When certain procedures are activated in the CDU, the plane essentially crashes. The sim does not crash, but the plane accepts no input and all of the displays stop matching what the aircraft is doing. The plane essentially bricks in the air and forces the user to reset the sim to resolve the issue. This is tested and reproducible with this specific approach procedure into KSAN: LOC27. When the LOC27 approach is activated, the 748 simulation essentially crashes, while the P3D continues to run. Here is a clip from https://www.twitch.tv/chillywillies testing the bug:

Thanks for the answer! I agree. Here's another question that you can answer when you have time. When I control on vatsim, I publish a D-ATIS that pilots can choose to listen to or read. From your answer, I see that you are pulling atis data from the real sources. What if the real ATIS and my ATIS are publishing different arrival/departure runways?

I'm wondering about this also. Are you pulling the ATIS from the VATSIM/IVAO/PE servers or directly from arinc to get the real-world D-ATIS? If it is the latter, then I would understand the subscription cost. I imagine getting access to arinc's data is not cheap. Either way, I'm excited about this project and can't wait to be a part of the pilot community that it creates. Another question about the CPDLC. Will controllers on PE/VATSIM/IVAO/POSCON have have access to this so that they can send relevant information to pilots?

VAs are forced to fly the a/c from the airport it was left... If it is flown by a member of the VA. If it is flown by someone outside of the VA, then it doesn't count from the VA's perspective.

Create your own VA. I also think that Robert said that other users can fly VA planes, but it doesn't change anything from the VA's perspective.

VA's will have their own fleet of aircraft. At least that's how I understood Robert during his speech.

FTW doesn't simulate an integrated CPDLC, nor does it simulate integrated acars. Nor does it simulate VHF ranges for acars. I don't think you really listened to the broadcast/announcement

With PMDG releasing EFBs for some of their products, is this still in the works? Haven't heard much about it.

Heck if they write the server that connects with their products and the documentation, I'll write the ATC client. Also, this would be a drop in the bucket compared to the amazing stuff that they already do.

It will happen when it happens, Don't worry too much about it because that won't make it come any sooner. We are all waiting, but until that time (or until IXEG 737 comes out) I will fly FSX and P3D. Flight Factor just doesn't do it for me. Been on the forums for a while, but decided to make this my first post... Yeah, I'm a loser.
