  1. Something else I'm investigating also is the aircraft's slow flight characteristics. Even with full drag flap extended, when approaching stall speed she was climbing at 500fpm with idle power!? It was a blustery day, and I was into wind, but it was only 15-20kts... The whole flight model seems odd.
  2. Honestly I can't say, I'm holding off flying it any further until the issue is fixed - it's kind of a deal breaker. The PIH states it can go to the mid-twenty thousands, but in the sim she can't even fly past 16,000ft with this bug. From my short time in the plane, the visuals are nice & I like its quirky cockpit layout. I imagine once fixed she'll be a lovely cruiser.
  3. If anyone was following this, I've now had conformation from Bill (the dev) that this is a problem with the product itself, and will be fixed in a future update.
  4. Crikey, I knew about the duke but not the Starship as well. He's mental for taking all those on at once! But then again, if mental is what got us all of his previous stuff then bring it on.
  5. I'm personally most looking forward to his TBM, but there's been radio silence on that one since it was teased at the end of the Baron/Bonanza trailer.
  6. May I ask how you got the FTsim soundpack working with the BLSQ C208? On his patreon he doesn't list that soundpack as being officially supported, it's only listed for the default Asobo version. Many thanks! Scrap that, he updated it 2 days ago with an official patch for the black square. That's some timing.
  7. Hi all. I recently picked up the Lionheart Creations TB-21 GT as I fancied a decent IFR touring aircraft that can fly at altitude. However, when attempting to fly above 10,000ft it almost starts behaving like a normally aspirated engine rather than a turbo. Looking at the PIM, I was expecting around 24.7inches of manifold, with 2500rpm & 75% power at 13,000ft. Instead I was at FULL power, 2500rpm and it was barely scraping 20 inches of man-pressure. I uploaded a YT video demonstrating my findings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kj2nyvg3Xwc (the video is still processing as I only just uploaded it) As far as I'm concerned I wasn't doing anything wrong. All the systems were on, fuel valve selected, mixture leaned using EGT, oil pressure & temps in the green, I tried flicking on & off the fuel pump and changing the prop pitch, but nothing was getting me close to the numbers I was expecting. Am I being a dafty? I am using MSFS v1.33.8.0 and the latest release of the Lionheart TB21 (v4.4.2) Any input would be appreciated, with thanks
  8. They also teased a TBM 850 at the very end of that video, which is the one I'm most looking forward to. It might also be their first addon with a custom exterior model, as there is no TBM 850 natively within the sim - exciting times.
  9. To this day, putting the prop levers to 1020 in the Q400 has to be the most satisfying sound I have encountered within a sim - so I sympathise with that greatly.
  10. In all cases I was starting the engine from the battery, not external power - so that rules that out at least. The King Air certainly has one hell of a complex electrical system for an aircraft of its size, so it's been a fascinating process trying to wrap my head around the diagrams. I guess when paying the money for these more complex addons, this is what it's all about!
  11. I made some progress on this since I posted earlier this afternoon. From what I gathered searching online & reading the BKSQ manual, it happens when the battery becomes overcharged, and in-turn overheats. The plane will disconnect the battery bus from the electrical system to protect itself, so your only electrical power from that point onwards will come from the generators/inverters. Since the gear motor is powered by the battery, you'd have to extend the gear manually as you correctly stated. The manual does include a checklist for this event, so you can try the following: Battery Tie Open CTR Volts = If Matches Batt Volts... Bus Sense - Reset BATT TIE OPEN Annun = If still Illuminated... Battery Bus - Emerg Gen Ties - Man Open GEN TIE Annunciators = Illuminated CTR Volts = Confirm Unpowered Number 1 Inverter - Bus Transfer Landing Gear Relay - Pull Off Landing Gear - Extend Manually on Approach However, I have found the best method is to avoid it in the first place! Make sure you follow the start-up checklist by the book, no shortcuts! In particular, make sure you set the Prop Levers to 100% (definitely not feathered, which is how they will be when the sim loads in Cold & Dark), and you RESET the Gens once both engines are started, with the Gen Ties on "Normal". Once you have a good start, monitor the BAT amps on the overhead to make sure the battery stops charging BEFORE you attempt to taxi. The AMPS +/- should return to zero and the DC Volts should be around 28V. Then taxi with the engines in LOW IDLE and be very easy on the power, if the "battery charging" message comes up, stop and monitor your amps once more - if it's not too late! I'm not a King Air pilot so this could all be absolute tripe, but I haven't had an issue with the Bat Tie since being mindful of this mechanic within the BQSK system. Hope this helps!
  12. Was this ever solved? I'm having similar issues myself with the BAT TIE OPEN
  13. Well bugger me. That was it! I just had to Shift+Left Click. I feel so bad, you went to all that trouble for that, my apologies!
  14. This is my first time doing anything Python-related, I'm just aiming to get a couple of Ortho tiles for P3D done, so I'm gonna skip rebuilding the pyd haha! This is what happens when I run the .exe in /dist: It just gets stuck there. I shall try downgrading to Python 3.6.4 64-bit and let you know what happens.
