I understand the time and effort that goes into developing an aircraft. I understand that it is a lot of dedication and knowledge. But the lack of support is a service that a developer must provide. These things make my opinion of a developer change. The AKD in general seems to be a good aircraft and can improve a lot in the future. But the lack of support makes me distrust and makes me think about not buying the AKD G650 due to their attitudes. I hope that it is something that all developers and future developers take note of regarding the quality of technical support.
-
AKD is not the best developer out there and is a new developer compared to other developers. But their plane is pretty good and maybe it needs a little more development and they will get there. What nobody evaluates about developers is their support. And if their plane is very good but their support is bad and arrogant, the plane becomes a medium quality plane. For example FF. I don't like FF and their support is deplorable. FF planes don't seem surprising to me at all. AKD is failing me with their support because they don't answer either. And the lack of support makes the good image of a developer go down a lot in my opinion. Example: https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/320186-vnav-not-working-properly/ And if you take a few minutes to look at other, much more recent requests, they have already been answered or resolved.
-
I understand your point of view but I don't agree totally with it. The CL650 has both and it's not cheap. I mention that plane as an example. But for the price of the GLF550 I think you can't ask for more than that. What I do see as very bad and getting worse is the support provided by some developers. Some of them have very bad and arrogant technical support.
-
I agree. I prefer that the systems and flight model are taken into account first and the technical support that the developer can provide second. I am interested in good quality textures. But it is useless to have a nice plane when the plane lacks flight dynamics and complex development in systems. And a combination of good price and good quality is very difficult. A good addon at a cheap price is impossible. I bought the AKD a few days ago and it works very well. Just a small detail to polish in the VNAV. But if we make a balance in comparison with the quality and the price and the support they provide, it is fair to pay 34 dollars on sale for this plane. For that price one cannot ask for too much.
-
The AKD GLF 550 is a very good plane. I recommend this add-on for the XP12 which is where I am using this plane. It is very complete and if you look on YouTube for Cockpit Procedures videos and compare them with the AKD plane you will notice that this metal bird is a very good development. The autopilot and the LNAV and VNAV work very well. Perhaps something to criticize are the textures in general and the tablet. But I really care about how the plane flies and its complexity in the systems. There will be some texture updates but the plane is very good and I recommend it. With this I am not saying that it is the best plane but it is not a bad product if we take into account the cost and quality.

Feedback from 777 v2 users please...
Guido1996 replied to jcomm's topic in The X-Plane General Discussions Forum
I would buy the Toliss A330. I don't like FF very much. But I would consider buying an aircraft that is not a BETA version. If it is a BETA, I prefer to wait a little longer and buy a more stable version in the future. And I'm talking about any aircraft in general. Regardless of the developer or aircraft. If it's BETA I wouldn't buy it. -

You said it. And I totally agree when you say that the HS CL650 are not in the same league and never will be. Toto's level of attention and detail is far greater than FF's, period. Flight Factor reminds me of Carenado in some ways. And several users have told me the opposite but I see the same thing as you when you say that we will be the ones who enjoy this if they continue working on it. But let me doubt until it is proven that they will continue doing so. -

FF Airbus have problems. The A320 has many problems with textures and fogged windshields. The A/T system in Toliss works the same as the real plane and in the FF one it has some small problems. The cockpit looks bad and very blurry and in the Toliss one that doesn't happen to me. The A350 has a high FPS consumption and if I compare it with the Toliss A346 it doesn't. After the last update of the A320 nothing has been fixed and everything remains the same I like Airbus more than Boeing. But in reality I like business aviation more than airliners. My favorite plane is the Lear Jet 45 and the Dash Q400 but unfortunately there is no Lear in X-Plane 😞 -

1 - I bought all the Flight Factor planes. I've been using X-Plane since XP10 and I'm basing it on years of experience and mostly on Airbus which I like more than Boeing. You say that many of the quality 757/767s from PMDG don't exist and you're right. But I'm not going to analyze that because I don't use MSFS and I bought it to try it out but I like X-Plane 12 better and the X-Plane flight is better for me. You're right about this they built what people wanted for simulation and I think it's good that they listened to people and I agree with what you say. But it's not a developer that I like FF 2- Yes, that's true. It takes a lot of time and money to build a plane from scratch. I didn't know the rest of the information because I'm not an expert in code development and editing. What they should do is explain this and explain why they don't pay more attention to it. Your explanation was very good and now I can understand the situation a little more, but Flight Factor should be in charge of explaining this as you have explained it to me. 3 - It makes sense, but I don't believe it until I see what happens in concrete. Time will tell. 4 - That's just how it is. I don't see any logic in getting desperate when an airplane comes out incomplete or in BETA version. The developer should do it calmly and we have to wait for the right time and without rushing. When the airplane is finished and complete and ready to fly, we will buy it. -

