Hi, I am hoping someone can help. Some weeks ago I came a cross a small utility that allowed me to practice landings etc in a simple way. The utility which was not part of NSFS itself allowed me to pick a destination airport and various landing scenarios. Unfortunately I have now forgotten it's name and I can see anything that jumps out at me in my downloads. Hope someone can put me out of my misery!!

Further to last message. I deleted the Aircraft folder as I read that this is created when MSFS starts or custom view is created, I have also repaired MSFS but this hasn't changed anything. I'm running out of ideas.

I have followed all the advice including watching the video but as yet I have not had any success. A bit baffled as I have used similar settings with x-plane and they worked. Just in case I am missing something obvious is BETTER CAMERAS a utility or just they way people post the mods??

Hi, thanks for the replies. I am aware it's the num pad needed for the numerical entries. I have tried everything, including the default keyboard entries and nothing works. The main aircraft I am using are the Cessna CJ4 and the Fly-by-wire A320. Really stumped as to what the problem is.

Hi I am hoping that someone can answer the following question. I have been trying to capture customised instrument views but had no joy. I think I am using the right combination of ctrl-alt+keyboard number. Tried this on a couple of aircraft although my preferred choice is the Cessna CJ4. I have also looked at my keyboard profile but none of the options shown there work either including ctrl-function key options. one final question, is it possible to save the Pilot/Instrument smart views to a key rather than having to select them from (I have the Turtle Beach Velocity One)

Hope someone can tell me why my keys just keep beeping at after I start a new flight plan etc. I get no reaction from LNM to the keys being pressed and have to use Task Master to close the program.

Thanks for your reply. The important word here is "should" but in my case they don't. Logitech advice direct PC connection but I have tried everything but no response from panels even though the Logitect test programs wotk fine.

I have both the items you mention but need to check the version numbers to see if they match yours, in the past there as no longer a requirement to enable the Logitech plugin separately but I give it a go enabling separatey. When you say you only use FSUIPC passively do I assume you just used "out of the box" with no changes and it's the FREE version.

Hi, I recently had to reinstall MSFS with help from Zendesk support after it wouldn't load. I also had to apply the mandatory update afterwards. Apart from noticing several changes in the way MSFS works (which I am working through as I come across them) the biggest issue I have is that neither my Saitek Radio nor Multi Panel have any display and also don't seem to be working.. I have FSUIPC, SpadNext installed and and have also run the USB Power Management changes on the USB ports and also installed the Logitech plugin. I have my radio panel connected to my Saitek Cessna Hub (powered) and the multi panel straight off one of my motherboard USB ports. The radio panel will flash during loading and SpadNext test routine seems OK. I have searched the web for clues but a lot of the info is now dated so may not be relevant. If anyone can offer any help I would be much obliged.

The "in-built" flight plan option with FS2020 is very simple to use for the more casual simmer, like me, and avoids the need for external software. However, I have found that when I check the FMS it shows "flight plan not loaded" and so far I have found it's not possible to follow the chosen flight plan as was the case with x-plane when using autopilot. Can someone explain if I am doing something wrong or do you need external software, such as Simbrief, to fully use the FMS?

I have previously come across a setting which enable me to "disable" nose wheel steering so as to be able to travel straight along the runway on take off without the need to use my Thrustmaster rudder pedals which I still need to set the sensitivity on properly. At the moment the slightest movement on the pedals cause the aircraft to move all over the runway. Can anyone tell me how to find this again as I have forgotten where it is and I wan to make sure it is working properly. Thanks

