  1. Just curious but has anyone been able to reach 40,000 feet? I was messing around the other day waiting for the AotD and took the Red Tails P-51 to 39,112 feet before I had to go do other things. I think I could have gotten higher if I spent more time at it.
  2. This one is also a 3 day cache. I guess we will soon be getting the "Aerocache of the Week"!
  3. Did anyone else notice about 15 miles west of Ruby there is a 5 mile long section of the river that is all trees between the shorelines?
  4. Have you guys forgotten about the original permanent aerocache "Derelict Props"?
  5. I'll go out on a limb and guess that if the aircraft crashed on the show then "Oceanic" would have been the name of the airline and "815" would have been the flight number. I never watched the show so this is REALLY just a guess!
  6. When I flew under the skywalks I used one of the Carbon Cubs and I have to admit it took me 4 attempts. At first I thought maybe the middle one (where the cache was) had a solid wall in it but I finally went through. Then I quit while I was ahead.
  7. Nice cache but make sure you fly under all 3 skywalks!
  8. There are three bridges on the river that are barely high enough to get a rowboat under. On the way back I made many attempts before I made it under the first one with an RV6-A and decided to not attempt the remaining two. Let us know how you made out Luis!
  9. I wonder how you are supposed to get a team of sled dogs up to the cache? Guess they can jump real high.
  10. Yeah, it will get hot here but when it does my humidity may only be about 15% (ie: I dont live in Houston!). I can't remember if Ooiki was only up for a short while or not but at least you have it in your collection now. I, too, have 269. I'm missing some because I wasn't camped outside MS's front door waiting for the Flight release and I didn't get Alaska right away due to concerns about the shutdown.
  11. I'm like Rick, I show that inside Flight I collected Ooiki Falls on April 2 - 4/2/13. Perhaps in your sub-tropical paradise you use a different date format than we do up here. To us February 4 would be 2/4/13. Oh well, whatever.
  12. If you go to the wrong description you will find a very nicely detailed town.
  13. In case someone is keeping track, I didn't see it either. I still don't know where the crossroad is! I suppose the yellow flash is what it is like to fly into the "electronic fog" that has been reported in the Bermuda Triangle!
  14. I agree with Devon and Rick. I feel the development team knows a whole lot more about tweeking the product than I do. They wouldn't un-tweek it just for spite.
  15. I own an aircraft just like that!! :Just Kidding:
  16. add flag to signature

  17. Luis, land on the water then pull up right to the edge of the water, lower the landing gear and taxi up onto the beach. It's much easier on the bottom of your plane!
  18. 290!! Yikes, that means I am short 38. We need more repeats.
  19. After reading Meshmans post I went back to check and he is absolutely correct. They changed it after it was up for maybe 45 minutes. Anybody that was really quick got both and can probably take next Thursday off.
  20. Nice flight, grabbed aerocache then landed at airport and got out to go exploring. Took long walk into town, nothing special there. Bad plan! Note to self: Do NOT EVER EVER take long walks with weather set to "Among the Giants"!
  21. I took the Red Tail up and got there in plenty of time for the sunrise but there were enough clouds around that no matter how hard I tried I could not see the sun pop up so I grabbed the 'cache, slammed the throttle to the wall, pulled the prop control back, pointed the nose down and headed back to the airport at 400 knots. Got back in time to go to work.
  22. Are we supposed to get AotDs at 1500 hrs EDT now or did MS forget to spring their clocks forward?
