  2. Forgive me if this has been covered already, I haven't seen anyone else speak of this issue in these forums. I was looking for" The Radio Background File comes with Pilot2ATC. It provides the background static for the ATC Voices". In the user manual it shows that it resides in a folder called sound files. I don't seem to have that folder in my install. Where can I get it? Maybe an incomplete download perhaps? Thanks in advance, DustBeats P.S. I am very excited about this software, I just recently purchased and looking forward to enjoying...!
  3. thanks for the reply; Just trying to eliminate the ones I don't need; i have a few like the desktop aviator parking brake and fuel selector/cutoff, that are not needed, and i will be adding two more devices soon, so i need that space. also, for the default aircraft the saitek radios, multipanel, and switch panels are not needed
  4. Hello, a question regarding removing joysticks/hid devices from LINDA. I am at the 10 device limit, but I don't need them all in there. How do I remove the ones I don't need to make room for the ones I do need? Many thanks, Dust
  5. Thanks MarkDH, I do have Linda, I admit I don't have much experience with it as of yet. I am looking forward to learning it though. I will try your suggestion - also, I wonder if a FSUIPC mouse macro would work. Thanks again
  6. Hi all, I am looking for some info on how to map the aux fuel pump array in the carenado centurion to rocker switches on my dashboard. I have searched the FSUIPC list, but might have missed it. Anyone have any suggestions? Carenado was no help at all lol. Thanks so much Dustbeats
  7. Hello all, I am currently building a new home cockpit dashboard for C172/C210's. I have been searching everywhere for a way to map the AUX fuel switches to the rocker switches in my cockpit. I have searched the FSUIPC list. Does anyone know of a way to map these? Did I miss something in the FSUIPC list that might work? Keystroke, anything. Thanks so much in advance, DustBeats
  8. Dont see why it shouldn't work on one pc with v fsuipc4.931. Then re-install AH.
  9. Not sure if this helps as I am using WideFs running AH on a laptop - installed fsuipc v 4.931 and wideclient 6.999 first then the hotfix last, and it was up and running. If you have a spare pc/laptop around this approach works well. Regards
  10. Performance increase I could describe as moderate..it is one less process demand on the cpu. It works great for me because I have to stream weather over multiple pcs and monitors. I haven't tested on two pcs.... but in theory one should see a slight to moderate increase. Also depending of course on what cpus and speeds we're talking..I think older/slower setups off-loading tasks like this could see more of a significant increase.
  11. I use multiple pcs (WidevieW with proper Licenses) to answer FlyingDoc; I don't think AI can be run remotely; but I currently use ActiveSkyNext on the network and it works great - (have to configure simconnect properly). I also own Opus and GlobalRealWeather that have their own remote connecting protocols (no simconnect,) and there are a few other weather programs that also work on a network like ActiveSky2012w/SimConnect and REX I believe.
  12. Except.. im having trouble getting remote pc with fsgrw to send to server pc via the network bridge for P3Dv2.1. Think I read that 2.1 support is due out soon. When I test the network connection Fsuipc connects successfully but I keep getting simconnect failure to connect to simulator. Could I be missing something? * Fsgrw installed on laptop * network bridge installed on server * network setup for file sharing.. (opus works fine) * correct server address input on fsgrw * correct sim selected during data transfer * both sim and network bridge are running on server during network test * scratching head Thanks, Dust
  13. Exactly what I have been looking for! Thank you Boris4356 for taking the time to work with FSG and getting around the wideview weather situation- you are a life saver, have tried them all! Opus,Rex,AS2012,ASN with WidevieW, Just downloaded FSGRW - looking forward to trying it - Cheers DustBeats
  14. Hello all, I would like to gather some opinions from this forum from anyone that would be so kind as to offer me some opinions on my setup. Interested mainly in server/client combinations of the below listed processors/gpus I have accumulated in the never ending quest for fsx/p3d happiness...all opinions are more than welcome - thanks in advance cpus: i73970k i73930k i74770k i7975k (outdated i know, will run client/add-ons) gpus: gtx titan gtx 680x2 gtx 590 drives: 2x 120gb corsair force gt ssds 2x 240gb corsair force gt ssds 3x 10,000 rpm 600gb velociraptors 2x 1tb seagate HDDs (os/fsx drive combo opinions welcome as well) All the above are custom liquid cooled(Koolance; cpu-mosfet-gpu) and have overclocked them all to 4.8ghz. Have 3 monitors for windscreen views, two for instrument panelviews and one for moving maps and such - as well as an asus laptop that runs ActiveSkyNext weather and air hauler. I am looking for the most efficient combo, Bit of a long question I know but with the amount of work involved; assembly and installaton I sure would like to get it right...lol Thanks again DustBeats
