  1. Hi Guys Thanks for the quick reply. l am reading rote from the F2C manual while l get used to the Queen commands. As stated, l have tried using the multi engine start command and have also tried starting each engine individually (start engine 3). I have used the exact same command for starting 1 & 2 without any issue at all - works as expected. I can start start 3 & 4 manually - just not with F2C. cheers
  2. G'day All Recently bought F2C for the Queen. All working well with the exception of the engine start command for engines 3 &4. No matter what sequence l use, both together or individually, no action occurs. The voice command appears on text line but is not acknowledged by the FO. Command for engine 1 & 2 works fine. Any assistance greatly appreciated. cheers Steve
  3. Thanks Bryan, Sonic Studio was installed as part of the new PC package. Will remove and go from there. cheers Steve
  4. G'day All Apologies if this has been addressed beforehand but I can't find any reference to it anywhere. I recently bit the bullet and purchased a new PC with all the bells and whistles (Win 10, P3D, etc). Long story short, NGX Reboot loaded ok but can't get voice to work. Have done the following: - Installed and updated English - US to Speech Recognition - Used the same F2C settings from my NGX FS2Crew FSX-SE - FS2Crew is enabled and System Check OK - Did the Voice Training - Microphone tested ok (incl latest driver check for headset - Corsair H2100) -- Have Voice Control & SOP set 1 activated I have spent the best part of two days trying to get it sorted - any help or suggestions greatly appreciated. Cheers Steve
  5. Thanks Vic, however I have read numerous threads where several common add-ons have caused issues (PMDG, EFB, GSX, etc) in V4. As previously stated this didn't appear to be a problem in V3. Like you lot I also want to make the most of Prepar3d but just don't have the technical know how to do it. Cheers Steve
  6. So based on what I'm reading here, those without an IT doctrine should forget about V3.4. I'm sure I speak for a lot of simmers who simply want install Prepar3d and add their add-ons without this kind of hassle. I also understand these issues do not occur in V3.3 but the concern is if I go down that path, what level of support will there be down the track, particularly given it's the same price as V3.4 and you're only given a months grace to upgrade to V3.4......which ends up impacting VAS, FPS and a multitude (courtesy of Prepar3d forum) of add-ons. I'm happy to upgrade but not at the expense of losing interest in something I've been passionate about since the intro of FS1. Or is LM only interested in the commercial application of Prepar3d? i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz,32GB, Radeon HD 7900
  7. I'll endeavour to explain by a step process (YMML - WSSS using FS2Crew). 1. Open Simbrief and select/create flight but do not enter Freight, Pax or ZFW values 2. Crank up the 777-200 (FSX) cold and dark - open FMS 3. In FMS go Payload/Random and scroll until I get what I want (e.g. Pax 195, Freight 60.3t, ZFW 442.6) 4. Transfer these values to Simbrief and 'generate Op'. This provides me with Cruise (FL340), step climbs (FL360), fuel (136506 & 16.9 res) and cost index (15) 5. Fuel is then added to FMS before starting up FS2Crew 6. Once power is established in 777, I load up FMS. When I open Perf Init, the cruise (FL360), CI (85) and reserves (16.0) 7. I reject the page and enter the Simbrief values and execute 8. Approaching cruise (FL340) all appears normal as aircraft begins to level off. Within seconds, it will then begin to climb to the initial pre-determined PMDG value (FL360). MCP has automatically changed to FL360 and VNAV values in FMS VNAV has changed also. CI has reverted back to 85 9. If I attempt to change these values back to the Simbrief values it removes TOD calculations (ie there is no TOD on ND or in Prog page in FMS..... no big deal, but not expected) cheers Steve
  8. Interesting. I use Simbrief for the majority of all my flights for both the NGX and 777. As per the last post in the 777, l use the FMC 'random' payload to determine number of pax, freight and zero fuel weight. I then transfer these figures to Simbrief to calculate fuel, cruise (FL) and cost index (CI) which are subsequently used when setting up the FMC during preflight. In order for the system to accept the calculated changes from Simbrief, l reject the Perf Init upload request and insert the CI and FL. After 'exec', all my values are as l expected, however, l no sooner get to the cruise level set in the FMC and MCP and the aeroplane continues to climb to the default level the Perf Init originally calculated. A review of the VNAV page shows the default level, not my entered level. If l attempt to revise this back to my intended FL it affects the Step Climb and ultimately removes the TOD calculation - not a big deal but a nuisance nonetheless. Am l missing something or should my recalculated FL be entered elsewhere in the FMC other than the Perf Init for it to be accepted? Cheers Steve Young Canberra Australia
  9. Thanks mate, nice to know it was an easy fix (if there is such a thing!!). In the meantime I'll use Comm 2. Cheers Steve
  10. Thanks for the quick response. Vpilot. Haven't had a problem with the NGX but that was before I uploaded a new version of Vpilot. Cheers Steve
  11. Hi all, just a minor issue. Uploaded v1.3 this arvo which fixed the sound issue most experienced with 1.2. Did a Vatsim flight tonight with ATC active and found the "Swap Comm" command activated the FO response but did not actually switch frequencies. I observed the frequency attempting to switch but ultimately no swap occurred. While not a show stopper, this is a convenient feature when flying online, particularly around a TMA with lots of controllers. Maybe something for the next release. 12. Yes mate. Have gone in and confirmed Yes mate. Have gone in and confirmed Cheers Steve
  13. Gad all. I purchased the voice Airbus extended yesterday (my 5th FS2Crew). Knowing the potential variation install for different aircraft, I followed the install as per the manual. Loaded up the sim and all activated the FS2Crew main panel. I immediately noticed the 'soft mute' (M) was active even though the button was turned off. I ran the ''preflight" - voice was working (dialogue was visible) but there was no response from FO or FA. I the set about trying to undo the mute by assigning a new joystick command - no joy. The Ctrl button do not work. I have restarted FSX several times and the soft mute remains active. What is key to all of this is that it has affected my other FS2Crew apps (NGX, Q400 & 767) with same Soft mute issue. The other problem I found is that the joystick assignment for opening the main panel doesn't save. The only thing different to other installs was adding FS2Crew to the Aerosoft Airbus configuration - I did select all options as per the install manual. I suspect this is where the problem lies - from memory i did select the 'backup all cfg panels'. I have not done a reinstall as yet in the hope it is a simple fix. I have not had any previous issues with Fs2Crew and am blown away by the experience, especially when flying online. Hopefully you have an easy fix for me. Cheers Youngie63
  14. Hi All As a newbie to RC, l find it very difficult reading the 'red' text In the RC pop up on FSX. Is there any way to change the colour to make it easier to read? Cheers Youngie63
  15. Thanks Jean-Paul, that did the trick. I missed the last string of text (I only got as far the "/u" string - old eyes!! & missed the next step). Cheers Steve
  16. Purchased RC 4.3 this morning and keen to have a play but am receiving the 713 error message. Like most, I am running Win7 64 bit. I thought I was on my way when I finally received the message "DllUnregisterServer in msstdfmt.dll succeeded." Did a re-boot, cranked up Radar Contact, put in a plan and BANG....... "Run-time error 713: Class not registered. You need the following file to be installed on your machine. MSSTDFMT.DLL" To say I'm frustrated with this would be an understatement. Any assistance greatly appreciated
