09JUN14 - PMDG 777 SP1 and 300ER updates
sumnr5@yahoo.com replied to rsrandazzo's topic in PMDG General Forum
Today is June 16, when does PMDG hope to release the new product? I understand the target date and actual release date can differ quite alot. One other question. Has the SDK been released to Fs2Crew so that they can develop a version for the 777? Keep up great work PMDG. Your products are worth waiting for. -

MCE and GSX time out
sumnr5@yahoo.com replied to sumnr5@yahoo.com's topic in The Multi-Crew Experience (MCE) Support Forum
My version is 2.5.95. When program is working correctly, the GSX screen comes on for a split second. So when I make a request, Jim comes back and calls CC. CC responds and the vehicles show up and all is well. When things don't go right, the GSX screen stays on much longer, and goes out when Jim is done with his intro. When I call him, he responds, and calls CC. CC comes back, but no vehicles. After a bit, Jim says , he sees vehicles coming, but they do not show up. I have to use GSX manually. Thank you. -
Is there a time limit for simon to respond to my request? What is happening, is everything seems to start ok. But if I get delayed for whatever reason, then when I finally get around to calling Jim in my case, he doesn't respond. Do I need to contact ground services right away? At times, I get a responce from Jim, but nothing happens. It seems like the omly fix for this is to restore default settings from the tool folder. Then with FSX not running, I re-configure MCE. So then when I go back into FSX, and start up MCE, everything works just fine. Thanks for any help you can give. S. Sumner

No Info Within the HUD

Here is the latest. Still waiting to hear from PMDG. They are looking at my XML file. I must have a different style panel, because there is no HUD controls anywhere on the pedestal. Meanwhile, I did a re-install, actually, a repair install. No improvement. -

No Info Within the HUD
sumnr5@yahoo.com replied to sumnr5@yahoo.com's topic in PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu
Not sure where CLR light is located, but looked all around the HUD and did not see any light. I did find the control button for the HUD. It is set to auto and brightness is all the way up. Will do a forum search as well. Thanks -
Hi all: This may sound familiar, except when I lower my HUD, I can still click anywhere within my VC, and all switches work, When the HUD lowers, you can see the entire unit and the unit also displays the light amber color within the framework. What does not display is the digital info, such as ground speed, runway alighnment, and so forth. I run EzDoc, so I moved the camera views all around, and in and out. I even put myself on an active runway with a flight plan loaded into the FMC. Engines are running, all lights are on. What am I missing. I have had no problems before today. Thanks S. Sumner

I'm not sure if this is my doing, but everything loads up fine, including GSX. When I contact ground, I ask for pushback, and mechanic says they are ready, but then co-pilot comes on and says negative, must wait for ground services to finish. Not sure what I have to have done first. Do I have to go through all services? I fly cargo, which does not require passenger boarding. I understand if aircraft has to be properly configured just before engine start. I have the latest version of program. I run FSX, SP1, and SP2. Windows 7 home premium. 64bit. Is there a proper sequence? Thanks. S. Sumner

We are good to go. What I ended up doing was, I ran force stop MCE, then restored factory settings, all from the tools folder. I then did an uninstall from Control panel. Next I suspended anti-virus. Next was a re-install. So far so good. When the install was completed, I sat for a second before jumping right into FSX. I decided to run MCE before running FSX. I did all the preliminary set-up, except for voice training. Then I fired up FSX. Once loaded, I started MCE, waited for intro. By the way, no window pop up saying "Windows config. MCE ". I also noticed no flickering of the screen. After the intro by Jim, I called, " Jim, request catering. " Jim came on, called for CC, CC responded, then, to my relief, the GSX window poped open, and the Number 4 highlighted on its own, and immediately the catering trucks showed up. We are happy campers now. I hope you will be able to pass this solution on to the next customer who may have similar prob. Thanks for your patience with me, and am looking forward to Your PMDG777 add on. Thanks again. S. Sumner

Dear FS+++ The doors do open automatically, and I am making the proper request per instructions in pdf file. There is nothing interfering with numbers on my laptop. Although I have a secondary keyboard plugged in to laptop, which has the numbers inhibited because of EZDoc program. This is my .ini file: [global] youcontrol=ctrl=F12 [GSX] shortcut=shift=clrl+F12 [ParkMe] parkingcontrol=ctrl+shift+P [XPOI] showWikiMenu=ctrl+19 toggleWikiPage=ctrl+F10 showMenu=ctrl+F11 When I start MCE, program continues to configure windows.

OK ,went to home airport, KPIA, which is not a FSDT location. When I start MCE, each time a window opens saying " Windows is Configuring MCE...................". Then loads normally. When the program starts to load and Jim makes his anouncement, I notice the screen jumps for a split second. This happens maybe once or twice. The main GSX screen also displays, then after a few seconds, the GSX screen closes, then Jim makes his announcement. Again, GSX only works when I press keys. Next option. I appreciate your help. THX.

Download and install, no problem. I started FSX as normal, then went to KLAS, which is a FSDreamTeam scenery. I then loaded up my 737 NGX. Once everything was stable, I started MCE. So far so good. Jim came on and introduced himself. After which I called Jim and requested catering service. Jim responds, and calls for CC to bring catering. After a minute or so, Jim says truck is on the way, but the truck never shows up. If I fire up GSX manually, no prob. Trucks show right up. Same goes with all other GSX commands. Any suggestions? Thanks. S. Sumner

Dear FS++ : I am a new user of MCE. I purchased your program about a month ago so I should have your latest version. One problem I have is when I start MCE, simon introduces himself and all seems as it should. When the time comes, I call or Jim in my case, because that is the name that is introduced, I call," Jim,request cattering". Jim replies as he should, then he calls CC.to send catering truck. Well, the is a no show. I have to call it with Ctrl.-F12. Then the truck shows up and doors open automattically as they should. The same goes for all commands. Jim responds but no action. Thanks for help. S. Sumner