I apologise if this is a strange question but i am hoping someone might come up with a light bulb idea. For some time I have had a neuropathy problem with walking due to the brain and legs not being in sync, this was mainly in my right leg. Quite recently I have been diagnosed with slap (drop) foot on my left side so have lost the "feel" of my feet to some extent. I have been using CH Pro Pedals but this is now becoming difficult as my feet tend to slap down which of course applies the brakes plus the sensitivity in feel is impaired so movements are exaggerated. Once I am in the air this is no problem but of course for taxing-take off-landing it is. I have a rather old Logitech extreme 3d pro joystick which has been collecting dust and was wondering if might be better to discard the pedals and use the joystick for the above functions but it is getting the calibration right assuming there is nothing else wrong with it. I was also wondering whether using the nose wheel steer toggle would help at least for take off and landing but I have not been able to clarify exactly what that does. In my case it would be nice if it just kept the nose wheel straight when on the runway. I might have to abandon ideas of taxing around the airport and just use the map to place myself at the end of the runway. If anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful.

I have tried both methods but no luck. Perhaps I was not clear on my request. I want to change the aircraft description that is displayed with the thumbnail in Flight Configuration so I can easily see all the aircraft that have the G1000.

Thanks for the replies. I used notepad++ to look at an acf file and found author OK and then looked for the aircraft name which I also found. Do I just need to change that line for it to work? If I use Planemaker do I change aircraft description or name for x-plane ui?? Also, after the change do I just save the file and overwrite? The Planemaker route based on what Janov has said seems to be the easiest way although I have never used Planemaker before so it's all strange. Have noted concerns about making a copy before I make any changes.....just in case and will do just that!

Hi Which file would I need to alter if i wanted to change the way the aircraft is listed in the aircraft selection menu. For example, I want add G1000 to the description of the aircraft that have that so I know that when I select an aircraft. I thought it might be the acf file but can't find anything like the description. I tried creating a G1000 folder and placing all the relative aircraft in the but it didn't work so have assumed it's somewhere in the description as different studios have their own folder. Hope what I have written makes sense

Hi, I am trying to tidy up my install especially the various modules and scripts I have installed over time. etc. I have been disabling my lua scripts one by one so I can see what does what but I am stuck with a message I don't recognise so can't remove it, see attached screen capture .https://1drv.ms/u/s!Au2-woDkdJYlhB_pDc_SqZfZ08kR?e=Oa8glI although I am fairly confident it is to do with the VSpeed script. I am not using the script with any specific airliner, I just like to have it for various smaller aircraft such as the Cirrus SF 50 which I was using when the screen shot was taken. I would like to have the other vocal prompts such as gear up but not sure if these will work on all aircraft or how to do it. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.

Hi Alex, sorry to bother you again but strange things happening with fms file. I export the file for x-plane in LNM and it shows in the output/fms folder with the correct fms extension but not in the FLT plan options of the aircraft. .Also when I look for it with normal Explorer it doesn't show. I created an fms in another application and it imports Ok and I can edit and calculate plan and then export but if I export ot Documents/Little Navmap files it seems OK. Other than that I am getting on OK, if a little slow. Any clues

Thanks Alex, comment noted. Justn one point f I may, is there a way to lock the map in Street Order when flying. I am finding I can cycle through the maps but it keeps reverting back to the original didplay which I think is the air traffic areas (very multi coloured). Now I have it working I will look at some Youtube videos to get a better idea of exactly what can be done. I have also printed the manual so will be reading that over time.

Good morning Alex, pleased to say I have resolved the problem. I removed all my plugins other than Little xpConnect and still no joy. I then read again the instructions included with the latest LNM download and removed the plugin and the put it back from the download. I found that the plugin I had been using was previous version. I then ran LNM and x-plane and was pleased to find connection made. I have replaced all my plugins and as a precaution I have set LNM to run as Administrator. Pleased to say everything is working perfectly. I can only assume that I copied over the plugin with latest LNM version and this must have been the cause. Lesson for myself to read the readme file etc. in future and not make assumptions.

Hi thanks for the reply. LNM and x-plane are on the same PC but different drives. I am using W10 There is something very strange going on with the LNM log file because it opens in Notepad and when I then save to my desktop it doesn't show although saving again gives the overwrite error Is it possible to access the file from the LNM folders?.
