  1. I haven't tried it yet, but here's the new one that popped up in the library: http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fsxscen&DLID=196482

I guess it's true pilots can ask for a SID or STAR, but in reality the SID/STAR is for ATC's benefit, not the pilot's benefit. If you're given vectors in lieu of flying the full SID/STAR, unless you have a flight safety reason not to comply, the pilot's job is to fly as per the ATC instructions. If you want to fly a full SID/STAR for training purposes, for example, then I agree that if workload and traffic permits ATC will probably try to accommodate the request. But the only reference I can find on the topic in the AIM is 5-1-8 b.6, which states that ATC may issue a SID or STAR as appropriate, with a note saying that pilots can file flight plans indicating that they do *not* want to accept a SID or STAR. But not the other way around—there's no reason for a pilot to "force" a SID or STAR if ATC doesn't need it for traffic management. In short, it would be okay for a pilot to not accept a SID or STAR, but I think it would be highly unusual for a pilot to not accept vectors.
  3. Trying again tonight, I figured it out. Using control 76776 and parameter 536870912 (MOUSE_FLAG_LEFTSINGLE) is working now... I could have sworn I tried that but I was trying so many combinations of things last night I must have done something wrong.
  4. Fellow pilots, I'm trying to set up key commands to set flaps to a specific setting. I think I've worked out what should work, but it isn't working. I want to press "Ctrl-A" to set flaps to 5. Looking in the SDK, that should be event 76776. I've tried parameter values 0, 1, -1, and the number associated with a mouse left-click from the SDK. But when I press Ctrl-A (I've also tried other key combos and assigning to a joystick button), I only hear a small "click" in the sim and nothing else seems to happen. Here's my FSUIPC 4.939n setup: From everything I can find online, this should work. I can't get any controls to work... when flaps didn't work I tried various other buttons in the 737 cockpit and I always just get the little "click" sound and no action. Any hints as to what I might be missing? This is on Win7 64-bit with the latest 737NGX version with the latest FSUIPC version in P3D 2.5 with latest hotfix.... Thanks for any suggestions.
  5. Except during negative leap seconds, when you can skip from 23:59:58 to 00:00:00 in one second (although so far all leap seconds have been positive, so you pick up an extra second going 23:59:59, 23:59:60, 00:00:00).
