Hi all As I only Fly around the UK usually below 3,000ft so eye candy is very important to me. but back in the days when i used to use FS2002/4/and FSX I seem to remember there was a way to cut down on the Terrain data load time . Although it only takes about 15 seconds It would be nice to speed it up. Is it posible in windows 7 64bit or would you recomend me to be more patient :blush: Regards Rex.

I have just replaced my 12" lilliput With a 21.5" Asus VS229 res.1920x1080 to use as second monitor for my FSTramp map. My No1 moniter is an ASUS VK248H 24" both have the logo HDMI on the front and have the same conectability HDMI/DVI-D/VGA .after I installed the New 21.5" useing DVI-D conecter in the GPU-OUT and Monitor input, I used AMD catalist control manager To detect the new monitor which it did. Restarted the PC but the No2 did not show up with a piture and said it as no signal on HDMI even though it was conected to DVI-D but when I tried to put up Firefox I shot over to the blank screen and so did the curser. After a while I phoned ASUS UK tecnlcal help. I realy should not have botherd She obvesly Had no idea what was the trouble she mentioned compatability but when I gave here the two model numbers she said she could not find Them I wont bore you with anymore from asus :angry: :angry: Could any of you gents recomend were I go from here if it is compatability I will have to be returned. Hi all (Please note this is not a knock at Playsims) who have been very helpfull in sorting out my install problems of their currant VFS scenery programs that are instaled wit their EFI installer. They have Now employed Tony Meradith as a consultant To help custermers with prblems with their new installer. Tony uses TeamViewer to take over You PC remove problems and install you new scenery. If you are getting trouble contact Playsims for help on Telephone +44(0) 1924 509273 or email andrew@playsimspublishing.com and ask for help I f you did manage a successfull install with the ESI installer It was recomended for me to remove it strait after the install to stop interfearance with other installs and when you purchase new playSim scenery do the same with the new installer it loads I hope this may help other Member overcome this ESI fault. Hi all Well I have Just been through this very distressing problem with Playsims and its ESI installer. They have now admitted there is a problem and have employed Tony Meredith as a consultant Who will use TeamViewer 10 To sort out any problems you have with Playsims VFR scenery. I f you are succesfull with the ESI installer It is recomended you remove it after you instal the new scenery as it could effect any other installs you attempt New purchases will reinstall the installer. if you are un-succesfull with the install contact playsims Telephone: +44(0)1924 509273 E-mail: andrew@playsimspublishing.com and ask for free Help from Tony Meredith. Hi again all Well I now have FSTramp on my pc and registered, But one small item I am haveing trouble with slideing FSX tramp screen onto my small lilliput moniter to check the map in flight I succeded in one attempt put it was unstable. Other times it takes FSX with it. Would someone please let this old trier to succede on this one please. :blush: Regards Rex

Hi all Well finaly back in the air with FSX Gold Sim set on DX9 and I have purchased my Focker100/70 from Flight one. Even though I used to fly project focker in FS2004 I have many things to recall into my gray matter before take off will be attemted. No problems with the Beech barren58 All ILS flights are working well and my site seeing free flights and manual landing are now back up to an accepable level. I am currenty useing Plan-C v3.11 for my moveing map, But with a slow to react brain these days I can get confused on my approch. When I used FS Navigator I used an app that said Fly to here and clicked on the destination and off I went. Could any member who uses SSTramp please tell me,does it have that facility.(fly to here) and has it any faults with FSX. I will realy appreciate your Help again. Rex

As a youg man I worked hard to acheve success. With an ME. BM and became a member of Mensa (looks good on your CV). This all helped me acheve my ambitions in Engineering. Now My ambitions are to avoid local government employees,meetings of all kinds, and as my disabilitys include the inability to walk, hear, and consentrate on more than one thing at a time. I have no hang-ups I spend most of my day on my PC that I designed to start useing Flight simulator and three more games to keep my old gray matter as active as posible. I live in a disabled Complex with friendly staff and my partener spend a few days a month staying with me and i also spend a few days with her at our home in Porlock. Life is what we personely make it and is our responsibility to see to that. I still know how to smile .joke and accept constuctive criticms and my new tuter and frient is called GOOGLE. Hi all Here i am again looking for your help, After a checking round the net to find if it is posible, to fly a Focker 100/70 on fsx. I have read that the two sites that produce Fockers for FSX say they are not compatable with DX10 Preview setting.and I dont understand what that means. As my GPU shows up at DX11 would I be able to use these aircraft as I was weened on Progject Focker from it birth in 2004. Hi all Well this 72 year old is now realy confused. If as you gents say steam as never sold FSX Gold on disks then the ones I have Bought that have a G logo GENERAL and not the 3+ with www.pegi.info Logo have to be genuine especaly as netshadoe as the same simulater with the same case.as mine. So I can safely use these disks to instal FSX and then sell the new unopend one on . Thank you all very much for you responce . Rex

Hi all You Can Buy Steam FSX Gold On Disk in both Australia and New Zealand The disk case is Identical to standerd addition Case Ecept it as a diferent Logo With a G in a trangle and the word General. On the bottom of the rear of the case It says Plese contact games for windows Australia 13-20-58 Newzealand 0800-800-004 for customer support These are the ones they are advertizing in the UK https://ebgames.com.au/pc-145318-Flight-Simulator-X-Gold-Edition-PC But the pitures they use are the Windows UK logo in the bottom right corner. Hi all. The changes in FSX that Steam as had to make, are not fully compatable with some add-on that I will be useing. Plus steam as the Habit of interfering with your game play.That is my opinion of Steam over the years (I have used it on other games.But please dont take that as fact with FSX.) I am just assumeing. You can buy FSX Gold Steam disks from Australia on the internet But you still have to register them through steam. As I have not installed these disks, I am not 100% sure,you may still have to downlod some of the program to use steam FSX general loaded from disks. ??. I personely will not use steam for FSX at present. but who knows in time Who knows, I dont. The reson for the post is that if you require a copy of FSX Gold (original) new or used It will cost You Much more than Buying the STEAM addition.but there are traders out there offering origenal and sending steam. Hopefully I have just bought a used copy for £50 guaranteeed to be un-registerd from a UK private seller. Best regards Rex.

Hi I hope this is the correct forum to place this post' Some traders are advertiseing FSX Gold (USED) with a piture of the originel logo. and not stateing if original or general (steam).edition. I got my fingers burnt the first time I ordered even though the sales piture showed the original logo in the left corner I recieved a new steam simulator. I accepted this and put away the steam disks. I then saw another original used FSX Gold for sale on Amazon. I emailed the seller and asked him to confirm that it was the original FSX gold and not the general Steam edition . He replied it was as advertised. I have just recieved a General new steam edition at a cost of £80+. No doubt I will eventully get my money back but I dont want others to fall into these unscrupulous traders hands. Thank you both for your reply's When I was last on Microsoft Flight sim was a few years ago before my illness. And all my software was given away The new program was downloaded from just flight But would not install for me to use at the point of the progam installing FSUIPC? Juist flight said that the reson was the new download of Flight Sim Commander does not now suport FSUIPC free so they gave me a credit and left the download for me If I Thought if I bought FSUIPC it may work??
