I enjoy v6 a lot, with some workarounds it is completely possible to get a lot working. it all depends on what you are looking for i guess.

There has been a lot posts on this, it does work fine mostly! I also use v5 to install all the scenery on and then import it to V6. The only issue i have in some places are elevation errors.

Thanks ! I Managed to get it working finally (add-ons.cfg vs scenery-add-ons.cfg). only thing now is that the trees are seetrough, might be a driver issue .

Maybe a bit off-topic.... but how do i get the orbx trees working in V6? either trees hd or the TerraFlora v2.? I cant get it to work and keep having to look at the ugly stock trees...

For me i am using a de havilland dove model for my sim that just doesnt exist on the other platsforms. Also recalibrating all my (real) instruments is going to be a nightmare . So also a V7 that is very different to V6 and earlier for me is not an option if it is not backwards compatible. I would really like another update of V6 . I do enjoy V6 to be honest and think it is better than v5 .

Think they did about three updates quite quickly after release and then nothing anymore. Wonder if they closed all "ports" due to all the hacking going on ini the world... i can fully understand that !

Just wondering why there have been no more updates for V6? 1. Security issue? 2. They have given up on it? 3. There will be a last update just before V7 is released ? ( just like with V5) I have no idea just wondering......

This is a w11 issue, A lot of youtube stuff about this. Big issue. Some recover after rebooting the computer....

I dont have the beta version but the latst nvidia drivers fixed the issue. I was only running one version behind the latest one !

As the title says , my msfs2024 freezes in the startup screen ..... when i select start thats it . Doesnt work anymore?

If msfs2020/2024 is so superior why dont real flightsim companies use it? Because it is not that realistic. Realistic does not mean eyecandy! I use p3dv6 for my home sim , msfs2020 for VR vfr things . Please go and fly a real flightsim and then you will be disappointed by the eyecandy, there is little. That is not what a real sim is about so stop comparing.

2020 is , imho, more realistic than 2024 in the night lights department....

Changing dlss settings in vr causes my sim to crash, i have to switch off vr , then change and then engage again.

My experience is a letdown to be honest. I am using a pimax crystal light , 4090 and 14900kcpu , 64gb ddr5. I am using the pimax recommended settings but it is a stuttery mess. Performance a lot worse than msfs2020! also with a lot of tweaking Night lights are totally unrealistic ( also outside of the airport) Way to much bloom at nightand colors are off. I just bought 2024 today , against better judgement ..... i am going back to 2020 !

It just amazes me how people find it ok that 2024 is in such a state and it needs a couple of months etc. etc. etc. For this amount of money its should have been a lot better! releasing it was wrong. Other than maybe an early acces thing or something but it is not ok!

This can happen in real life, wrong gs beam but i dont think it has been modelled in p3d....

That is what i am seeing, 4080 is maxed out (3 screens plus gps screen so 4 total). Havent tried to put a 4090 in it to see the difference but am sure in some cases it must help.

I dont know if the usb issues have been resolved for most but for me it helps when you switch off the usb selective suspend in the power options.

I have had a simular issue, it is caused by another (4th) monitor with a different refreshrate . After switching on and off tb or vs it works correctly again. Have posted it on p3d forum but no luck. Bought another 4th screen ( for the gps) with a higher refresh rate and no issue anymore
