  1. I get it now! Wasn’t sure if you were trolling 😂! I’ve spent a lot of time flying the 744 since it was first released. I’ve made it a point to learn the airplane as much as I can by reading the FCOM and trying not to only rely on the AP. My apologies for assuming you were just being a troll. Thanks for clarifying and like I said I do agree there are a lot of RL pilots and summers who solely rely on the AP. I managed my issue on that flight by manually entering my desired FL for the step climb so it worked out. I’ve just never had to change the step size in the time I’ve flown the 744 which has been well over 10 years so when this issue arised I wasn’t prepared. That’s why I mentioned I probably should re read the FCOM to brush up on my knowledge of the aircrafts systems. Thanks again!!!
  2. I see and I understand completely! I can see how the title is misleading. I appreciate your honesty and thanks again for the help.
  3. Thanks everyone for the reply! Some very helpful information and some not some much lol. I appreciate the responses.
  4. While I agree with what you’re saying I don’t understand why you felt the need to reply with this??? I’m not a real pilot but I do hand fly in the sim quite a bit. I asked a question which people do all the time.
  5. I did not 😩. So many things I’ve gotten use to on the 744. Never had to change the step size till today. Thanks for the tip!
  6. I am flying a long haul heading westbound. Initial cruise altitude is FL320. My question is shouldn’t my next altitude be an even number i.e FL340? I was always under the assumption of your flying west you would have an even FL and flying east you would have an odd FL. My fmc is calculating my step climb altitude of FL350. Thanks - Sigmund Horn
  7. Yea, I haven’t read that in a while. I should probably go through and re familiarize myself with some of the details. Thanks again for the quick response!
  8. Thank you! I’ve never had to select that option in the 744 it automatically switch when I’ve done flights before. Maybe it pre determined by livery
  9. I noticed that upon reaching Cruise the thrust setting doesn’t switch from CLB to CRZ. I have to manually set it in the FMC. If I recall this should happen automatically. Could someone clarify? Thanks - Sigmund Horn
  10. I recently have been getting terrible fps with in outside views even at default airports where I easily use to get 60+. After uninstalling the windows update my fps seems to have come back. Anyone else had this issue?
  11. Jim, all the addons I have are compatible with v4.2. I upgraded to 4.3 after the ctd started Never had this issue until recently. The only difference from then and now was I installed orbx Europe openLC. I uninstalled it and I’m still having the same issue. I’m going to uninstall all my addons and I will report if I still have an issue.
  12. I should give some pc specs. I have a NVidia GTX1060 3gb i7-7700 no overclocks.
  13. I was attempting to do a long haul flight from KJFK-EHAM and my sim crashed. When I try to restore the flight it will load 80% during the auto generated scenery loading it CTD's. I've tried deleting the .cfg file. Turned all sliders to the minimum. Have tried a repair install and nothing seems to fix the issue. I would really like to avoid having to do a complete reinstall. 14. Thanks for clearing that up lol. Know any good landclass addons for Russia?
  15. So, in other words this is what the default landclass looks like? It's ugly!!! Lol
