  1. My addition to the wishlist would be for a better Livery Manager. I currently have an issue with AI when I hide aircraft using the livery manager. If I hide all of the default FSX aircraft, then I get AI versions of these aircraft appearing as black (unpainted) aircraft. I would like to see a fix for this where either the Livery Manage allows access to hidden liveries for AI or that any hidden aircraft cant be used as AI.
  2. Lamb posted a topic in SIMstarter
I have a screen that runs at 1920 x 1024 x 32 but when I start FSX via SimStarter the resolution is always set to 1280 x 720 x 32. I have looked at the FSX.cfg file and the settings in it are for the higher resolution and when I start FSX directly the screen resolution starts at the higher resolution. I guess I have missed something but cant see what it is. Any help would be just great.
  3. Interesting that you get no revs buildup. I may have solved it. I re-calibrated my prop pitch and made sure it was set to nill before i started up. I still get the revs build up and the aircraft dips against the parking brakes but stays put. Thanks for your efforts Charliearon.
  4. We may have!! I still have no answer so I was spreading my net wider. It is an odd thing, its the only aircraft that it happens to. The series of events from cold and dark is this: Parking brakes on Switches on - OK Throttle to minimum Initiate start. Prop starts turning engine starts. Revs build to maximum and hols for 30 seconds (no throttle change) Revs drop to Idle. (no throttle change) It is when the revs start to build in the penultimate point, so the aircraft starts to push against the brakes. The parking brakes (and manual brakes) are overcome and the aircraft charges forward until the revss drop to Idle. I am wondering if the Prop pitch is set wrongly. I have had some success in setting the pitch to maximum and rapidly reducing it as the revs build. It seems the default position for the pitch is max.
  5. The aircraft is a freeware Tucano at: http://simviation.com/fsxprops23.htm near the bottom of the page.
  6. I have a similar issue but with only one aircraft, and only on start up. I suspect this is somthing different though. When I start up the aircraft the startup process goes well enough, but when running the engine runs up to full throttle for about 30 second before returning to Idle. This causes the aircraft to surge forward even wahen the breaks are full on. Is there anything I can do about this?
  7. Thanks I will give that a go. It is nice to know It is just me and not the aircraft!
  8. I have installed the freeware Tucano by Simshed. On the whole I am pleased with the aircraft, but I have one issue with it. When the aircraft is started up, the engine goes to full throttle and then returns to idle. I am sure this this realistic, but the problem is that the brakes will not hold the aircraft back when this is done. This results in the aircraft rushing forward by a fairly long way until the revs drop and the brakes come into effect. Not so good when you are on the stand. How can this be changed? Any suggestions would be good!
  9. I am using OpusFX v3.49.1 beta and have just fitted a new Track IR. I have an issue with my opus views when using it. When I move my head and although the view moves as it should, there is a stutter. I have tried ticking and un-ticking the Track IR high priority box but it seems to make no difference. This only happens when I use Opus FX Can you advise what I should do to improve the Track IR / Opus performance? Thanks
  10. Strangely enough I had a windows error quoting the DLL - which was useful. A rare thing in windows, I was quite taken aback! Uninstalling Soundstream made everything work OK. I had installed soundstream first, and it was when I installed EZDOK that the error occurred.
  11. I had a DLL conflict. I contacted EZDOK support about it and was informed that the two programs were not compatible by them.
  12. Thanks Pe11e I tried SoundStream but it is not compatible with EZDOK thevery thing I am using that causes the sound to switch off. I use onboard sound at the moment but will look into creative sound cards. Thanks.
  13. Is there a way to keep the sound from FSX audible when the FSX window is unfocused? I use several ancillary programs (EZDOK, Plan-G etc.) and when I use them the FSX sound is lost.
  14. Sorry PGSpy I didnt realize you were under 18 VAs like you require are as rare as hens teeth.... and most have an age minimum. Good luck with your search. Dont loose heart if you dont find one. Sent from my GT-P3110 using Tapatalk 2

  16. Hi, I have just tried to APChart chart viewer, an add on gauge for both FSX and FS9 by Holger Maass on an windows 7 64 bit platformed FSX install. The install seemed to go well, but when I try to create the airport DB, no airports are found. I cant see a way to understand or check where the DB build program is looking during its build. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so was there a resolution?
  17. I have been reading this thread with interest. I run an i7 CPU and a 1GB card. From this card I run 5 screens. 3 through a triple head from the Display port and 2 through a Dual head from the DVI port on the card. When everything is running frame rates can be good, but some times, with many windows open it just can't cut it. I end up with blank GPS or other called out gauges on my Dual head screens fairly often, and sometimes the main triple head display gives up. It is not a frame rate issue though, rather a display issue, blank window or crash. What should I do? will buying a better graphics card be of benefit in this case? Is the poor performance due to lack of graphics grunt or graphics memory?