To summarise a bit so as not to make it too long. In my case, I like Airbus more than Boeing and I have spent a lot of money on the A350 and A320 from Flight Factor and the truth is that I would like there to be a return policy because I am very unhappy with these two products in particular. That is why I decided to go with Toliss and the truth is that they can continue to improve and the textures too, but they are a superior complement and highly superior if I compare them with the Airbus line from Flight Factor. Maybe I don't know how to express myself very well. I speak Spanish. I'm not pretending that an airplane is updated monthly because it is unrealistic if that happens and obviously it will never be 100% finished because in real life there are modifications and in avionics and in many other things. But the Airbus have been left aside. I feel cheated. Today for me the most talented developers are Hot Start - FlyJSim - Toliss - Thranda - Aeronask and some others more in the order that you want to put them. I hope you can understand me better -

1 - I don't consider the Boeing planes that Flight Factor makes to be any good. The 757 and 767 have not received any updates for a long, long time, as has the A350. They recently released an update for the A320 and they haven't fixed much and in fact the problems continue. I bought everything from .Org and I also use X-Updater and there you can see that they are abandoned and that they don't update them. Zibo, being freeware, makes the best Boeing plane and updates many times more than Flight Factor, making the best Boeing plane today. Toliss' Airbuses are excellent and of the highest quality and so far I have no complaints about their planes. 2 - The time invested in any aircraft is a lot. There is no doubt about that. But if they have already abandoned their other Boeing aircraft, leaving them aside and without updating them, why wouldn't they do the same with the 777v2? I followed the project and it seems that they are putting a lot of effort into it, as they do at the beginning of all the projects they do, but then they just end up lying there, and in fact that happens with their previous aircraft. 3 - There is an audience for everything. I prefer to wait for the plane to be finished and complete. I don't need the developer to rush and launch a BETA. I prefer to be patient and wait for it to be ready in due time and without rushing. 4- I agree when you say that the depth of current addons is crazy but I don't see my comment as disrespectful in criticizing a developer whose behavior in after-sales and technical support I don't like. I agree with this when you say that the amount of work invested in them is enormous. But I don't agree when you say that users only expect to invest the same amount of money as 15 years ago, but they want that addons to have everything. And as fast as possible. Because that's not my way of thinking. And I've mentioned it to you before I think it's fine if you don't agree, but everyone expresses themselves based on their own experience. Maybe you like FF and that's fine. But I don't like anything about them. -
ToLiss announces A330-900!
Guido1996 replied to Franz007's topic in The X-Plane General Discussions Forum
You are right about that. Obviously I don't expect payware quality in a freeware plane but I do expect acceptable quality for a freeware product. The guys at ZIBO deserve a big round of applause and recognition for the constant work on the project. I actually wasn't aware that Hot Start was making an A220. Yes, he is one of the best developers. FlyJSim seems pretty good to me too. -

There's still a long way to go before the plane is complete. But Zombie Studios is developing an A220 and it looks like it's going to be pretty cool and it's going to be freeware. Here's the link so you can follow the project and see the progress. And I think it will have the new Airbus avionics you're looking for. https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/87833-airbus-a220-100-for-x-plane-11-and-x-plane-12/&page=2&tab=comments#comment-400156 https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/291870-zombie-studios-is-developing-the-airbus-a220-100-for-the-x-plane-11-and-x-plane-12-flightsimulator/&page=2#comment-2764772 -
FF 777 v2 Available again to Purchase
Guido1996 replied to jason74's topic in The X-Plane General Discussions Forum
I think this plane will be another semi-abandoned product from Flight Factor as you mentioned before. This developer is like that. If they have already done nothing with their previous products, what makes us think that this new plane will be any different? They can't count on my purchase because they have let me down due to their behavior and I feel like they have scammed me with their actions before. For that reason I don't plan on buying or supporting anything from Flight Factor. It makes me distrust them. -
