Cockpit looks bad. Like X-Plane 10 bad.

Textures, materials, shadows, etc.

At least he's made an attempt at presenting the avionics correctly. Not sure how accurately they might operate (as in they might be perfect), but I haven't heard any buzz over his previous add-ons).

My dad was a G IV / G V IP, so I'm highly interested in a good Gulfstream addon.

But this doesn't look like it. Hope to be proven wrong.

As an owner of the excellent AKD G550, I am going to purchase this product in the belief that AKD Studios will make improvements, judging by the G550 quality. I bought the G550 when it came to market v1.0 and watched it get better and better. AKD is still updating it too. I still haven't figured out the custom MCDU 100% but I'm working on it.

Wow... That "FS9 Vibe" has been strong lately on XP12 with Toliss and now AKD...

Beetween a not perfect cockpit-resolution and a flight model from last century, the choice for me has been quite easy to do 😉

In FS2004 i had better looking planes 😂

The developer is a one man show and I know from experience that you can only get hung up on a single part of the sum that makes up an add-on for so long before you start to lose both your sanity and the motivation to go on. So kudos from Antonin to see this and the GLF550 through in a really short timespan (I've occasionally checked up on the development) and even rolling out continuous updates to the latter in between.

I would likely own these models if their real equivalents and their cockpits weren't that ugly.

My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days

I had a nice flight from KTEB Teterboro NJ to KSDL Scottsdale AZ. The LNAV and VNAV worked very well. Autopilot and hand flying were good. Nice to get up to FL460. Seems like a nice bird to me. Like the GLF550 improvements will be forthcoming.

Looks like XP9 Graphics 🤪

It's almost 2025, where is that physics based camera, rain effects, dark cockpits fix, etc...

I think all the comedians have come out, Laugh a minute. Im waiting to see them produce such a complex plane and do it perfect. Or is it maybe the developer needed to release to the product so they can eat, funny thing that, people need to eat. We al like to get paid for our work, dont we,

I mean, I get it. Everybody wants their money worth of a product in some way and it's a bit disappointing when something is not quite up to par, but to outright ridicule what, after all, amounts to hundreds of hours of work is another level. No wonder nobody wants to make add-ons anymore.

is simply not enough if you are not an experienced 3D graphic expert/artist/developer. considering up to 500 industry developers/artists/experts with years of experience have been working ca. 4 years for that other simulator. just like no single filmmaker will ever be able to come up with a hollywood blockbuster.

AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090,  Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler.

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

The AKD GLF 550 is a very good plane. I recommend this add-on for the XP12 which is where I am using this plane. It is very complete and if you look on YouTube for Cockpit Procedures videos and compare them with the AKD plane you will notice that this metal bird is a very good development. The autopilot and the LNAV and VNAV work very well.

Perhaps something to criticize are the textures in general and the tablet. But I really care about how the plane flies and its complexity in the systems. There will be some texture updates but the plane is very good and I recommend it. With this I am not saying that it is the best plane but it is not a bad product if we take into account the cost and quality.
