I am still on the fence....

Have there been updates?

How's the overall playability?

Does it run smoothly?

This is because I like what I've been watching in some youtubes, but there's also the toliss 330-900 approaching release and I can only buy one of these...

  • Hey - As of today, I'd go with Toliss.

I have been very impressed with the FlightFactor 777v2. FF has consistently updated the aircraft through the beta process. Performance is fantastic on my meager 2060 Super. Sounds are superb - Probably the best in X-Plane (Random Thought: I wish Rotate would update the sounds in their MD-11.)

The coolest feature is the interaction with simbrief. The aircraft connects with simbrief and loads fuel and payload based on your Simbrief OFP.

It's a definite buy for any X-Plane fan.

I think there are already 24 patches since the Alpha, but if you are not too anxious I would wait a little bit for this 777 still has some time left.

I would buy the Toliss A330. I don't like FF very much. But I would consider buying an aircraft that is not a BETA version. If it is a BETA, I prefer to wait a little longer and buy a more stable version in the future. And I'm talking about any aircraft in general. Regardless of the developer or aircraft. If it's BETA I wouldn't buy it.

Hey -
As of today, I'd go with Toliss.

Best regards, Fritz ESSONO

This aircraft can be a before and after in airliners but they keep patching big bugs so as I said before it is better to wait a little bit unless you can't stand the hype.

I purchased the PMDG 77W and the FF777 v2 around the same time. Since then, I've completed over 30 flights with the former but only one with the latter. I'll give the FF777 another try tomorrow.

@GCBraun, if you do please give some feedback here.

I also own the PMDG 777, but I don't use the sim since a long time...

Stability and reliability. The PMDG 777 is a 1.0 product whereas the FF is obviously an early-access product. This was, of course, known to me upon purchasing.

The FF 777 v2 was updated to release version, is out of beta now, however the VNAV is still a work in progress.

Are you sure about that?

I just fired up mine and updated it and and it's at 2.0.24 beta.

There has been no announcements found in either the discord or FF support group forum on the org, which being a leading indicator, it is still open to accept more bug reports.

I believe it recently came out of alpha and is now in Beta. Mine is the same as yours 2.0.24 beta.

Yes, this is the changelog I got after the update of my copy:

VNAV Note:
For the very moment, VNAV is still in work in progress state, so it could be buggy and has missed features, readouts and etc.
Known major buggy/missed things for the moment:
    - Descent vnav guidance/profile could be buggy
    - No any winds is considered for vnav calculation
    - Buggy or no at all vnav guidance for holds and vector legs
    - GA in relation to vnav is buggy or doesn't work at all
    - Missed some data and readouts on vnav cdu pages
    - Missed some magenta highlighting for some active vnav readouts in the cdu
    - Missed some fmc messages related to vnav
