  1. c/b start and generator pops. Repair does not help. Engine page does not work. Is this related to u14? Tecnam 2012 is confirmed broken after u14. Other aircraft you know is broken after u14?
  2. FSS tecnam 2012 fuel valve bug after u14 Overhead valves are stuck after u14 Checked for keyboard/hotas conflicts. Cannot find Aerosoft forum - FSS- to report this
  3. First - there is a reason why trike gear was invented.. I am using the study level A2A Texan as a yardstick. A taildragger with large radial motor. I learned a lot from flying this. Some theory - The rotating airflow from propeller hits one side of the tail, creates a yaw. More significant is the gyroscopic effect from the heavy radial. It kicks in with rapid pitch change.. To mitigate this, you need a lot of clean straight airflow over rudder for rudder authority. Takeoff: Tail wheel lock. There is handle above trim wheel to lock tailwheel (shift g) - but it is best to assign a button. Line up up on runway PERFECTY prior to lock tailwheel. Trying to correct an initial wrong heading with tailwheel locked ends up with disaster.. Lock tailwheel and taxi forward a bit while kicking rudder, to confirm lock. Takeoff run - Keep stick back pressure as the airspeed increase. The more clean airflow over rudder, the better. Release the stick sloooowly to neutral. Remember a rapid pitch change induce gyroscopic yaw. There will be a yaw move. Try to anticipate it with rudder input - but with increased airflow you will have plenty of authority. Landing: - Tailwheel unlock - . Do not land too fast, dancing on main wheel Try to remember the attitude when aircraft is parked. Touch down in this attitude gives you a 3 pointer. Slowly flare to this attitude a few feet above the ground while stall warning sounds. Stick all way back during roll out. Continue to fly until complete stop. This is fork lift steering at high speed. Final - I find the needed takeoff yaw correction slightly more in Waco than A2A Texan. I am not a real pilot , this could be due o a larger tail in Texan... -- And again - there is a reason why trike gear was invented..
  4. I deleted and remapped light to only one key for light. Variations in toggle - on - off - all - panel ........ Still the panel light flight flickers with key pressed and does not stay on.
  5. After hunting down a wrong path in my Carenado Mooney GPS bug thread. I was able to find the problem. With username containing (in my case Ø) non English letter: The destination is locked to last visited. Solution to this is to tick off beta box in Win Admin to read URF . This fix creates a new bug: Selecting a (normal length) route between Departure and Arrival - the result is far off. Distance is always higher than 5000 nm . Desired Track is far off. And aircraft do fly in wrong direction - not following magenta track. I have tested this - confirmed
  6. Main issue with this F-15 is the price I would not mind a price under $ 3 . (I would not even bother download for free) The Aermacchi is nice, but still too fast and high altitude flier. Fs2020 scenery is perfect for Carenado Mooney . I fly between airports with it, and Piaggio for circling around scenic airfields. Still waiting for GA aircraft - study level expecting a price tag between 50 -100 $ (Yes I am looking at you A2A).
  7. At $40 - I would demand a cockpit like this . 4 year old with a price tag $ 14.95 And afterburner look and sound:
  8. This thread is derailed to Mooney specific documentation. I am capable to figure out how Mooney works without much documentation. The lack of documentation is a symptom of lesser quality in a payware aircraft. The simple A2A Cherokee is supplied with 30 page manual. Not because it is needed for unexperienced noobs, but because experienced simmers expect it and read it. DCS A10 aircraft manual is at 690 pages, I think you need to read a few of them ...... A2A Accusim will be avail to fs2020 in the future, and some of you guys are going to hate them. (Checking crystal ball) 1. You prime - open mixture and throttle. Motor runs rough and die 2. Prime more - booster pump on. Engine does not start. (Plugs are wet) You crank until starter is burned and battery is flat. 3. Next day - you fire up fs2020 up again. A nasty surprise - the battery is still flat. 4. You may even try to reinstall - battery is still dead........ ... I am spoiled with payware addons in other sims. I expected, and fs2020 deserved better aircraft. Yes, I am spoiled. The immersion drops with simple texture in cockpit. Lack of wear marks around most used switches. Different sound from each switch. The sound is muffled when plugging in headset. The slight lag in instrument response. The rough run when leaning too much. Only visible by subtle vibration on panel, and rpm needle itself. This the point of my thread - Please read heading again...
