  1. That did the trick. Works great. Just have to make sure to set up the correct save directory re: C:\Users\Name]Documents\Flight Simulator X Files, etc. Once again thanks!!!!
  2. Thanks very much. I'll try that. I do have Aiviasoft EFB and I agree it's a must have program. I didn't realize that was a methord of getting the flight plan into the Carenado aircraft. Regards; Noel Anderson
  3. I just purchased the Carenado Socata TBM-850 and noticed when trying to file/use a flight plan with VATSIM that there are no SIDS or STARS available in the G1000 database. Also ATC fixes change all the time and are not in the old data. Apparently this aircraft adna lot of otheres use the original FSX (2005) database and does not have the capability to utilize Navigraph data as some of their other aircraft do. Is there any workaround someone might know of? I've read that the FSX database itself is not upgradable. Any chance Carenado could ammend their programming to access thhird party databases such as Navigraph? Or perhaps their advertising of their products on their website and others could let customers know that the database used is very old an d not suitable for modern day simming with ATC/VATSIM? Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Noel Anderswon Sheffield, MA
  4. Thanks fo rthe reply. The Linda.exe files is localted: C:\FSX\Modules\LINDA 2.6.3 Standard v3\LINDA 2.6.3 Release\FSX\Modules Note there are 2 Modules folders. One a subfolder of C:FSX and antother a subfolder of the Linda release files unzipped. I'm totally confused at this point. I'm not a beginner witth FSX and unzipped the files to the locations in the install directions i.e. FSX/Modules. The FSUIPOC files are in their proper locations with the Linda Folders. The linda.exe fiels are in subfolders underneath the Modules folder.
  5. Thanks I'll check that setup. Another thing I didn't mention I see FSUIPC files not found. Setup required in Red. I am a FSUIPC paid user and FSUIPC does appear in the dropdown medu on all of my aircraft. All of the FSUIPC files, etc are in the Modules directory.
  6. I'm a newcomer and have downloaded and unzipped the files of both Linda 2.6.3 and Aerosoft Airbus to the C:\FSX\Modules folder. When I try and select an aricraft all I get as a selection is: FSX Aircraft. No Airbus or anything else. Could someone point me in the right direction? When I unzipped the files I put them into their own "Dowwnload" sub-directory and copied the contents of each to the Modules directory. The only other contents of this sub-directory prior to adding Linda were the FSUIPC files. Any help would be most appreciated. Rewgards; Noel Anderson Sheffield, MA
  7. I think the problem is solved for now (hopefully I haven't spoken too soon). What I did was customize the Standard.XML file to the way I wanted it (mostly deleted all the alphabet and num keys) and exited FSX. The changes were saved to the Standard.XML file (date/time matched). I then changed the file to Read Only. Copied and pasted the file a few items to create back-ups for future use in case this fix doesn't work over time. So far so good.
  8. I'm having a major problem with FSX changing the settings in my Standard.XML file in the Controls sub-folder. I change a setting using the FSX edit contols/buttons screen to accomadate EZDOK. I delete the key assignments for A and S and Shift A and Shift S for example and FSX replaces the original values the next time I start FSX. This is just 1 example. It does the same for other keys and oystick assignement I've changed to acomodate FS2CREW for example. I do use FUSIPC to get aroudn some of these issues but some of the assignments are not listed in FUSIOC such as Autofeather on/off which I need to assign to a key to start FS2CREW. Might anyone know why this is happening and how to prevent it? I still have the original Standard.XML file written in 2007 by FSX in the FSX root folder which I have not edited. Is there a way to trick FSX into writing to another file other than Standard.FSX in the Controls subfolder thereby leaving the edited file alone? This is a mojor annoyance and PIA as I have to edit the contol assignments pratically each time I start FSX. There are time when the assignemnts stay in place and then for no apparent reason FSX re-writes the file. I am basically a calm person but I would have a few choice workds for the program coder who wrote FSX. Any guidance would be most appreciated.
  9. I recently purchased and installed the Aerosoft Airbus 320 into FSX which comes with FS2Crew included. Seems to work OK but in the Airbus Configurator screen when I select either buttlor or voice comtrol button I get an error message " FS2Crew does not appear to be installed." I've tried using the fix exe file for common registry problem but no change in error message. As I said the FS2Crew seems to be working properly but before I purchase the program to work with my other aircraft I would like to resolve this error message. Thanks very much. I'm a beginner and am lost.
