could help.