  9. I am not able to find documentation on annunciator panel and how it is linked to approach modes. But previous experience in other aircraft, it was not very difficult to figure out how it works. There are a few YouTube tutorials, but I do not find them very good. My short guide is not intended for experienced pilots - explaining STAR and transition.. But hope this will shave off some of the learning curve if you are new to this aircraft (as I was a few flight hours ago) The Garmin GN530 free update is highly recommended. (saved me hours of frustration). And you need approach /(LS) plates . Purchase outdated from Simplates. You pick a few data from the approach map .(Called ILS in Simplates). - Write them down on a piece of paper. 1 Find the IAF. This is the point where you enter the ILS. This is a 3 to 5 letter word. 2. Altitude at IAF 3. Heading inbound runway 4. ILS frequency. (Look for lower part of a frequency - range 109 to 111). Example KMIA (Miami) Rwy 08R 1. KROME - (IAF) 2. Altitude 3000 3. Heading 092 4. 110.3 frequency Next - build your Flightplan . It is important that IAF is the last waypoint before airport . Example above: KROME ---- KMIA. As a beginner, prepare the approach prior to takeoff. 1. Enter ILS frequency on both radios. The rightmost will display DME at some point. A nice hint close to airport 2. Turn nav1 HSI course needle and OBS nav2 to correct ILS heading. Maybe not necessary, but it will give a mental picture of what is happening prior to ILS capture. Also set hdg bug near the approach hdg. If something goes wrong, hit HDG mode, and you easily adjust as necessary. With experience, you will certainly always use last minute HDG for a smooth ILS capture. - Flying - Important : you must be at correct IAF altitude well ahead of IAF. I prefer to use the little rocker switch l/h side for a smooth descend. Remember to engage Alt hold at correct altitude. When aircraft turns towards rwy heading - select VLOC (radio nav mode). Important! Check annunciator panel reads ARM. !!! If not - something is wrong. When localizer close in to center - Check that mode switches automatically from ARM to ACTIV. Now ILS is captured. No need to disconnect ALT hold manually. It will capture and follow GS automatically.. Tip: Do not extend landing gear while flying into GS. It may give some pitch and speed adjustment. Wait for GS capture and aircraft start to descend. Disconnect AP at 3 - 4 nm DME. This give you time to pitch trim for 85 knots speed. Adjust throttle for sink rate. Do not chase GS needle at this point. Focus on VASI lights. Almost forgot to mention a white APR annunciator. I am not sure when it comes on, and purpose... 10. A good documentation is not a direct copy of original. It is specific to the model - what is not implemented - keyboard shortcuts and similar
  11. Found those pdf first day. Checklist and reference charts . No Operational manual.
  12. Waited until last week to purchase fs2020. Reason: I wanted a few decent payware aircraft to go with it. I picked the Piaggio and Carenado Mooney. Expected to find a 50 page manual (Mooney).... Well .. how on earth can you expect to operate this aircraft correctly without documentation. The answer is obvious - it is not designed for a deep study. - just jump in and add power. Been checking YouTube for better aircraft. Common: no documentation, low standard Except outside view. It really screams buy me! Had some hope for the new Aerosoft Arrow watching the promo video. Hoped to see something like A2A Comanche intro video. No just outside view for 2 minutes, and a short glimpse of cockpit viewed from back seat. Thanks, seen enough - no buy.. Just realized that the mediocre Mooney is the best addon aircraft. at the moment . I enjoy flying it - but you need the Garmin GN530 free upgrade. Finally - I dare to call the new F-15 a fraud (based on reviews) The name very close to DCS, and price tag close to similar DCS aircraft. It is easy to be confused by watching DCS videos , and check if it is avail for fs2020
  13. I installed the GN530 mod recommended above. It works very well. Thanks!! 🙂😎
  14. Thank you all for suggestions and help. I think I know how to navigate within the Garmin. Starting a new flight - a plain basic between 2 airports, the magenta line make sense, but not distance. It is typically over 5000nm - and Desired Track heading make no sense. The flightplan is clean. Only the two airports show. Using the Procedure button, I can play around with Departure - Arrival - Approach. Activate (white) new intersections shows up. Some make sense, other are 5000 nm away. I can delete them in flightplan - but it does not help. Only once I was able to fly inbound runway with next intersection 4 nm. But next appeared 40 nm away - and then the white track extended to an intersection 5700 nm away - ETE 49 hours. Deleted both intersections, but Garmin was unserviceable.... My last attempt in Bolivia ended with freeze and CTD when activate an Approach I can fly the track with HDG, but with DME way off, it is not much help. ............................ ...........There is mod avail for more authentic use. But according to description there are still problem with fs2020 bugs. Can it be used for entering manually data from SkyVector and Plan-G in a simple way? ....................... I feel I wasted too many hours on this. While waiting for Carenado support. 1. Can I expect the same problem with Carenado Seminole? 2. Reinstall - any problem to expect? (Reinstall Mooney was a pain) . Any folders that are still left after uninstall? Thank you all for suggestions and help.
  15. Thanks for doing this . Your annunciator panel is similar to mine.. Your DTK (Desired Track?) varies from 210 to 158. Mine is always stuck at 360 on all flights. Europe/US (and it do fly north - ref stby compass) Your Distance make sense counting 20 to 6 nm .. My Distance is staggering approx. 66500 nm ! ETE is similar to mine. Your Nav 1 HSI deviation works. I got red flag. ................ Ticked filed at Support. .......................... I never trust default aircraft - I purchased fs 2020 and Mooney together and jumped straight into it. Flying around same airport to map hotas and stuff . then I tried navigation. With no documentation I had to trust old experience. Assuming that Garmin plan must be activated first. Ref MRj Q400 you have to select Direct to wpt to activate it Playing around with this idea. Next Boeing FMC , you have to open flightplan, with enter and execute. Played around with similar buttons on Garmin too.. No doubt I saved something weird while doing this....
